I was hopeful, but this place is done. Charging $25+ for a simple sandwich and menu items above $50?!?! Their seating is all broken (see images) and shouldn't look 40 years old, especially after such a recent renovation AND inKind capital. Service was a 5 out of 10. Seriously, we should have mourned it when it closed a few years ago and that's it.

A glass filled with snacks, possibly nuts or candies, is positioned on a wooden surface. The scene is illuminated by a warm, orange-red hanging lamp, casting a soft glow and shadows. The background features a wooden wall with faint chalk or marker writings, including some numbers and letters. The lighting creates a cozy, intimate atmosphere typical of a bar or lounge setting.

I just happened to be in the area and came by around 11 PM on a Saturday. It reminds me of a divey lounge. Only classic cocktails. I loved the staff- very sweet and attentive. They also didn't kick us out when they closed which was nice of them. Ambiance is very much a "neighborhood bar" kinda vibe. I loved the sexy dark and red ambiance.

I really liked the old school atmosphere and the music. The service was good. The food was mediocre. The onion soup was made with onions that went way past caramelized into burnt territory. The prime rib I went for was nothing special and at the price for the size I won't be going back for food, maybe for the bar.

Espresso Martini's - Two espresso martinis with whipped cream and chocolate chips are positioned on black napkins on a wooden table. A small, lit table lamp provides warm lighting, creating a cozy atmosphere. The background is dark and slightly blurred, emphasizing the drinks and the lamp as focal points.

This was my first time at Fox's Lounge and I must say...it's a vibe! I had such a wonderful time with a friend. It's a great spot to have a couple of cocktails and chit chat. We came on a Tuesday, it wasn't too packed. We got a great seat at the bar. It's known to be the darkest bar in Miami since 1946! They used to have a liquor store on the side, there's still a little window where people would order alcohol from, which is pretty cool if you ask me. I love that it's been open for such a long time. I can't even imagine all the memories people have created here. Definitely will be back once again. I truly enjoyed the Pornstar Martini, it has a passionfruit essence to it and a bit of lime as well. This cocktail was very refreshing and easy to sip. Another cocktail I tried was the espresso martini. It was good, strong imo but my friend thought otherwise. I wish it had real espresso in it, the use cold brew instead. It still was pretty decent, the foam is what truly made the cocktail.

Bar area, cosmopolitan - A pink cocktail in a martini glass is placed on a black napkin on a wooden bar counter. The drink is garnished with a lemon wedge. A small lamp with a pleated shade provides warm lighting, illuminating the drink and part of the bar. The background features shelves stocked with various bottles of alcohol, creating a cozy bar atmosphere.

Have been here twice for HH after work and enjoyed both times. The drinks were good and the staff was attentive. It does get busier as time goes by but you can always grab a seat at the bar.

Old fashion and espresso martini - The image shows two cocktails on a dark table in a dimly lit bar setting. One is a glass of iced beverage with ice cubes, and the other is a coffee-colored cocktail garnished with coffee beans and a gold dusted surface. A Fox's Lounge menu with a fox logo is positioned behind the drinks, indicating the bar's branding. The background features warm lighting and bar furniture, creating a cozy atmosphere.

Love a good after dinner drink here! It was pretty busy for a Friday night, but we were able to get a seat near the bar and the service was great. I ordered an espresso martini which was delicious with not too much cream in it as well as a old-fashioned. Also, the ambience was good for conversation as well as some really great music will definitely be back.

A white, dome-shaped pendant light with vertical ridges is suspended from the ceiling, casting light on a dark wooden wall. The wall features various graffiti, carvings, and scribbles, including names and symbols, etched into the wood. The lighting creates a contrast between the illuminated fixture and the dark background, highlighting the textured surface of the wall.

Un bar escondido en south miami que es una joya. Que buen ambiente, música, comida para estar con amigos.

A neon sign in the shape of a question mark is mounted on an exterior wall during nighttime. The sign is illuminated in red, casting a glow on the wall and sidewalk below. The background is dark, emphasizing the bright neon light and the question mark shape. The sign appears to be part of a business or establishment's exterior decor.

Giving Fox's a 4 star: They get a 5 star for drinks and the old Fox's vibe (and for a clandestine rendezvous). DJ was great and as the night went on, lights got even dimmer and the music louder, like one would expect. However, only 3 star for food. The two filet mignon tidbit orders were both loaded with gristle and were truly awful; mozzarella marinara was subpar; on the positive side, truffle fries were far above average. Service was average with a 20% automatic tip included. Might come back and try some other food some day as the vibe is pure Fox's (and that's a good thing!) PS No Fox's package store any longer...at least when we went.

It is possible that the vibe of Sunset Tavern will not change much, but as we all know, it may never be the same. Sunset Tavern is one of those few places where it is just as good to go in the morning for a Bloody Mary and enjoying the scenery of South Miami, as it is to go at night, drink a beer and watch a live band perform. The ambiance is casual, the service is up to the challenge, and the price is reasonable. As the matter of, I went to Sunset Tavern last night. The name of the band playing was Electric Mayhem and they were absolutely outstanding. The energy and the chemistry between the band members, the song selection, and the talent of the musicians was off the chat. I have never been so mesmerized by a local band before, and I plan to go back and see them again. They perform in Sunset Tavern the first Saturday of every month. But as I was watching the band, I took a look around. So many memories within those walls. I will miss this location.

I talked the friendly valet into letting me park between a handicap space and a dumpster. The service was awful. It was 1:30 pm and there were about 15 customers with capacity for 100+. I was given a menu and a glass of water timely and the lady behind the bar seemed friendly. There were plenty of staff around waiting tables and backing the bar. I ordered a blackened fish sandwich and a draft beer. The beer came right away in a plastic mug. The pour was less than 12 oz. (small mug) and the brew was barely chilled. Almost room temperature. After 20 minutes and no fish sandwich, the bar lady came by and asked me: "Did you get your fish sandwich?" I said no. She then went in the main building (presumably where the kitchen is located) coming out a few minutes later while holding up 2 fingers, mouthing "2 minutes." The sandwich was $22 without fries (which were and extra $9 as a side). I didn't order those. The half-pint warm beer was $8. About 7 minutes later, another server came from the main building and delivered a scrawny, soggy bun containing a thick, small, undercooked, hunk of blackened fish flesh only 80% skin free. I had to finish the filleting myself. The toppings were parsley and onion. It was the ugliest and most tasteless blackened fish sandwich I have ever been served. I should've taken a photo. Anyway, by this point, I was in a hurry to get out of there as the place was a total fail. I picked at the fish with my fork and knife and ate the part that was actually meat and cooked, leaving the rest (skin included) and the soggy bun on the plate. With an 18% gratuity included, a simple grilled fish sandwich with no sides and a warm beer came out to almost $40. On the positive side, the view of the water and the Miami - Brickell skyline was good. However, I won't be coming back to this joint again. If I could give it Zero stars, I would.

I proceeded to walk inside and I found a seat at the bar and I sat there. There were some people in there and I definitely wouldn't say it was dead, but it also wasn't crazy busy. There was three people working one lady with red shorts and curly hair another lady with blue pants and straight hair and then a short guy. I later seen a taller guy as I was leaving, he was not involved in my experience. The lady with the straight hair and the guy were on the side I was on they kept walking past and at no point seeing if I wanted anything, I know some bars you have to get the bartenders attention instead of them checking what you want so after 8minutes, I attempted to get the female's attention a few times for a few minutes and it did not work (she did serve other people during that time and was having conversation with ppl). Eventually, the lady with curly hair came to my side to make someone on her side's drink. I asked if I could order a drink and she motioned to give her a minute. She went back to her side, made the person's drink, then took some new orders from people and made their drinks and served beers.I waited over 6 minutes. Eventually she came to the side I was on and took the order of the person sitting directly to my right, completely ignoring me. At which point I concluded I was not going to get any service in this establishment and decided to leave after a total of 17 minutes of sitting at the bar and being completely ignored. I try to self reflect and think if I did something to warrant this treatment but I couldn't think of anything. The only thing that makes me feel slightly better is there was a guy sitting to my left that had a cup already and he kept trying to get her attention and she seemed to be avoiding him. I'm not sure if everyone was avoiding him for some reason and I was just unlucky for sitting next to him. I hated the feeling that this experience left me with and I hope no one else has this experience. The DJ was pretty good, even playing a few minutes of Reggae which surprised me. I ended up going to the Seminole Classic Casino and got service as soon as I sat down. The DJ was playing R&B and I ended up tipping him he was so good.
