I'm so happy I came across this food truck in Park Slope and it's now my go to chicken and rice spot. It's just $10 if you pay cash, which definitely feels like a bargain these days. They're also super generous with the portions with plenty of chicken and they even toss in a few fries on top, which is always a fun bonus. Best of all, it's seriously delicious. There are several sauce options to choose from as well. I tried the chipotle mayo this time, but I'm already planning to go back and try the rest.

People in my neighborhood have been raving about this new Halal truck parked on the busy corner of 9th St and 5th Ave. I was famished after the gym the other night and decided to give this place a try. I walked up to a small crowd swarmed around the cart. Always a good sign, if you ask me. I was specific about wanting very little white sauce, lots of salad and very little rice. Despite having a line to cater to, they followed every order note to the T. The chicken kabab that I got was flavorful and cooked well. Salad was fresh and the white sauce tasted good. This was a filling meal. I have to go back and try their smash burger or chopped cheese one of these days. Even though they are a halal cart they definitely live up to their name. It's not just halal, it's definitely up a notch!

The best halal food truck located in Park Slope. The service and food are great. Everything is fresh and super flavorful. I love how they are open until 4am. The chicken gyro, smash burger, cheesesteak and charcoal chicken kebab are delicious. All there sauces are really good. They are now delivering through Uber Eats and DoorDash.

Passed by this after a swim class and it was a cool trendy colored food truck. They served sandwiches and platters. I got a chicken platter and saw the menu had different types of sauces besides white and hot sauces. They got green and chipotle mayo sauce. I got the chicken platter with white sauce and chipotle mayo on the side. Surprisingly the platter included French fries because nowaday, chicken platters don't usually come with fries so that was cool. It was a lot of food too and I love the chicken and rice. Very fresh and the seasoning was just right with the white sauce! The yellow rice was cooked right. Not sticky and soft. Very individualized and with the right amount of oil made it very tasty and wanting me for more rice. Going to get it again when I'm around that area. Sucks that it is far away from my home. The platter cost me $10 and it came in a plastic bag that is branded with the name of the food truck, Up A Notch! So cool because usually food trucks got plain plastic bags.

Sky blue food truck with pretty good prices & food - spotted last week over in South Brooklyn, Park Slope. Chicken, lamb platters / sandwiches and salads to go. They tossed a few French fries on top of the chicken platter. The chicken reminded me of chicken tikka; the lamb souvlaki was the same as before. Came with a small amount of salad and large amount of rice. Need to request extra sauce next time.

None of the Americanized Mexican Trucks and Restaurants have that specific cut of meat and frankly, it's my favorite by far so when I saw it on the menu in this truck as I was passing by, I had to give it a shot. It's honestly really easy to tell whether or not the tongue is done well because it's either tender and delicious with a slight bounce, or it's excessively chewy and bland, and I'm glad to say that this is the former. Everything else is just baseline good quality, from the wrap to the rice and beans and all the fixings inside as well. While definitely not the biggest burrito I've ever had, it's a pretty good size overall so I can't really complain.

But anyway, it's now Morelos (one of my favorite spots from Sunset Park). My friend and I were turned away from late night pizza, so this was our consolation prize. Scratch that, this should've been the first place prize. Like so many taco places in NYC, they've leaned into making birria tacos. We asked if they were any good, and they were wishy-washy about it, so we didn't order them. Got some al pastor and cochinita pibil tacos instead. While we were waiting for them, the guy we spoke to actually gave us a sample of the birria. I know it was the end of the night, but super nice of him! Also... he was right. Don't get them. The al pastor and cochinita pibil ones, however, were pretty solid. Never had cochinita pibil before, but it might be my new favorite. Will definitely be back on another one of my drunken escapade nights!

It was still fairly busy inside, but it was mostly people grabbing to-go orders. After ordering I snagged a spot at the counter. There's extremely limited seating, so I wouldn't bank on eating at the restaurant when it's busy. Be prepared to take your food to go. I got the Nene's Deluxe, which comes with a taco, a mulita, and an empanada - all with Birria of course. It was all delicious. The mulita was at the bottom of the box and got completely soaked with Birria. It was extremely messy to eat. Get plenty of napkins. I also got a side of fries and nacho cheese, because it was a long week and I deserved it. They had a seasonal strawberry horchata as well. This was okay. I also think I might just not love horchata in general. This meal definitely hit the spot. The Birria and consommé were top notch. I would return in a heartbeat.

I tried something different than my usual and went with the Adobada Tacos (Pork Al Pastor). The meat itself was spicy and a little rough, which leads me to believe it was maybe old meat. Instead of cubed, the pineapple was shredded which offered a nice touch. Unfortunately the actual taco got soggy by the time I ate it so I just picked out the meats and pineapple. There is plenty of avocado green sauce placed on top, which moving forward, I will request to be on the side to prevent the taco from getting soggy. Overall I probably should just stick to what I know/like so I'm willing to give this location another shot!
