I rented a unit here for some short term storage needs, keeping my things here for two months. I was very pleased with the service!! The location is clean, easy to access, with lots of space to park. The units are all clean and dry and I never encountered any pests over my many visits to the location while I was storing my things here (and I have had issues at other storage facilities with insects or rodents). Every staff member I interacted with was really helpful and very quickly met my needs. This is the first Yelp review I've written in a very long time. This storage place is the absolute worst and should be shut down. It has prevented me from working and from sleeping. Let me explain... For some inexplicable reason, Saf Keep Storage chooses to blare a LOUD alarm, every time a customer inputs an incorrect code. This literally happens 60-80 times a day. We're talking every 10 minutes or so, all day, every day. A blaring alarm that disturbs the entire neighborhood. I hear this alarm in my nightmares at this point. I'm sure someone at Saf Keep Storage will reply to this review, saying something like "We're sorry for your experience, but this is a safety measure for our customers." Insane! Any alarm that goes off 60 times a day serves NO purpose. The point of an alarm is to signal an unusual event. If the alarm is happening all the time, it will get ignored. It is purely a nuisance. The company has ignored countless warnings and even police interventions to change their alarm policy. I'm sure nothing will come of this review at all -- it's mostly me just screaming into the void at the problem with corporate bureaucracy. I know that I'm powerless to stop this, and that knowledge is devastating. read more

It's the cleanest storage facility ever. It does cost more, and when moving in there is a free vehicle a van or truck you can use to move your stuff in. So in the first month you might save money by using the free move in van/truck from Saf Keep. The staff is helpful and the facility is super clean and feels safe. read more

I stored my stuff here for 4 years here and it has been a great experience. A friend dropped something off in my unit one time and didn't lock the door properly. Later that same day, Saf Keep contacted me to let me know that the door wasn't properly locked. That attention to detail is really awesome...especially when I was so far away and couldn't access anything myself. I always received billing notice and was able to do easy online payments. They minutely raised the rent each year...always with tons of notice. Still a WAY better price than any of the other places I researched. Beatriz is still there and super helpful. This is my second time renting from them, I'm very satisfied and will never use public storage again *I just read the negative reviews and you have got to be kidding me. People are surprised that their special move in rate expired after a few months? Are you serious? Be thankful you even had a discount in the beginning. Public storage is absolutely $75-100 more right up front and closes at 6pm! So Francisco saves the day. They just went on a new system and despite my calling twice to their 800 number to verify my reservation for today and was told someone would call me back, 45 minutes later, nothing. Since I paid movers and needed to be out of my old storage unit today, time was of the essence. I decided to go there in person and Francisco was thorough, apologetic for the non communication from earlier, despite his having no control over the matter, and was the consummate professional. I replied 'maybe' to whether or not I would recommend the company because in this day and age with technology, they should have that fixed on the front end so the boots on the ground folks don't have to muddle through a clunky interface on the tech side. read more

BEWARE!! Someone BROKE into my Storage and after 24 hours I had to find out myself. My unit is equipped with Alarm system after speaking with Beatriz she mentioned someone had tampered with the alarm system the day of the incident. I cannot believe they don't pay attention to such important part of their business to keep our Storage safe. They have stolen thousands of dollars worth of valuables from my storage. Management has done nothing to help with the situation I will be seeking legal help. 100% don't recommend this place please stay away from this place they don't have control over the security of your property. read more

Dear management, please do not respond with some condescending message about how you're so sorry I was not made aware of how horrible your customer care would be when I signed my rental agreement. DO NOT RENT HERE. The good reviews are probably from friends of the owner or they're from people who, like us, started off with a good experience which quickly went downhill as we realized this facility is just as dishonest and poorly managed as any of the others. My advice to you is: don't use storage facilities at all, ever. They are all greedy and deceptive and they could not care less about their customers. The fine people at Saf Keep San Fernando told us they were going to auction off our belongings because our payments didn't go through and we got behind on the balance. You'd think the solution would be simple: pay the balance and stop the auction. Unfortunately they wouldn't allow it to be this simple. EVERY time I called to discuss, I was redirected to a call center where I was told they couldn't transfer us to the actual facility because no one is there to answer the phone. They refused to take my payment over the phone, stating I would have to come in person regardless of the fact that I have moved incredibly far from them since I started renting there. So they want our money but they won't accept it online or over the phone. I could pay this very second over the phone and everything would be fine, but they won't accept it. We made all kinds of arrangements to ensure we'd have the exact amount of CASH we were told we needed to pay by a specific date, but today I call and they say I have to pay an additional $167 for the next month and for insurance, even if I move my stuff out that same day. It's as if they want to make your life more difficult as long as it benefits them. Seriously, you guys are scum and karma will do its thing. I hope no one else makes the mistake of giving these people their money. read more

Helped my friend move out of her storage unit today and we were assisted by Juan. He was so helpful and so sweet. He told us the best place to park in relation to where our storage unit was and he showed us the quickest routes to the elevator. When he checked us out he was efficient and quick and I would definitely recommend working with Juan if you can. He has such a positive attitude and he seems to truly love what he does. I came in not knowing what to expect . I was going thru a hard time and I explain my situation to Judy and Beatrice and they were so kind and helpful. Francisco showed me the storage that I would be needing to put my stuff . He showed me around and saw that the facility was nice and clean,cameras thru out the facility . He even offer me to help me with my stuff for 30 min. "Carry in service ". They even have a Truck so I don't need to go to U-Haul . When we came back to the office Beatrice informed me of the total move in price . She was very professional. She introduced me to the whole staff Ken the manager and the Judy in the front office and the two closing guys Francisco and Juan. I felt like as I was walking in my moms house. Great clean storage units. Each unit has its own light. They offer free use of truck, lots of free amenities to make your move easier-- like carts galore, and even help from the staff (for 30 minutes). The front desk staff is most wonderful and professional. They really try to accommodate you through the process. Sure, it is a bit more expensive but you feel like your things are safe. read more

I found Saf Keep Storage while searching for storage facilities on the Better Business Bureau website. I discovered that many of the leading companies were very low rated. Not only was Saf Keep rated high, it was a BBB member. Dealing with any of the staff there is a pleasure. When inquiring about spaces, the representative was very clear in explaining rental terms and access procedures and gave us a tour of facilities. Arranging automatic billing is easy, and they are quick and courteous to call when there is any billing issue. The buildings are concrete floors, cinderblock walls and corrugated metal siding and ceilings. The grounds are clean. Elevators, spacious. I've never seen any vermin, but there are traps set in each of the spaces and there are moisture sensors throughout. There are dollies available to move your stuff from car to your space. Secure drive-on access to the facilities with a gate code. Only thing missing in my opinion is making the facilities climate controlled, however this is almost nit-picking, as I've never sweltered while working in my space, and I've never had property damaged due to moisture, humidity or extreme heat or cold. But overall, in terms of cleanliness, quality, security and customer service (and decent rates) this is the best storage choice I've found in the LA Metro area. read more

I highly recommend this Saf Keep Storage because their customer service is the best. Beatrice especially and everybody there are responsive and looks for ways to help, when a lot of people look for reasons to say no. She signed me up on the phone last year before I moved from Seattle and has been helpful ever since. The facility is clean and accessible. I had my stuff in storage for an entire year and the only thing that makes that cost tolerable is how kind everybody there is. The most appreciated for me was that I cleared my locker out last week and took my lock but I forgot to call to cancel my contract and realized at the last minute that I might incur another month's rent needlessly and I called and left a message but was angry at myself that I hadn't called sooner. Beatrice left a message the next day letting me know that they saw it was empty so had already canceled it, saving me $176. I don't know if that's their regular policy but It is much appreciated! ($176 is a pricey but competitive with other companies.) read more

After visiting almost every storage facility in the area, I was amazed by the difference at this one!! The place is so clean, the people are helpful, friendly, and always around. There are video cameras and call boxes everywhere that insure you are safe. They have a free move-in truck, dollies, hand trucks, blankets, straps... and the guys that work here even helped me get big stuff into my space. They are open, as I said, all the times I would want to get in to visit my old couch: 7a-9p everyday and the office is open 9-6 everyday in case you need some boxes or tape or something. All I can say is I am so glad I found this place, all the others in the area kind of creeped me out. read more

Forget negotiating with U-Haul, scheduling times, picking up and dropping off - this truck is FREE to use when you rent a storage space, and you just park it there when you're finished! Saf Keep listened to my needs and made sure they beat the competitor's offers. The property is super safe, with a key-entry gate and cameras everywhere. And they keep it spotless. Is it weird to say that I really love a storage place? Because I really, really do. Sometimes the reasons one needs to look for a storage unit aren't all that positive, but because of the wonderful facility and friendly staff I've been given incredible peace of mind during what is otherwise a tumultuous time. Well lit hallways, a strong light in each individual unit, big elevators, large roll-up doors that span the width of most units, clean facility, and polished concrete floors on each level already put Saf Keep above Public Storage and other nearby places. They have a large truck that is free for use to load in (but not out, and not free over a certain mileage). Even if you incur charges due to mileage the use of their truck will still much cheaper than renting a Uhaul! Their long hours, from 6:00 am to 8:45 pm, can accommodate most working schedules and make it wonderfully easy to pop in to grab something or drop something off to a unit. They have staff available to help you move in and they also have plenty of carts for multiple trips (if you don't see one out, just ask at the front desk). The staff is very friendly, knowledgable, and usually available for questions or help. They're definitely part of the reason I chose this space above others! read more

I get it: by not allowing scheduled payments on your website, you make a fortune in late fees. Easy peasy. A lot of people do their bill-paying in advance, but don't have the funds to pull the trigger until the first of the month. By not allowing that, their only option is to postpone a visit to your website the day of and that increases the chance of human error. You tacitly force your customers to thread the needle and that can only work in your favor. That's shitty customer service and ethically bankrupt. read more

Not too long ago I rented a space at Public Storage, but this time chose SafKeep because of it's convenient location. I was offered a good move-in deal, but didn't know what to expect from the facility. Francisco, who works in the office is super professional, helpful and friendly. He clearly cares about his job, his customers, and the place in general. My unit is well-lit, spacious (an L-shape makes it seem bigger) and close to an elevator. I was pleased to hear that upon entering my code at the front gate, an individual alarm for my unit is de-activated, and then activated again upon my departure. Unlike (my experience at) Public Storage, the elevators are quick and large. The dolly carts are abundant and accessible, and the whole place feels clean and well run. I can't imagine ever finding a better storage place. I won't even bother looking. read more

The facility is busiest during the summer months, but the staff helped me estimate my storage needs and even let me hold their last drive-up unit for an entire week until I was ready to sign up. Saf Keep Storage is clean, feels safe and is conveniently located off the freeway. They even have a great deal with a free truck rental, which came in handy! Good God. This is storage Heaven!!! Having been treated like a criminal at Public Storage (2 different facilities, constantly punching in your code, doors closing on you, elevators closing on you and no lighting, this place is remarkable. I don't have to get out of my car to punch in my code. I don't have to give blood for a moving cart. Open, airy, well lit. Lights in the units!!! The staff: Remarkable!!! Francisco helped me move in!!! They give 30 minutes of move in help!!! He was so concerned and seemed to genuinely care about my safety! The office staff is super nice and professional.
