If you want the world's tasteless chicken ever come down to this nasty A$$ truck back in the day this place was golden but definitely fell off due to the fact they been there so long so they really don't care *& i should have went with my gut feeling when he showed me my salad *& the chicken looked freaking white af! Worst part they have the nerve to raise the price to 8 dollars now I'm home trying to season this tasteless shhh *& its still nasty never again !

It mustard been love. But it's over now.

If you say goodbye, I say halal. Halal, halal. I don't know why you say goodbye, I say Halal. I grew up on Sammy's, so everything else is a step down. Okay, no, I didn't grow up on it at all, but I may as well have, since I eat it seventeen times every time I'm in New York. I also love Zaiqa near Flushing. Compared to those, this is not the place for me. But even compared to the behemoths like Halal Guys, it still falls short. The combo at HP was just okay, not the best ever. Service was okay, but there was no drink with combo. I didn't really eat too much of it but the chicken was better than the bland Gyro. Still, I'd rather eat mediocre halal food than a good version of most other dishes. And they have buy one get one free on dice right now, so you can get a "paradise" for the price of 1.

    Combo Platter $6

Tuesdays are considered date night for my husband and me. We are by no means well off, so date night usually involves eating in and watching TV or a rented movie. Tonight, after looking for winter boots at the Atlantic Terminal Mall, we were getting really hungry. We ventured outside and started walking towards all of the restaurants on Atlantic. Instead of stopping into a sit down place, this huge truck caught my eye. For a mere $12, my husband and I enjoyed the lamb on rice platter and the combo plate off of this truck that isn't actually located at 450 Union St even though that's the address printed on the side of the truck. It's actually a huge, green truck parked in front of Attar Monir on 4th Ave near Atlantic Ave. You can get to this place just by coming out of the Atlantic Terminal. OH MY GOODNESS! The meat was perfectly spiced, grilled, and juicy. The yellow rice was fragrant and fresh, not dried out like some other carts. The cucumber, tomato, onion, green peppers, and lettuce for the salad were crisp and fresh. The yogurt dill sauce aka white sauce and the hot sauce were so flavorful and complimented the meat, rice, and veg so well. A $6 dinner fit for a king. The man making the food was very kind. The amount of food he fit into the foam trays was eye-popping. See photo. I urge you to stop by.

What a bargain for $6-7 range at this food truck. The combination plate came with chicken and lamb gyro, rice, salad and a tangy white sauce and spicy red harissa sauce. The flavor was incredible! It was very filling and a total bargain for how much food you get. Service was quick and friendly.

Combo plate ;) chicken & lamb, yummmm.

I love halal. Probably the one thing I was more excited for about coming back to NY! This truck is near my friends place so we came here twice during our trip. SOOO good. So so good. Be careful on the red sauce though, it's hella spicy! Not as spicy as halal guys red sauce, but its still spicy! Haha. After trying both this and halal guys, I think I'd have to say I like this one better. Until next time NY, I will be dreaming about halal plates until then!!!

Super fresh ingredients. $5 for an excellent chicken gyro and $6 for the chicken platter. Best of all for me who loves spicy food is that their hot sauce is actually very hot! They give a ton of food for the money you pay and it's cooked very quickly. Location moved. It's a lime green cart on corner of Atlantic and 4th avenue, right in front of Dunkin donuts across the street from P.C. Richards.

Very constant halal truck food ! The guy is very nice and he really puts tender love and care into each box of food ! Very flavor full and caters to all eaters , veggan and meat ! You get a great size potion that really fulls you up ! Be prepared to wait about 5 mintues because he cooks the food as you order

This must be the best halal truck in all of New York. I definitely recommend get the combo over rice, with extra white sauce and hot sauce.

The star of the show were the sides though - the mac and cheese had a bit of spice to it and was slightly tomato based, and the mashed potato salad I LITERALLY wrote home about and told my mom and my aunt immediately, some of the best I've ever had. I arrived & joined the line at 12:05pm on a Sunday (5 mins after opening) and waited until 1:10pm before ordering. The line is deceiving since more than half of it was inside but I didn't realize how far it extends to the register where you actually order. There was around 40 people waiting when I got there...again, 5 minutes after opening. Anyway, I committed to the line and realize it's wildly inefficient. There's only 1-2 people taking orders and 2-4 different workers standing around or doing something occasionally. They really have to figure out how to reduce these inefficiencies, at least on weekends. Now for the food, it's definitely amazing for NYC standards but not quite as good as Texas, in my opinion. The Brisket had some tender & juicy bites which I loved but most of it was on the dry/lean side. I wish the worker asked us for our preference. The Pastrami Sandwich was a good try and only available on weekends. The meat is smoky and savory, and tangy from the brown deli mustard. I actually loved their Mac & Cheese! It was so creamy, cheesy, and satisfying. Even the Hometown Slaw was just right. Not too creamy, not too vinegary, and gave us a fresh bite to cut through all the savory meat. The worker was nice enough to give me some pickled onions which I absolutely love with my BBQ. I wish they had some more local beer options but the Stiegl Goldbrau Lager Pint was great to sip on as someone who likes light & refreshing beers. Despite the atrocious wait time, I'm really glad I got to try it!

The pizza was mediocre. For our entrees I had the shrimp avocado salad and my husband got the gosht burger. Our entrees were really tasty.
