Burrito
Catina S.

Carne asada burrito was delicious all ingredients were fresh. I got double protein & extra steak. Couldn't finish it all, it was kinda packed with meat however it made me wonder what If I didn't get the extras how much meat is in the burrito on a regular ?

Since I work across the street at the biggie smalls park, I decide to give it a try. Also some workmates seemed to have liked the establishment, I ordered a chicken taco and a steak taco, very bland taste, no outstanding spice flavor or cheese toppings. I was not very pleased with my order, I will say the decor of the place is very inviting.

$3 Taco Tuesday Special

I love the food here I'm so happy I finally found a restaurant close to work that's actually good. I got the roast pork burrito bowl and it was amazing. Yellow rice, black beans, cheese, guac, lettuce, tomatoes and onions yum yum yum. Everything was fresh, the pork is well seasoned and tender. I enjoyed every bite. The tacos were also amazing I got steak, chipotle chicken and grilled chicken all great, best tacos I've ever had and Tuesdays they have them for 3 bucks highly recommend. The service is also great here my delivery guy was so pleasant and friendly always has a smile he's the best. I'll be ordering here again.

$2.50 Taco Tuesday Special - from left to right: potatoes and peppers, beans and cheese, fish, mushrooms and spinach
Jonah W.

Ordered takeout for Taco Tuesday - prices have gone up slightly to $2.50 for any taco excluding fish. Margs are $7 on Tuesday as well. Overall, I was a fan. Some of the vegetarian tacos were definitely more filling than others (beans and cheese felt like the best value) but everything was tasty. My biggest complaint was that the fish taco didn't have very much fish in it. Potatoes and peppers: Really flavorful potatoes with a good green salsa on top - 4/5 Beans and cheese: Obviously a basic combo but the beans were flavored really nicely and the tortillas were filled pretty full - 5/5 Fish of the day: Fish and chipotle crema were good, I just wish there had been more fish - 4/5 Mushrooms and spinach: Too heavy on bell peppers, not enough mushrooms imo. Plus I don't think mine had any spinach - 3/5

Birria Tacos (x3) with Stew

My girlfriend was in a need of some girl chat so we decided on a lunch and Taco Tuesday so why not! Bushwick Taco had $2 tacos except for the shrimp and fish of course the Birria. But we didn't care we ordered fish, shrimp, chicken, carnitas and an order of Birria "Greedy lol" All were seasoned well and freshly made the salsa Verde was mild with cilantro and onions on top definitely hit the spot. Now the Birria Tacos were perfectly seasoned as well with the queso melted and oozing out of them. Perfect for dipping in the consommé which also had cilantro and very flavorful and warm. We both ordered a mango margarita which had a special price on Tuesday also of $6 not bad at all and strong af packed a nice tequila punch for sure. We will definitely come back for sure maybe at night to catch a vibe and more margs

I stopped into Bushwick Taco which was a great decision for a tasty meal. I ordered at the counter and had a seat. The restaurant had lots of seating. Drink options were available as well. I went with the seafood burrito. Cold water was brought to my table with two choices of salsa. The burrito was hot, well seasoned and tasty. The burrito was filling and I enjoyed it. I would definitely visit again if in the area.

The food at Bushwick taco was above average Mexican. We were seated quite quickly in the restaurant and the food came out pretty quickly. The restaurant had a comfortable feel to it. Would go again if in the area

Food was a 9/10. Tasty and we cleaned our plates. Ambience 2/10. We had to ask for the fans to be turned on when it was super hot outside. Byt even more importantly, the TVs had adult content being shown. The movie playing had people being murdered in meat grinders for example. Someone must've noticed after my kids made me watch and out on a kids movie, but sitting with my child tonight, the movie caused psychological harm. Not ok. This place is for adults only. If you go with kids, check to the TV screens.

Three Tacos - the ones slathered in sauce are the fish taco and shrimp

I enjoyed the tacos here! I wanted to go on taco tuesdays but since they don't do shrimp or fish on taco Tuesday for the deal I went on another day since it didn't affect my schedule. The salsa is so good! It is so filled with flavor and I kept wanting more and more. That's probably the highlight of this experience! The fish taco was really really good and fresh and I really appreciate a good fish taco. Shrimp was good but definitely really saucey, which I typically don't like so I wish there was less but that's fine. I had the Al pastor which was lacking in flavor / pineapple and the meat was really hard so I guess they overlooked that one. Bummer because I love Al pastor tacos but there are so many great ones elsewhere. Everyone in my party seemed to enjoy their food. Since I dined in, I realize the place is not that clean and not well kept and it is mostly a order at the counter situation. The door kept opening which let cold air in which bothered us a little but it's not a big deal. I would definitely order here again if I lived nearby to enjoy it inside while watching Netflix or something! But definitely this place is not really my vibe.

2 carne asada and 1 zucchini, corn, and tomato tacos for Taco Tuesday! ($2 each)

Nenes Taqueria - Birria pizza

It was still fairly busy inside, but it was mostly people grabbing to-go orders. After ordering I snagged a spot at the counter. There's extremely limited seating, so I wouldn't bank on eating at the restaurant when it's busy. Be prepared to take your food to go. I got the Nene's Deluxe, which comes with a taco, a mulita, and an empanada - all with Birria of course. It was all delicious. The mulita was at the bottom of the box and got completely soaked with Birria. It was extremely messy to eat. Get plenty of napkins. I also got a side of fries and nacho cheese, because it was a long week and I deserved it. They had a seasonal strawberry horchata as well. This was okay. I also think I might just not love horchata in general. This meal definitely hit the spot. The Birria and consommé were top notch. I would return in a heartbeat.

I tried something different than my usual and went with the Adobada Tacos (Pork Al Pastor). The meat itself was spicy and a little rough, which leads me to believe it was maybe old meat. Instead of cubed, the pineapple was shredded which offered a nice touch. Unfortunately the actual taco got soggy by the time I ate it so I just picked out the meats and pineapple. There is plenty of avocado green sauce placed on top, which moving forward, I will request to be on the side to prevent the taco from getting soggy. Overall I probably should just stick to what I know/like so I'm willing to give this location another shot!

Our reservation was for 8:30pm, but we arrived early and Alejandra, the hostess, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Even though she was ready to seat us, we decided to hang at the bar until the rest of our party arrived and that was the perfect move. Alkarys behind the bar was top-tier. She recommended the Siempre Reposado, and let me tell you... smooth, clean, dangerously good. If you're into tequila, that's a must. Now let's talk about the food. We ordered the quesadilla, rajas, tamales, tacos, and the queso fundido and every single dish hit. The queso fundido came out bubbling, rich, perfectly melted with that pull you want when you scoop it up. The tamales were moist and packed with flavor, wrapped beautifully and clearly made with care. The rajas had that perfect balance of roasted pepper sweetness and savory depth. The tacos? Authentic, well-seasoned, and layered with flavor, no shortcuts. Even the quesadilla stood out, crispy on the outside with that perfectly melted interior. Everything felt traditional, elevated but still true to its roots. You can taste the authenticity. Service was attentive without being overbearing, the ambiance was super casual and laid back, the kind of Brooklyn spot you pull up to for a real dinner experience, not just a quick bite. Highly recommend this place if you're out and about in Brooklyn. Definitely coming back for the tequila, the queso fundido, and round two of those tacos. I'm gonna try eating at the bar to check out the spot in the front of the house.
