Later you discover they tapped into the electric system of your car in the worst way while installing that brake controller, causing it to blow a critical fuse and loose control of you car's functions while on the interstate. He checked the car, smiled, and said everything was fine. I even asked to confirm, and he said yes. Then the next day, I see a $60 charge on my credit card. I called and spoke with Laura, who was rude and not helpful at all. On top of that, the car itself wasn't in great shape. scratches, dings, and not very clean. I've had better experiences with Budget/Avis, but I'll definitely be using a different location next time. This whole situation felt pretty shady. Not the friendliest staff either.

I called this U-Haul location multiple times to get a quote for a hitch installation, and every…read moresingle time I was immediately put on hold for 10-15+ minutes without anyone ever checking back in. I completely understand that businesses get busy, but it's incredibly frustrating to answer the phone, say "please hold," and then leave someone waiting indefinitely without even asking what they need or checking in after several minutes. It's poor customer service and comes across as disrespectful of people's time. After it happened multiple times, it honestly started to feel like callers were being put on hold just to avoid having to help them. Whether that's actually the case or not, that's certainly the impression it leaves. If you're too busy to take calls, at least let customers know or offer to call them back instead of leaving people on hold until they eventually give up and hang up.

I've used this location in the past and I was very pleased, but this time it was much different…read more Here are the issues I had with my last rental. I rented a 12 foot trailer with a ramp. 1. The biggest issue was the tail light. On the way to my destination, I was told that one of my tail lights was out. Sure enough, it was out. At first, I thought it might be the connector on the hitch, so I pulled it out and plugged it back in. No difference! Then I thought about it for a minute - if one light works, then there is power to the trailer. So it's either a wiring problem or a light problem. 2. The trailer looked pretty beat up. I think they should've pulled it from their fleet and either fixed it or removed it from service. 3. The trailer has a ramp. A prior renter must've placed something very heavy on the ramp. The metal was bent and it was difficult loading and unloading. Also, the latch on the ramp was hard to put the pin into, which tells me the ramp is bent. 4. When I rented the trailer, I was told that this location has a late drop off. Nobody mentioned an extra charge to drop it off at night. I was charged $20 to drop it late. I don't understand why they wouldn't tell me when I rented it. The last time I rented from them, there was no late drop off charge. And yes, they still charged me for a full day on top of it. 5. I was planning on backing the trailer up the driveway. To do this, I had to release the trailer brake, which is a mechanical lever that pulls up. I couldn't release the lever and I didn't want to have something break, so I had to unload at the bottom of the driveway and move the items up a long steep driveway. It felt like a lot of extra time and effort that shouldn't have been necessary. Overall, I am very disappointed with the quality of the trailer, the extra time and effort to move things up the driveway, the difficulty with a bent ramp, the waste of an evening, because I couldn't drive with a tail light out and finally the extra expense that was not charged with my last rental and not being told that their policy had changed. Very disappointed with this location.

The great thing about this location is there are never more than two people in line in front of you and most of the time nobody is in line which makes it easy in and out access with your equipment. The staff has always been friendly, no matter who works here and they have plenty of parking for your car. This is the location that I hope many more people do not find out about lol, because then it would make my location that I go to crowded.

Rented a 26 ft diesel truck from Penske and had a terrible experience…read more I specifically told them I had never driven a diesel truck and asked for full instructions. They failed to mention something critical: the truck requires DEF (diesel exhaust fluid). When the DEF ran low, the truck lost power on the highway and eventually became undrivable. I contacted Penske multiple times during the issue -- no response. A roadside mechanic later told me I just needed DEF -- something that could have been avoided entirely if Penske had done their job. On top of that, the truck had multiple mechanical failures (lift gate and engine issues), causing major delays and extra costs. Then Penske sent me a bill blaming me for the DEF issue -- even charging $66 for fluid that costs about $25 in stores. Poor maintenance, poor communication, and zero accountability. Would not recommend.
