Normally this place is a hit, But today was a miss. The salmon fried rice was lacking a bit of flavor. The potatoes in the saltado were extremely salty. They did seem a bit short staffed on this random Thursday so I'll chalk it up to that . I still love this place just an off day but the drinks were still delicious.

Ceviche Point, where have you been all my life?? We went on a Friday for lunch. It was sooo good. We started with yummy Peruvian beer and fried yucca fries. Lunch entrées were perfect. Don't forget to ask for their delicious green sauce that has a nice kick to it. Just order more beer if it's too spicy for you, lol. Service was fantastic, parking right in the front, and prices are reasonable. $85 for all. Can't wait to go back. Go check them out!!

I adore Peruvian food and my favorite restaurant shut down recently (probably because of a lack of business due to COVID-19). We decided to try Ceviche Point because it is in one of our favorite plazas (with Doris's Market and New York Market--a great Asian grocery store). The eatery is small and not at all luxurious. It seats about 16-20 at basic tables. You scan a QR code for the menu, or the waiter will bring a handheld device for you to view what is available. There was no ceviche appetizer, so we ordered a fish ceviche meal and shared it as an appetizer. While my husband liked it, I thought the chunks could have been thinner because the fish was not melting in my mouth, and I found myself doing a lot of chewing (or spitting out chunks I could not chew). He had the lomo saltado; I had the pollo saltado. I wanted tacu tacu but it was not available on the menu and the server offered to make it. I was a bit leery, so turned down his offer. I did not want the french fries and my server offered yuca fries instead. Great. Thanks! My chicken was a bit tough. Tasted like white meat that had been a tad overcooked. But my husband's beef melted in my mouth. (I am not a red meat lover, but next time, I plan to order the beef.) The meals were a tad too salty (too much soy sauce) and I mentioned that to our server, who seemed to welcome the critique. The place seems to be a mom and pop shop with only about three people working there. I even saw our server go out and come back with what looked liked groceries or meat in a few plastic bags. It was $66, including tax and tip, for dinner for two. (We did have the ceviche dinner, which was not huge, as an appetizer. So, in essence, we had three entrees.) Service was super friendly and attentive. And it is one of the reasons I gave the review four stars (really wanted to give it 3.5 stars but there are no half stars), and part of the reason we will try this place again.

Stop by for lunch and was surprised We ordered the lunch special lomo saltado and it was pretty good size and flavor. Surprised me that it came with enpugh meat qs other Peruvian restaurants use more onions and tomatoes yo makenit seem like it iw enough food. The fish ceviche was bigger thqn mostbplaces and had great flavor. Service was ok nothing to brag about, but it wasn't terrible. The place is small om the inside. They have a lot of parking spots as they are located inside a plaza with other restaurants and businesses.

A good Peruvian spot to go to. I'm Peruvian and I can say that although they are not the best, their dishes are satisfactory to get a good grade from me. I am also a good eater and get peeved when I'm served mini gourmet sized portions and pay entree price but leave hungry. This was not the case here. They serve pretty good portions to make the cost of their plates ~$20 average worth it. The lomo saltado is made with filet mignon! Not all Peruvian restaurants serve such good meat in their Lomos so that's a big plus. It is my favorite dish here. Their fish ceviche has good taste and good amount of fish pieces. The chupe de camarón is a seafood based soup with shrimp and was agreeable with a good portion too. I've never seen the place too busy and agree that it's typically on the quiet emptier side. There's a nice patio area in the back if you want to enjoy good weather. Service has always been friendly and nice. Jonathan was our server tonight and he was great and even brought out some good sauce suggestion. Overall satisfied with the visit! PS Bring fuzzy socks if you get cold easily, their AC is on blast!

I've been to Peru and this place is genuine. with typical Peruvian cuisine. My wife ordered Pollo salteado . it's eanough for two people . I ordered Pulpo Anticuchado. again eanough for two people. excellent flavor and well done. we also had Yuca Frita with special peruvian sauce. we recomend this restaurant if you really want to try Peruvian flavors...

This is truly a hidden gem of a Peruvian restaurant. Everything was tasty and made fresh. Plenty of parking and pleasant servers.

Chaufa de Carne

Nice location but not my place to go for Peruvian food. Dishes were not bad in taste but there are better places you can go. Chaufa plates and ceviche were good, the lomo saltado was not up to par. The menu is extremely limited, not sure if it's because of covid but wish to see more dining options. Wish the appetizer was better served in appearance but portion was good considering its an appetizer.

Clean and neat deco

Hubby came here once and liked the ceviche he had, so we were back. I had Tallarin Saltado De Mariscos. It's mixed seafood sauteed in a wok with onions, tomatoes, chopped cilantro and spaghetti in a reduction of soy sauce and white wine. The mixed seafood had 4 middle size of shrimps, many small piece of squids, I asked to swap out mussel with shrimp or squid. The flavor was too salty to me, too much soy sauce. Hubby liked his dish, Pasta Macho Con Camarones. It's shrimps and spaghetti in a Peruvian creamy sauce made with roasted peppers, aji amarillo and parmesan cheese. I tried a bite, tasted good. It's very creamy, I don't like creamy food, so one bite was okay to me. Lots more shrimps than my dish! Service was okay. They have outdoor seating area in the end of the restaurant, has a bar as well. Liked the clean and neat deco. They used paper made straw, good! We don't speak Spanish. Besides the names of the dishes are in Spanish, the descriptions are in English, very thoughtful, so we knew what we order. Would come back to try other dishes.

There were some customers there, but the place still felt very empty and honestly a bit boring. It was very quiet. There was music playing, but we could hardly hear it. The TVs were on, but with no sound, which didn't help the atmosphere. We were seated in the booth area where the other guests were. They had a 2-for-1 drink special, and the waitress was friendly and helpful. She let us know we didn't have to order the same drinks for the deal, which was nice. I ordered a passion fruit margarita, but it didn't taste like passion fruit at all. More tart than sweet. I didn't love the flavor, but I will say the bartender was definitely not stingy with the liquor. My friend ordered a Bahama Mama and had no complaints. I'm not a big seafood person, but I do love wings, and that's where Crafty Crab won me over. I ordered the 10 piece sweet chili wings, all flats, for $10.99, which alone is enough to bring me back. The wings were hot, fresh, and flavorful. My friends also enjoyed their lemon pepper wings and drinks. We originally came because we heard they used to have karaoke on Thursdays, which would have been perfect for the size of the venue. When I asked the waitress about it, she said she didn't know why they stopped. That's unfortunate because this place has so much potential. It's a large venue with good wings and cheap drinks, they're really just missing a vibe. Even playing music through the speakers would make a huge difference. Overall, I'd return for the wings and drink specials, but I hope they bring some energy back to the space. Based on this experience l'd give it a 3.5

As odd as it is to go during the day and have brunch, I would say it is the move. You pull into a plaza where everything else is closed except for this business and say hi to the security guard stationed at the entrance of the place---at 11 AM---to walk into a lounge beautifully decorated with green walls, floral accents and a disco ball. It is clear that the majority of patrons come much later in the day, like after 9 PM, to get bottle service listening to a DJ or any other performer. This would explain why the air conditioning was cranked so high, to accommodate the bodies and electricity that would pack the place much later. Our server didn't crack a smile but immediately brought us water after we asked and rounded back twice to take our order. Like I said, going during the day when there are only about 5 other parties dining seems to be the move for prompt service and food preparation. The dishes came out super hot and fresh. The Creole Seafood Omelette ($26) was chock full of well seasoned shrimp and lobster and cheese, with a creamy roux on the side that was good to occasionally dip a bite into but wasn't necessary all the time. The potatoes that came on the side were just the right amount of crispy while leaving some heartiness to them. The Fried Chicken and Waffles ($26) included flavorful fried chicken with breading that didn't quit when you tore it or cut into it. The cool part of this dish is the choice you have of the waffle it comes with. The Cookies and Cream Waffles should be your go-to. They were topped with the chocolate cookie sandwich crumbles and a great homemade vanilla icing. For a Lauderhill establishment in an area where you really don't know of anything else happening, this place is worth a venture out for your brunch. I'd go back to try the other items and drinks!

The crab cakes were my favorite: light, crispy on the outside, packed with fresh crab, and free of heavy flour or doughy textures. Simple and straight-up delicious. The lobster bisque had a flavorful, well-seasoned broth, though it was a little light and I would have loved some chunks of lobster to add texture. Ordering is straightforward: select your sauce/seasoning, spice level, and seafood. I went for the Chef's Pick - Crabfam Classic Seafood Boil, which includes 1/2 pound each of snow crab, shrimp, and sausage, served with two sweet corn cobs and two tender potatoes. I chose the Mr. & Mrs. Crab seasoning, a blend of Cajun spice, lemon pepper, garlic butter, and plain garlic. Not only was he very apologetic, he seemed like he actually cared about making the situation right. After inquiring a bit more about the service that night he graciously invited me back for another meal. I understand mistakes happens so it's truly about how they're taken care of after the fact. In this case, it was handled well. I decided to come for brunch this time & overall, it was a really good meal. They weren't super busy but service was good. Our appetizers, drinks & meals all came out in a timely manner. For the most part, everything was right but one of the hash brown sides came out cold (it was quickly swapped for fresh ones). My chicken & waffles were delicious. I especially liked how freshly breaded/fried the chicken was. There was a misunderstanding when it came to ordering our drinks, however. I ordered one that should've came iced but got the other coffee beverage which is served warm. When I brought it up to the waiter he was adamant that it's what I ordered & how it's served. After I questioned it once more, he stuck to that, so I kept the drink. Thankfully, it tasted really good & was poured well but it wasn't what I ordered. It was just a bit off putting that he said it was. He said he'd take the drinks off but this was after we went back & forth about it. This isn't a make or break situation for me but he was set in his ways. As a server, you need to be as adaptive as possible, even if you believe you're right. I'm super thankful to have been invited back because it was a nice meal, as I expected. I'm glad I can now tell people to try them out in good conscience. I was here at the Plantation location to attend this month's 4-course Martini Madness Dinner. The restaurant was packed for a Thursday evening. Servers greeted those in attendance, offering each person a glass of ice water and complimentary bread as we awaited the first course. Course one - Crab and avocado salad paired with Sparkling Cucumber Martini. The salad was a creamy mixture of avocado, lump crab, mango, and diced bell peppers on a bed of fresh spinach. Crispy tortilla chips was added for crunch. The martini was nice and light with a sparkling crisp taste. Course two - Scallop and shrimp scampi pasta paired with Lychee Martini. This was a very good dish. Nicely cooked shrimp and scallops tossed with all dente linguine in a light butter white wine sauce. Thoroughly enjoyed the lychee martini which was sweet and absolutely delicious. Course three - Mediterranean salmon paired with Island Breeze Martini. This was a filling dish. The salmon was nicely grilled and topped with sautéed spinach, feta cheese, diced tomatoes, and pickled onions; served with Jasmine rice and grilled asparagus. The martini was well-balanced with the vodka and various fruit juices (mango, passion fruit, and pineapple) without being overly sweet. Course four - Mixed berry mousse cake paired with Strawberry Rose Sidecar Martini. Moist, decadent cake layered with berry puree and coconut anglaise. In my opinion, the martini was too strong for a light dessert. It would have been best paired with a surf & turf dish. The whole event was well put together by the pleasant staff who made sure each transition between the courses ran smoothly and the removal of the empty dishes and glasses, as well as refilling the water glass was done in a timely manner. I look forward to attending another event soon.
