I rented a unit and filled it pretty quick , came back with another truck load and he got me in right away with another unit ..very clean and well secured location for you to store your contents. The location is easily accessible, the property safe and clean. I did see police there to take a theft report at one point. The main reason I chose this facility was the extended hours access. Recently, they shortened the hours to limit access to 6pm. As a result, it no longer served my purposes so I moved out. That process was painless at least but I was very annoyed with the short notice given when they reduced the hours. The after hours was not staffed, so I fail to see why it was necessary to reduce the hours. read more

They were exceptionally professional and thorough with the entire process. Not only that, they had gone above and beyond for me on moving day. The movers and I were delayed due to unforeseen circumstances and were close to arriving after they close. I've shopped around and found A1 Storage to be one of the cheapest storage around Glendale. They're clean, have lots of cameras, and security is great. I've rented a storage from here for over a year and haven't had any issues. Kevin, the manager is very helpful and will give you a courtesy call to remind you of any leftover payments before you assess a late fee. If you get a storage on the second or third floor, the storage becomes cheaper. They have large elevators to make moving easy, so don't worry about having a storage on the first floor. Tip: If you have your own home insurance, you can waive their monthly insurance fee. read more

I just got done renting from A-1 Storage today. After 6 months I have finally been able to move everything out. James sold and closed the unit with me and he is by far one of the best employees at this place. If you need storage come and ask for James. He's a great dude who genuinely cares about those renting units here. I paid $160 per month for a medium unit. It's air conditioned and access hours are all the way till 10pm. This place raised my rates 3-4 times within the 2 years I rented a 10x10 module. When the time came to clear out, and we had some problems, nobody was very helpful there, although Maria was at least friendly and polite. I'm amending this review several months late because the district manager, Brian Darmas, made a fair effort to try to resolve some of the issues after the review was published on this site, and made sure I got my refund for time not used, which no one had offered us. It could have been far more satisfactory if this had happened to start with, but at least somebody at the place finally tried to do something to improve the situation and seemed sincere about it. read more

This is a very nice, inviting, clinically clean storage outfit, with easy access and long opening hours. The staff is smiley, helpful, patient and always ready to help. I've compared other local outfits, from the well-known to the lesser known and this one got my vote and my business. The rates are favorable but the cleanliness and security seem superior. Tiny detail worth noting: on two occasion no one was in the office to hold my driver's license so I could use one of their flat dollies. And one time was mid-day on a Saturday. read more

Super friendly, great customer service. Good rates. Move in was super easy. Building is clean. Had a bad experience with another company just trying to reserve a unit and being pressured to move in sooner than I needed. But with A1 after booking online, I could move in the date I wanted with no pressure or hassle with the discount rate and the unit was exactly as advertised. Alot of storage buildings I've seen are in sketchy parts of town, this A1 is the edge of Glendale in a nice, calm area. Definitely comfortable leaving my things here. read more

This by far is the best storage company that i have ever went to. They are so friendly and not about the money first as in all other storage companies. I dealt with Maria and James and they are awesome people. My story was there was a miscommunication on my account and they bent over backwards to help me and save me money too. I am in Florida now shooting my tv show but when i get back i will definately be looking up Maria from the A1 self storage in Glendale on San Fernando Road. If you are going to start renting a space the amount of money you can lose on this fee and that fee and all the other BS is mind blowing and what do you do since you already moved in. We found A-1 on Yelp, and after checking out 3 other places nearby, we chose it because it was by far the cleanest and nicest, though not the cheapest-priced about the same as one other and more than the other two. Maria, who is usually there, is professional, friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and very bright with auto sensor lights that light up as you enter hallways. Some of the other places required you to load/unload at loading areas requiring lifting etc and one place had units that weren't level with elevator that also required lifting up steps. A-1 on SAN Fernando Rd, Glendale is our first storage unit experience and I would recommend it wholeheartedly! read more
