Relaxing water fountain in the middle of the patio lounge area

Took my lady here she never been here before and wanted coffee with awesome ambience which the water fountain set the tone with numerous small glass mirrors. The coffee was excellent too.

I've been here a few times and every time the coffee is great, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the pastries and good. If I'm ever in the area I make sure to stop by here and get my coffee.

This location has the best cafe de olla. It's a must try. Excellent customer service, especially by Nick. Stop by and visit. It's a true gem.

Great hidden coffee & tea cafe with homeboy bakery goods and sandwiches located in el sereno industrial area. Super friendly service and the best cafe ole' around. Cool little patio with fountain. Plenty of street parking in front. Free WiFi.

A unique cute place which requires street parking. Staff are friendly and easy to make conversation. The menu is simple which is great if you suffer from choice-paralysis. They do have a secret menu for drinks if any of those call out to you. The seating area is wonderful under nice SoCal weather. Lots of tables and good atmosphere for studying or chatting with friends while the fountain runs in the background. Food and drink arrived at a good pace. The grilled cheesus sandwich is delicious! It's hard to find places with grilled cheese as a main dish on their menu that isn't a sad version of a burger or on a kid's menu. This one was worth it. They even offer a side to accompany it. I got the pickles option. I ordered the horchatta latte from the secret menu and it was good! Only a tiny bit on the sweet side, but I normally order 50-75% sweet on drinks. So personal taste may vary.

If you live or work near El Sereno, then more than likely you've heard of Holy Grounds. It's a little breath of fresh air amongst the row of businesses and storage facilities that surround it along what feels like a never ending street, Valley Blvd. Some might even describe it as a little hidden oasis - with a secret garden-like patio - in this (dare I say) urban jungle. My go-to favorites are the hot cafe de olla without creamer and breakfast sandwich. Honestly, you can't beat these prices (the breakfast sandwich is only $5.50!). But don't try to call in advance to order for pick-up. It's a busy place and with food made to orders, so it requires a little patience. It's well worth it though! In the meantime, you can browse the curated selection of hand-made gifts made by local artists and artisans. Of course, they have their own Holy Grounds coffee and branded merch, too. If you have the time, I would encourage you to enjoy the patio - now that it's re-open! The smoothing fountain serves as your soundtrack as you sip on your yummy coffee, admire the arrangement of plants and bohemian decor, and don't forget to check out their built-in, multi-media altar near the patio exit door before you leave. It holds true to its name, as they have made it feel like a sacred space. For my laptop users, please note they do not have available outdoor outlets, but I have still worked from there. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, do NOT park in the liquor store next door as they are known to tow cars. Usually, you will find ample street parking in front or across the street.

This coffee shop was recommended to me by a coworker and wow am I grateful. I was welcomed with friendly faces and an overall calm from the entrance before I ordered an horchata latte with oat milk and a coffee cake. The latte was just the right amount of sweetness and didn't have any bitterness that espresso can tend to have at other places. The coffee cake was able to be warmed and was comforting on a chilly day like today. I went outside to sit in the little patio and immediately thought it was so cute. There is art everywhere; n the mosaic tiles, sold on shelves, just everywhere.

The grilled cheese has tomatoes, but otherwise was delicious! It had a lot of nice, Smokey flavor and was definitely filling enough as a meal on its own. The coffee was very good as well, and they do have a secret menu. Check out the pictures some other yelpers posted. The big draw of this place, in my opinion, is the setting. They've put a lot of effort into making the outdoor area feel like an oasis with the fountain and cacti. There's a lot to look at, especially on the reliquary.

You would think this was something other than a cafe while driving on Alhambra Ave. Tucked away next to an abandoned restaurant and industrial buildings, this place provides a small menu and special drinks. The cashier recommended their breakfast sandwich, which name I can't remember. I also ordered an iced Cafe de Olla with a horchata flavor. There's also a section where they display and sell local vendor's work. You will find handmade items such as earrings, paintings, mugs, and many others. There's outdoor sidewalk seating and a patio available. The back patio is very relaxing, and there are a lot of tables where you can sit, relax, and enjoy food and drinks. There's only street parking, which is a hassle.

Holy , this place was delicious. To start off i loved my coffee and service was amazing. The cafe de olla wasn't as strong for me, but my vanilla latte was great. The coffee cake was so good i had to get another. And the cheese danish was the perfect ratio all around. I will definitely be returning ! and the outside patio was perfect to hangout or even bring your laptop to study *also they receive some of their pastries from homeboy bakery, i love how this place has utilized the most of their business by helping the community

Gas, the sandwhich was super fire and well made. Balanced set of ingredients. Coffee was strong and well pulled. Matcha was ceremonial and cared for upon preparation, we love that. Most likely will be back, often.

The space is bright, airy, and welcoming, with plenty of small tables inside and a cozy sidewalk setup for outdoor dining. Service is friendly and genuine, definitely gives off that family-owned vibe. Street parking is pretty scarce, but there's a small lot around the corner on 5th St, which is still convenient. I ordered the Beef Shawarma Plate and grabbed a box of pre-made baklava from the counter to-go for my lunch break. The plate was a generous portion. The beef was seasoned perfectly, complete with fresh pita and a delicious garlic spread. The baklava, unfortunately, wasn't the flaky goodness I'd hoped for. It seemed like it might've gone into the container while still warm, so the texture was a bit off, but the flavor was still great. Would love to try it fresh or crisp next time. Overall, Pop's is busy for a reason. Whether you're ordering to-go or dining in, it's absolutely worth a visit!

For those of you unfamiliar, a Dosirak is a traditional Korean packaged meal with rice, banchan, protein, and an egg, similar to a bento box with different compartments for various foods. We ordered the Angus Beef Galbi (Short Rib) Dosirak ($29.99), which included nine pieces of short ribs, white rice, salad, japchae, four sides, and one mandu. Our Dosirak included mac salad, kimchi, house salad, and japchae. While it's on the pricier side considering the portion size, the food is high-quality and delicious. I hesitated a bit at the price since my son chose it for his lunch, and it's a lot of money for a child's meal. I knew he wouldn't finish it or want everything, especially the spicy items. We all loved the galbi and would order it again, price aside. The Dosirak was packaged perfectly, and each compartment was delicious, complementing the galbi perfectly. I am genuinely thrilled to have such an upscale, quiet, and relaxing restaurant right here in my neighborhood. You can truly taste the chef's passion and dedication in every dish. Every time I bring friends here, they are absolutely amazed and delighted by the flavors. We ordered quite a few dishes today. The highlight was the Chilean Sea Bass. The chef served a massive, beautifully thick cut--which is actually the hardest to execute. If overcooked even slightly, Chilean Sea Bass becomes dry and tough. But the timing here was absolutely perfect. It had a gorgeous, golden-brown exterior, while the inside remained incredibly moist, tender, and delightfully springy. The seasoning was spot-on and never overpowering; it wasn't too salty, perfectly preserving the natural, fresh flavors of the sea. We also had the Chicken Bowtie Pasta. I typically avoid chicken dishes at restaurants because they often turn out dry and lack the rich aroma you get from beef or lamb. However, Sage's chef elevates chicken to another level. Rather than using the traditional Cantonese technique of quickly flash-frying in oil (which yields a smooth texture but sacrifices the natural meat aroma), the chef here expertly pan-sears the chicken over extremely high heat for a short time. This creates a deliciously crisp exterior that locks in all the juices and rich flavor. Tossed with perfectly cooked bowtie pasta and cheese, the result is so flavorful and well-balanced that we simply couldn't stop eating! Another great thing about Sage is their incredibly generous portion sizes--we left completely satisfied! We finished our meal with a great cup of coffee and the chef's handmade Tiramisu, drawing a perfect, sweet close to our evening. Highly recommend!

Most of the time I find them very dry and bland. However, after hearing from the owner's son that it is their best selling dish, I was convinced to try it. And it truly exceeded all my expectations! With each bite, the meat was packed with juicy, delicious flavor and just melted into my mouth. And with the combination of aromatic rice, grilled zucchini, and fresh hummus, my dad and I completely devoured our plate. Now it got me to thinking: what makes it so different from other places? Well, I actually learned that the owners import a special olive oil to infuse into all their meats, giving it a rich flavor without excess fat. Next time when I return, I'm definitely trying the beef kebab to compare! SERVICE: 5/5 Honestly some of the nicest, humblest, and friendly staff I've ever seen! They were able to answer my questions and offer suggestions, which I deeply appreciate as a foodie aiming to try the best of what each establishment offers. The location is quite convenient and inside Blossom Food Hall with other food vendors in vicinity. (I've actually came several times for ice cream and didn't realize how extensive it was). Seating is plentiful with bar seating and tables throughout the food court. Of note, because it's located on Mission Drive, parking may be limited during certain hours but there's a parking lot in the back. I didn't have an issue finding parking although I can see it easily getting packed on busier events.
