Glendale a1 self storage used to be clean. Not any more! Hallways do NOT get swept up any longer - elevator does NOT get cleaned - trash left here and there does NOT get picked up. And that facility smells -- BAD! But their prices keep going UP. Moreover it is right next to a gravel/SAND depot. And that stuff comes through the vents... read more

As many others do, I go to Yelp to see what's out there and what the best options are. Other storage centers had some pretty bad reviews so I decided to go with A-1 even though there were other centers closer in distance to me. And much like the steak sauce of the same name, A-1 did not disappoint. The ease of signing up, the free lock from checking in on Yelp, the cleanliness of the facility, the helpfulness of the staff, the awesome old school music playing in the background, the list goes on and on. I had great experience from the previous A-1 storage I rented in Alhambra and was able to enjoy the personal service with my new rental. Unlike the big franchises - one gets personal service from the start - such as a live person answering a call with immediate/accurate info. Was able to get a tour and and found the property outside, the office, elevator and hallway and particularly the units we're immaculate. The code# required to enter parking also gave me confidence of safety. I received a discount for the first month and the process was easy because I was already in the system from my precious subscription. The manager is really horrible and rude. Tried her best to steal my mother in laws money by trying to tell her things that is Mandatory but actually optional. Luckily my mother in law called me up in time and I was able to put a stop to that stupid manager's effort to steal money. She is not even qualified to be a manager there. The other guy was nice and helpful compared to her. Obviously she is doing something somewhere to be in that position and some one needs to put a stop to this. read more

I recently rented a unit at A-1, their customer service was excellent, very kind people. I rented with them as apposed to Public Storage because there prices where better and provided better customer service. I went to Public Storage and they made stand outside in the heat for 15 minutes while finished with the customer that was in the lobby.
