As context, I'm a storage unit aficionado having rented units on 4 continents and currently holding two in two other states and one in Europe. I clearly have a problem that's informed me... and have seen the great, the mediocre, the bad, and the downright ugly. LA Security Storage earns 5 stars (GREAT!) from me because: 1. The staff is professional and you feel like (in all the good ways) that you're dealing with a family-run facility where they care about customer service. Curtis, the manager, runs a great ship. 2. The facility itself is unique if you take a moment to take a look at the building. The old school human-operated commercial elevator is great and there have always been carts available when we needed one. 3. The unit itself was clean and easy to access, we never had any issues getting in or out and there were no weird/odd/hard-to-place "storagey" odors that I've experienced in other facilites. The facility is super-duper clean, too. 4. Parking. Always able to get a spot and unload/reload easily. Woo! As for the hours, they may be shorter than other companies and that requires some planning from customers. Not a big deal, it's ok, just plan ahead. Thank you LA Security Storage team, you're the best!

Changing lightbulbs is really that hard??) and ok, they email you out of courtesy, but it seems like I'm getting a, "we will be inaccessible on such and such day(s)," email every time I turn around, that is, when I'm NOT getting a, "We're raising your rent...again" email. The icing on the cake is, the people who work here are rude, sarcastic, patronizing and don't lift a finger to help. I am mildly--but clinically, with the papers to prove it-- learning disabled, and when I requested that someone SHOW me how to get to the other elevator (because the main one was broken AGAIN) she laughed and said, "It's REALLY not that hard" without moving an inch. Packing my shit up and finding a new space asap. The rates are MUCH better at Safeway and Safkeep anyway, y'all! Ditch this overpriced shithole.

On moving day, the team arrived to pick up the storage unit while we were still scrambling to pack some last-minute items. If I could rate this zero starts, I would!! This is by far the worst moving company I've ever used!…read moreI wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy!! We were moving from a one bedroom and a den apartment from Beverly Hills to another location in Beverly Hills which was 5 minutes apart. We had packed most of my stuff and moved out the kitchen stuff, our clothes, the bathroom stuff and laundry stuff by ourselves. All that was left were only the big stuff which we believed would not take so much time considering there were 4 guys. We anticipated that according to the remaining items, it would take at most 4 to 5 hours. My biggest mistake was leaving them while I went to the other apartment to situate things. when I went back to check on them, I found one guy downstairs scrolling his phone and just chilling and upstairs there were 2 guys wrapping a tv! We were clearly dragging their feet and seem to not have a care in the world! By the way, even though, there were supposed to be 4 guys, at no point were there all 4 of them! One guy was nowhere to be found for the majority of the move! The move ended up taking 9 hours including their lunch break! Not to mention they mishandled our stuff and some of them sustained damages! The next day, someone in the company reached out asking how our move was. I provided the same feedback but never heard back from them!! Unbelievable!! This was by far the worst moving company I've ever worked it and a total scam! It was too expensive for no apparent reason and provided no value whatsoever!
