Safe, Spotless, and Good service I've used a few different storage facilities over the years, but this experience has been far and away the best. Moving is stressful enough, but the team here made the storage part of my transition completely seamless. Here is why I'm giving them a full 5 stars: Incredibly Helpful Staff: From the moment I walked in, the front office team was professional and transparent. They took the time to show me a few different unit sizes to make sure I wasn't overpaying for space I didn't need, and they walked me through the entire security process. Immaculate Facility: This isn't your typical dusty, dark storage locker. The hallways are bright, the floors are clean, and the whole place feels very well-maintained. I feel completely comfortable leaving my furniture and electronics here. Top-Notch Security: I love the peace of mind that comes with their setup. Between the gated electronic access, individual unit alarms, and plenty of well-placed security cameras, I know my belongings are safe 24/7. Ease of Access: The loading bay is spacious, and they have plenty of heavy-duty flatbed carts available for free. It made moving my heavy appliances a breeze--I didn't have to break my back carrying things from the parking lot. Climate Control Done Right: I was worried about the humidity/temperature affecting my wooden furniture, but the climate control here is consistent and effective. This is my first time renting a storage unit and this experience was made great by the staff that helped me. I was greeted nicely by Robert and Maria at the front office and another staff Luciano showed me the unit. They are very nice and friendly and gave me good information to know about the storage. The place is so clean! I was expecting worse because of the surrounding area but honestly when you go to this storage place it is so clean and nice. The staff even had me do a Spin a Wheel and I got a free lock!! Also they have a promo right now that has free Van use and %50 off discount for the first 2 months!! Easy leasing and termination process. Clean facilities and good lighting. Office staff are helpful efficient and pleasant. And the bathrooms are cleaning. Good pricing for first few months in a central location with easy parking and plenty of carts (these could have better steering but they're about as good as supermarket cart steering lol). Been storing here for a long time, this year they send me a CC update form when my card expired which I filled out and emailed back to them. then they called me to tell me they did not have credit card information for me, I told them I emailed it back to their inquiry, after which they said they were trying to find it and finally hang up on me.. next thing I get a bill for late penalties and lien that can only be paid with cash.???? Like for real after 10 years? Sorry but im un-impressed. The facility is really nice. Over the years I've rented out a few storage units, but I think this facility has been the most impressive to me, especially for the price. Yes, the admin fee sucks, but the extremely low quote I received online was exactly what I paid for upon arrival. It seems to me other storage units are shadier when it comes to hidden fees, I have no complaints with Saf Keep. Great storage facility with many units indoors. Clean and secure; alarms on every unit in addition to the main security gate. Staff is also great. The manager, LeRoy, has been there for years and goes above and beyond to oversee the place. When we came in to rent, he was staying late when he didn't have to in order to ensure his new staff was properly trained. Even outside office hours, I was pleased to encounter a friendly attendant on the grounds who helped me with my cart. Reasonable prices compared to others in the area, and good rental specials. Plus a free moving truck (with refundable deposit) available to renters of their units. We look forward of taking advantage of it when we move. read more

Saf Keep's staff, named "Junior", is very rude. There is a very clear sign on the bathroom door indicating the bathroom is open from 9am to 6pm. It 5:45pm and I needed to use the restroom, the key was gone. I asked "Junior" politely for the key and he refused my entry stating it was closed even though it was not 6pm. I called another employee & discussed what happened & he told me to complain to the mgmt. Junior has no people skills. I decided to add this to the review so others that need to use the restroom before 6pm, have the rights to use it. It's false advertisement it if the sign says 6pm. read more

It's it's a little bit odd to give a large, generic, storage facility a five-star review, but within the context of storage places I think SafKeep on Melrose and Western deserves it. I've rented two different units from them over the last year and a half and I've never been disappointed. First of all it's safe. The whole place is heavily gated and you can't get in without a key code. There are always employees around and I've never had a problem with the lights not working. Don't get me wrong, storage places are all creepy, but this one isn't nearly as creepy as some of the ones I've been in. The staff is friendly and helpful. We recently downsized our storage unit and the people at the front desk were completely accommodating. The only problem I've had is that the complimentary dollies are sometimes all in use and we've had to wait a few minutes to get one. There's a little consignment store in the premises. If you want to donate things they have a program where they will take your items and deliver them to a charity for you. They also have an eBay shop. I love that I can pay automatically through a credit card. Yes, there are storage places that require you pay by check or cash! Finally the prices aren't rock bottom. I'm sure if you came from somewhere other than the middle of Los Angeles you'd be shocked, but for the location, safety of the facility, friendly staff and generous opening hours I think the prices are reasonable. read more

After visiting almost every storage facility in the area, I was amazed by the difference at this one!! The place is so clean, the people are helpful, friendly, and always around for less money than the other creepy places! There are video cameras and call boxes everywhere that insure you are safe. They have a free move-in truck, dollies, hand trucks, blankets, straps... and the guys that work here even helped me get big stuff into my space. They are open, as I said, all the times I would want to get in to visit my old couch: 7a-9p everyday and the office is open 9-6 everyday in case you need some boxes or tape or something. By the way the building looks more like an apartment building than a self-storage joint. It has these big Angels on the side of the building. All I can say is I am so glad I found this place, all the others in the area kind of creeped me out. read more

First storage review I've submitted after (sorry to say), having utilized storage for quite a few years. I am with SafKeep on Melrose at Western and am pretty darn happy. I've rented four or five units there in about that much time and it's been consistently easy and smooth. #1 - Clean and safe! It's gated with a key code, plus alarmed on the units. Halls are kept clear and clean, lights always work. Sometimes there's an odd renter here or there who seem to spend a lot of time in their unit, but they don't seem to be around long. (This is the nature of Hollywood, of course). The building exterior is pretty cool as well, reasonably and unusually attractive for a storage facility. The staff is always courteous and helpful. I've upsized, downsized, and added and vacated, so I've interacted with them a lot, and have not ever had a personality problem with anyone at the front desk. I tried out the consignment store, found it an interesting experiment. I liked the idea of not having to go meet a stranger on a workday or deal with a lot of looky-loos, but only a couple of staff had authorized access to it, so it wasn't quite as easy to send a buyer for a visit. I would still try it again, though. Email billing and online payment is super easy. No, it's not the cheapest in the neighborhood, but then you wouldn't want to store at that one, anyway. I would love if the move-in specials would continue indefinitely, but that's the price of long-term storage. read more
