After not eating anything the whole day, I stopped by this food truck in order to get a quick empanada, which turned out to be A HUGE MISTAKE. IT'S FOOD TRUCK FOOD! FOOD THAT SITS IN THE TRUCK THAT STARTS TO DEVELOP BACTERIA. Their empanada was the only thing that I ate, and I developed stomach pains and ache, which also made me lose appetite for the 2 days! The next morning, I was still feeling the effects of this Mexican food. The bowel movement and the vomiting. How could 1 empanadas do this to me? I don't understand. What was in their ingredients for it to cause food poisoning. Their ingredients must not be fresh. I love Mexican food. I eat Mexican food from a restaurant all the time. We had reservations in two hours for dinner but we needed a quick lunch because we were both starving. The taco was $3-- tortillas are doubled and composed of pico de gallo, guacamole a small container of hot sauce cheese and lettuce. The guys are super friendly. This is a gem is all I have to say. I usually do not like to eat from trucks but these people put there foot in there food and it is amazing. Most people go for there empanadas and they are very good. They have a nice selection of different types of empanadas. Now in my case no one makes them like my aunt Maria so that's said I started ordering there chorizo burrito and I went into a full on foodgasm. The rice is cooked to perfection and the chorizo has just the right amount of fat to meat ratio. They don't drown the burritos inside with sauce so you can actually taste everything inside. I'm not a huge bean guy so I always order it without beans but I will say there beans do look good as my co workers order rice and beans. From what I am told there fish tacos are excellent as well. Their empanadas are very tasty and worth the price but a recent bad experience has left me wary of their quality control. I usually order fish empanadas but decided to order a few beef empanadas the other day as I rarely get them and regret it. 3 to 4 hours after eating them and eating nothing else, I began having severe nausea and couldn't even keep water down (this lasted for 2 whole days and left me really weak). Now, I don't know what happened, maybe the beef went bad and they just didn't realize but I am personally staying away from the beef one from now on. read more
