This place has the best ceviche I've ever had. The service is remarkable and the chef himself came to tell us what he's cooking up. The music and ambiance is that of Latin America and Peru. I had the chance to have lunch at this relatively new restaurant in kendall and I have mixed feelings ... I'm giving it 4 stars but is maybe a high mark. Since the name of the restaurant is "pollo loco" decided yo try their 1/4 chicken meal which comes with 2 sides. I upgraded one of them to "chaufa" fried rice that way I could try something else as well. First thing you notice as you come in is that the restaurant itself is very clean and dinning area is inviting. Also important is that they do serve beer and wine always a plus! Food came quickly and roasted chicken is nicely cooked. Not dry. Flavor wise... very average. The chaufa was okay I can see this restaurant having better dishes in their Asian side or maybe the seafood. The chaufa was flavorful and not salty. Food comes with 2 sauces ... a huancaina... and a green salsa wich was much better. I will have to try some of their other dishes like the choros a la chalaca or maybe a jalea to have a final, more precise opinion of "el pollo loco". Having said that, I would not order the chicken here again. This is something that for sure you can make at home. Great service and very personable attention. read more

This is a new restaurant it just recently renovated and opened. So we decided to give it a try. So glad we did. Food was delicious including dessert that was not able to take a picture because my mom ate it all too fast. Really recommend as the service was excellent as well. We will surely be back very soon to try some more. read more

This was our first time here we live close and love new places we can even walk to. This place was such a bad experience. The place was absolutely empty and dark seemed to have opened recently and we were excited. They only had Spanish menus available not a biggie as you can access a menu online ( I know Spanish my husband doesn't well but just so you're aware the server/cashier was like this is all we have and walked away, I just knew I could access online lol). We ordered and the food took pretty much as I timed it after about 20 min of waiting another 43 min to come out. How is that even possible I don't know, but the wait would have not been such a big deal if there was clear communication like "hey we just opened the kitchen and it's going to be a wait" or idk anything to let us know it's being worked and acknowledged. Yet not a peep and the guy who took the order that was also at the front sitting at the cash register sat on his phone the whole time and never checked up. When I asked for water I was brought a water bottle ... I found that so weird as usually this is asked still/tap or sparkling. The only time I'm given or asked if a want a bottle might be a bar not a restaurant. To top it all off after such a wait the food was COLD! How, I don't know. They also forgot to bring out rice. Yes I'm not sure if this is worth a second visit especially paying for nonexistent service for two people in an empty restaurant. read more

I'm very disappointed, I was so excited when I saw that they opened. I ordered Lomo Saltado and fish saltado the flavors are really good but the portion of fish was down right ridiculous. I got around 2 table spoon of fish, what the heck!!!! If I ever go back for take out they'll have to show me the food first before I pay. So I decided to called them and told that because I got the lunch special the fish portion was smaller and that I got 4 ounces of fish. Really, what I got wasn't 4 ounces. Lesson learned. This fairly new Peruvian restaurant still needs a little work to be great. The place it's ok, normal decor and ambience. The food we tried was good. The ceviche was very tasty. Lomo saltado was good, not the best I've had but good. However, the service was not good at all. When we sat, the table was dirty. I looked around and all the tables were dirty. The place was empty. They could clean the tables while there is no one there but they wait until you sit to clean them. The server took long to do everything. When we arrived, there was only one other table with people. She took way too long to take our order then took long to bring our drink order even though we only ordered water. She brought out the food and forgot my husband's plate. We were all done eating when she brought out his plate. So yes, service needs a lot of work. Peruvian restaurants are known for great service but this one needs to improve. This is a Peruvian restaurant in Kendall. Just ordered takeout after midnight. We called to place the order and were told it would be ready in 10 mins. As soon as we arrived we walked up to the window and the food was ready. We observed live music inside and people dancing. It was very loud. The service was good, we left a tip and went home to eat. The lomo saltado was not bad. I've had bad, although I think it's hard to mess it up, this was not the case. They had crinkle cut fries which were meh. The portion was very large, great for sharing. My son had a churrasco and it was very underwhelming and not well seasoned or charred. He said it tasted like " a boiled steak." Given that there are not that many options open this late in the area it's not bad, definitely beats fast food. I would recommend them, will return and I'm glad they are open late. However, I probably wouldn't go back during regular hours when I have better options. read more

Great food, fresh and cooked on the spot. It's kinda new do it wasn't that busy but the service was outstanding and the Pisco Sour w out of this world. the Seafood jalea and papa Huaincainas wee to die for. I debated going there because it's new and I was skeptical; now I regret not going sooner. the ambiance is fantastic, the place is clean and they have big screen playing music videos. The restaurant overall is good; ordered food for the entire family and both my mother and brother said their meals were cooked well. However I had concerns with my Lomo Saltado where the fries were cold (some seemed undercooked) and the meat were not as soft as would be. The rice and the sauce were ok though the sauce seemed to be missing a little bit more soy. Overall not bad and fits into traditional Peruvian, I would go back to get another meal but hopefully they'll really be more careful when preparing meals that are for take out and for their in restaurant customers. read more

First Impression: so so clean, lovely ambiance, great service and the food was so good. Large portion, enough to take half home for dinner tonight! I had the Pollo Salteadlo and it looked so good when it came out that the gentleman sitting next to me ordered the same. We were both very happy and both agreed, we would be back. That Huacaina sauce the topping on an already delicious meal. So much variety on the menu, I believe I will be bringing my husband for the Ceviche and Seafood! This review is a little late as I went to Ceviche Prime for dinner on Thursday, August 15, however, I really wanted to make sure I wrote a review. My sister's college friends were visiting and they insisted on going to a Peruvian restaurant. Due to the late notice, I wasn't able to be ready until 9pm. We got to the restaurant around 9:30pm, and Diana was already cleaning. We asked if we'd still be able to eat and she told us to come in. We sat, ordered our drinks, and food. Diana was our waitress and also the bartender. My sister and her friends said how great their maracuya (passion fruit) pisco sours came out. We ordered a variety of items including lomo saltado, pulpo, causa, and since my sister is vegetarian, she ordered the ceviche de champiñones. We were pleasantly surprised to find that item on the menu. Most Peruvian restaurants don't offer it. Everything came out quickly and was so good! I personally had the pulpo (octopus) and it was cooked perfectly. My sister's best friend claims that was the best dish of the night. Our family has 5-star chefs directly from Lima, so we know good Peruvian cuisine, and I can honestly say this place is excellent. Carlos is the chef. He just came from Piura only seven months ago! I'm so happy we stumbled upon this restaurant on a quick Google search. They've already had great reviews, and I can totally see why. Oh, and the music! Absolutely perfect! The best salsa was playing. It was just overall such a great experience. Definitely come out and try Ceviche Prime. I can't wait to return. read more

This place amazing but needs bigger signs, cause they deserve the attention. As of 2023 they changed owners and remodeled and it's great. I call the mgr the darker gentleman there and had him smell it and his eyes twitched. Horrible place DONT EAT HERE. No replacement or money back. Terrible read more
