I heard good things about this place and it's taco Tuesday so I had to try it. I got the pastor, carnitas and tinga de pollo taco. The pastor was a bit chewy and I would have liked actual pineapple in it but it still seemed to have the pineapple flavor. It was good regardless. The tinga was my favorite. Nice and flavorful. I'm not sure how this place has such a great rating on yelp. I agree with whoever said that Chipotle has better quality meats. The inside is cute and the service was ok, they're definitely understaffed. The food quality was just slightly less than I was hoping, but the price is ok. I got three tacos, and the carnitas one was overly fatty and barely had meat. The chipotle chicken felt like a sauce had just been thrown on it that didn't match very well. I love the food here I'm so happy I finally found a restaurant close to work that's actually good. I got the roast pork burrito bowl and it was amazing. Yellow rice, black beans, cheese, guac, lettuce, tomatoes and onions yum yum yum. Everything was fresh, the pork is well seasoned and tender. I enjoyed every bite. The tacos were also amazing I got steak, chipotle chicken and grilled chicken all great, best tacos I've ever had and Tuesdays they have them for 3 bucks highly recommend. Just walked out after not being greeted and having to seat ourselves. Followed by having to ask for menus after sitting for 10 minutes and getting no attention. I was then informed that I would have to walk up to the counter and wait in line to order my food, once handed menus. With all that being said, still decided what the heck. I then wait on line to order for 20 minutes. Just to be told I would have to wait another 40 MINUTES for a frozen margarita. After watching a party at a table be served a round of frozen margaritas from an entire different machine. Keep in mind the restaurant closes at 10 PM. Customer service is garbage. Understaffed. And the air conditioning system does not work. So not only is the service slow and poor, but it's scorching hot. Wasted 30 minutes of my life I can't back. Won't be returning. Ordered takeout for Taco Tuesday - prices have gone up slightly to $2.50 for any taco excluding fish. Margs are $7 on Tuesday as well. Overall, I was a fan. Some of the vegetarian tacos were definitely more filling than others (beans and cheese felt like the best value) but everything was tasty. My biggest complaint was that the fish taco didn't have very much fish in it. Im from California and lived in Texas , so I know good tacos lol The Birria Tacos and drinks are reasonable . The customer service from both locations has been fair . No complaints. My girlfriend was in a need of some girl chat so we decided on a lunch and Taco Tuesday so why not! Bushwick Taco had $2 tacos except for the shrimp and fish of course the Birria. But we didn't care we ordered fish, shrimp, chicken, carnitas and an order of Birria "Greedy lol" All were seasoned well and freshly made the salsa Verde was mild with cilantro and onions on top definitely hit the spot. Now the Birria Tacos were perfectly seasoned as well with the queso melted and oozing out of them. Perfect for dipping in the consommé which also had cilantro and very flavorful and warm. We both ordered a mango margarita which had a special price on Tuesday also of $6 not bad at all and strong af packed a nice tequila punch for sure. I enjoyed the tacos here! I wanted to go on taco tuesdays but since they don't do shrimp or fish on taco Tuesday for the deal I went on another day since it didn't affect my schedule. The salsa is so good! It is so filled with flavor and I kept wanting more and more. That's probably the highlight of this experience! The fish taco was really really good and fresh and I really appreciate a good fish taco. Shrimp was good but definitely really saucey, which I typically don't like so I wish there was less but that's fine. I had the Al pastor which was lacking in flavor / pineapple and the meat was really hard so I guess they overlooked that one. Bummer because I love Al pastor tacos but there are so many great ones elsewhere. Everyone in my party seemed to enjoy their food. Since I dined in, I realize the place is not that clean and not well kept and it is mostly a order at the counter situation. Solid spot for a casual bite with friends! 3 friends and I came in for a Taco Tuesday, ft BTC's $2 tacos. The menu is pretty comprehensive, scoping tacos, tortas, tostados, quesadillas, burritos, burrito bowls, and salads with a few starters and sides (important PSA: no queso dip here). After choosing your base, you can choose from 10-12 protein options ranging from vegan veggies mix to your standard carnitas, asada, etc options! Love the amount of vegan and vegetarian options here. They also have a few deserts and drinks options (second PSA: their drinks are STRONG, as reported by my friends). I ordered the carne asada and veggie tacos and they were quite good but particularly large-- enough to make two tacos from each of the beef one. The carne asada was plentiful, well-marinated, and well-cooked and the green salsa it came with hit the spot. Pro tip: get a side of their Chipotle aioli and salsa roja for your tacos. Not the best-ever tacos I've had but for $2 a pop for taco Tuesday, I'd 1000% come back Definitely a casual vibe which I also love about the place. The server ended up coming to our table to take our order which was very nice but I think it's usual to order at the counter. I'm sure I would have liked this experience more if I had done carry out, but this is a delivery review - 3/5 for delivery - I paid extra for sour cream and it didn't arrive. I saw another review mention that this happens to them - you pay extra for the 'extras' and then they're not included. This was disappointing. What's a quesadilla without sour cream? The driver was very kind, but did not respect contactless delivery, and the delivery took about an hour (when it said it should take 30-40 minutes). I'm fine with a longer wait, I would just prefer to know on the front end. 4/5 for food - The quesadilla was pretty good, and since the food arrived room temp it was easy to heat up in the oven. The sauce inside the quesadilla was tasty (but again, missed my sour cream sad). The fish taco was hearty, and the carne asada taco was filling as well. The green sauce on the carne asada taco was flavorful, but neither taco was especially memorable. I will say that they were both large and you only would need 2-3 tacos to be filled. Might have been better if they were hot! I'm hoping to try this place out again since there were pretty good reviews! It might be best if they work on their delivery, especially during COVID. I ended up rounding my 3.5 star review up because the food was a good price for a good amount of food, and most of my frustrations came with the delivery process (and the missing parts of the order). Not too shabby for NYC - a city that tends to milk every penny out of you. But wait! it gets better. These are not your dinky two-bite tacos. These tacos are very robust, being stuffed generously with your choice of protein and topped with a cilantro slaw and their house salsa / sauce (be sure to ask for their hot salsa/sauce on the side, which pairs nicely with everything on their menu). After 3-4 tacos, you will easily be full. I ordered the Tinga, Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and Pescado - along with a SHRIMP quesadilla. My personal favorites were the al pastor and the carne asada - both with guacamole added on top! This neighborhood taco joint has an assortment of taco options for the standard price of what a taco cost these days. They even off $2 tacos on Tuesdays . Anyway back to my rant Food was bomb . I hate when I go to other taco places and they say they have vegetarian tacos but it's only one taco with onions and peppers or a fuxkin cactus taco (no disrespect) But be a bit more creative. I had a horrible experience at this restaurant this evening. I order from this restaurant faithfully once or twice EVERY week. I didn't receive the full order of churros - there was no chocolate and considering that they cost over $8.00, I though it was worth calling them to ask about it sit is part of the order, NOT a side condiment. The woman on the phone told me that they don't charge for the chocolate sauce....which is asinine considering the cost of the order includes all ingredients. I told her that is an incomplete order. AND THEN SHE HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME!!!!!!!!!!! AND THEN WHEN I CALLED BACK, SHE WOULD NOT PICK UP THE PHONE. Considering the amount of money we spend there, I was incensed. So I went around to the restaurant to ask her about what happened. She lied and said that something was wrong with the phones. So I asked why she wouldn't answer my calls when I called back....she again lied and said something was wrong with the phones. I left and came back in 1 minute because I realized that I didn't get the manager's contact info. When I asked for the contact info, ALL OF THE EMPLOYEES REFUSED TO GIVE ME THE MANAGER'S CONTACT INFO. I have NEVER been treated like this at a neighborhood restaurant, especially one that I order form often. I contacted Seamless to complain and they took care of it. But I really hope the manager/owner sees this because this was absolutely inept, rude and incompetent customer service. I WILL NEVER ORDER FORM THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN.
