We had a storage unit here for over eight or so years here! I loved the convenience, service, dock, and carts provided! Jose helped me close down our unit, and he was truly a delight. That same day I couldn't get the door to open when I was on the 6th floor and rang him from my cell and he came right up and helped me immediately and with a smile. DO NOT RENT HERE...if you can avoid it. they offer mailbox services which aren't great because the staff does not distribute the mail into the boxes in a timely fashion; therefore things that are time sensitive, you may end up seeing too late which shows how insensitive the staff is. i've received my mail almost a week late and sometimes when it comes to things like social services and social security etc, you want to be on time with any returning documents etc. sometimes the staff just leave the mail on their counter in the office knowing it should be distributed into the boxes immediately; but since it's not their mail they could disrespectfully care less. when you pay $15 the staff is supposed to hold all large packages and sometimes they don't even let you know your package has arrived. this place is expensive. don't be fooled. no great introductory promotions and high rates. sketchy clients. this place has very questionable clients from the old man who smells like urine to the trio who smoke marijuana and drink alcohol in the facility to the man who sleeps and snores loudly in his unit. these people bother you too; it's not like they just leave you alone. the wanna-be gangbanger asks me like 20 questions when i'm trying to focus on my unit and leave. the rental units are okay in terms of storage. they are what they are. basic, standard, mostly clean are how they look. they are not worth all that they charge. one can find a cheap all nite rental storage unit with a big name company that charges a reasonable rate with a promotion. public storage or maybe even extra space storage for cheap late nite fast service. there are a few hoarders in the facility so beware because with hoarding come mice and roaches. i found wet mice poop on my document folder one time and it was disgusting. read more

I really wish I could give this place zero stars. I was a tenant for 13 years. Over the years I received periodic rent increases, usually around $10/month every couple of years. Three weeks ago, I received a letter stating that my rent was going up from $149/month to $269/month. Yes, an 80% increase in one month. Apparently all tenants received the same 80% rent increase and, from what I understand, most are planning on moving out (so watch out for traffic advisories for Central Avenue in Glendale next weekend). Here's the thing: according to the manager, the owner believed he was charging "below market rents." I agree with him - the rents for comparable units are below average. But Central Storage is also a below average facility, by a lot. Let's start with the fact that there is ONE, count em, one parking space. The street parking is virtually non-existent (maybe not virtually; in my virtual world, there would be abundant parking). When you enter the facility you are confronted with an elevator that is, well, something out of a Cold War monster movie (if such a genre existed). When I first moved my stuff over to Central Storage, I thought the double closing manually operated doors of the warehouse elevator were cool. Very soon, it transformed into annoying and downright scary. As I wondered how many fingers/hands have been smashed/lost over the years in that elevator, my mind ruminated over the prospects of even gorier happenings in said elevator. But I digress and speculate. Actually, the real problem with the elevator is that it was often inoperable (and it's the only elevator in the building) and even when it was working, it was often on another floor and, when called, could not be accessed unless the doors are closed by the last person to use it. On the bright side, Central Storage was clean, but there's nothing else sunny about this story. Good luck to the owner - wait! who am I kidding. I wish him nothing but terrible luck, whether it's in attracting new storage tenants or, as I suspect, getting rid of all of us so that he can turn it into overpriced apartments. If you're thinking about moving your furniture, books, toys, whatever to Central Storage, please consider my experience and ask yourself if this is a good situation. It's not. read more

Ronny and the staff at Central Storage are amazing. My experience at Central started a year ago when I had to store a bunch of my possessions when I separated from my husband. Ronny showed me a several lockers in the size I requested but none of them were quite right- he kept looking and found a locker the perfect size and gave me a great rate. Central gives you the first three months at 50% off so that saved me a little $$. Then at the beginning of this year I needed a second locker to tide me over after I sold my house- again Ronny worked with me until he found me a locker that suited me needs and as with my first locker, gave me a great price. If you want a storage locker that is open at two in the morning, this isn't the place for you, but if you want great personal service and like supporting local businesses, this is the perfect place to store your things. read more

I had a great experience with this storage due to it's stuff. First time I called to get info and see if there was an available locker, Ronny answered to all my questions patiently. Then one of the stuff members accepted and registered us staying about 2 hours late after work hours. They are very nice and go out of their way to please their customers. After checking out yelp, I found this place in a super convenient area. The actual facility is neat, from the 20s and the guy made me a deal in a matter of minutes for the same day. Central Storage is a great facility! Ronnie is always so kind, and helpful and if I'm ever late on a payment, Ronnie will personally call me himself to remind me and I'm never charged a late fee! He gets that sometimes life happens and it's easy to forget and loose track of time. The price is very affordable and you can pay either over the phone ( with no added extra charge) or in person. I've never tried paying online so I'm not sure how that works but it's never been an issue. I'm now about to rent a second unit here with my friend. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. read more

I love Central Storage. I've been coming here for years... since 2012. It's a really awesome building, with great management. Ronnie is there during the week & is so kind & helpful. I started with a larger unit on the 8th floor, then two smaller units on the 2nd floor after moving a few times. They have always been very accommodating in trying to help find the right sized unit for my needs. I no longer have a need for a unit, but I still have my mailbox here. It has been really convenient, as I get packages sent here & don't have to worry about them getting stolen from my outside my place (which has happened several times in the past). This has got to be one of the best storage places in LA... Great location if you're in Glendale or even Eagle Rock. Right off the 5... close to the Americana. Pricing is very reasonable. read more

I have been now little over 6 months with this storage and must admit that I'm absolutely happy with it, specially with the stuff. Ronny from the office is a super guy who is always ready to go out of his way to help as much ass possible if not more than that. Has a great common sense and understands one's situation...A BIG THANK YOU RONNY. I got a 5 x 10 unit for $70 a month (second month free), which was cheaper than most of the places I found online. The unit is clean and the front desk guy is nice, too. They don't get 5 stars only because the place gives me the heebie jeebies, seriously I get spooked there! The elevator is one of those old school NYC elevators and if you use the stairs it is like a scary maze! But very reasonable prices ;) read more

I love it here. Nice loading dock area and no one hogs it for too long. Staff is great, very friendly and helpful. Not knowing exactly the size I needed, They held 2 units for me for a week while I got my things in order. I've been a customer of Central Storage for about three years, very happy with them. Very reasonably priced rentals and safe facility. Their staff is very helpful and friendly. The only downside is the elevator doors are very heavy and can be difficult to open, and you have to take everything up to your floor, but I'll happily take a little extra work in exchange for the inexpensive rent and a very convenient location in Glendale. I have used central storage 3 times now. First thing I liked is they offer deals when your first rent and the price is fixed. Not like the other places where they offer you one price and than it goes up after the first year. I may not use them for long periods of time. I call up and the price quoted was $89 per month but then the salesman asked how that price sounded which meant "let's haggle" & we did a quick round of haggling. Hey movers: a little about Central Storage- its a wonderful safe place to store your valuable belongings. This is my second storage rental at Central Storage. Why I came back, because the first time was a pleasant experience. The staff is wonderful and the prices you cannot beat! In addition, if you've experienced a move before, you know it gets hot in the hallways, this place isn't like that. The hallways stay cool so while your moving the heat doesn't agitate you. If I could give the Central Storage place more stars I really would. I'm not surprised to see so many positive comments about Ronnie as he has been nothing short of amazing to me from the first time I contacted them about using a locker through today when I had to move stuff back into storage. CA overall hasn't been very sunny for me these past four years which is why I'm heading back East again. But, without doubt, the staff at Central Storage have been phenomenal and one of the true bright spots in my time out here. As someone else mentioned, unit access is readily available during reasonable hours every day of the week. But I never had any reason to need access outside of their regular business hours and, frankly, felt safer knowing that there was always someone staffing the place the times I did need to get in and out of the building. There are two loading docks so it is easy to either take your own smaller vehicle into the "driveway" dock or, if you have a larger moving truck, there is a loading door to a bay right beside the elevator. For storage in an urban area, I just don't think you could find anyplace better than Central Storage!!! :-) read more
