What is going on with prices!? This is a freaking JOKE. Self-storage has LITTLE overhead costs, and you are bleeding paying for a box of space! $200 a month for a 10x10!? It makes more sense to move into a bigger apartment for $200 more. What happened to reasonable prices? A 10x10 should cost around $60 a month. I cannot believe people are actually paying these prices.... use that money to move into a bigger home or buy a shed at Home Depot (for those who own houses). read more

Having a storage unit and everyone is great! I don't like when Kristi rushes me out minutes before 6 p.m. I know everyone has to be some where but when I'm sitting in my car adjusting the things I just took from my storage and it is 5:57 and Kristi is shouting from the gate Hurry Up! So she can lock the gate, it is very off putting. I understand she wants to get out of there right at 6:00 p.m. she can have the patience to let me adjust myself after carrying heavy boxes. read more

I researched a lot of storage units in my area before choosing A American. Reasons: good fair pricing, clean, and good management. Reservation process was very easy. You can do it online or call. Kristi is extremely helpful. She can help you decide what size unit you need depending on how much stuff you have. I really like that you can only go there during business hours, you go to the office to get a master key, and then go to your unit. Then you just drop off the key at the office when you're done. This makes everything extra secure and safe. Also this means your unit has two locks, one is their master lock, the other one is your own lock, which you can bring yourself or purchase from them. There is always at least one person at the office so you will always get assistance. Ppl need storage units to safely store things and hopefully not pay an arm and leg. This is exactly what you get here. Everything is simple, easy, fair priced, safe and clean. read more

I have been a customer of A-American Storage for a little less than a year. I was a returning customer because of their great customer service. Kristi and Francisco are simply amazing. No words can express how grateful I am to the both of them. They both have the best attitude, both are very knowledgeable and they always welcomed me with a smile on their face. To this day I don't know my unit number and never had to because they simply knew who I was. I used the storage for my business and looked forward my bi-weekly run just to see the both of them. This is a family owned business with a small management team, but they charge reasonable prices and are very responsive via texts, emails or phone calls. The facility itself is expansive, and quite accommodating to whatever your personal storage needs are. Well located too. They even have dollys and carts of all sorts placed upon the loading dock so customers may get stuff easily from car/truck to storage unit. The site is clean, well maintained, kindly folks, and most importantly safe. A true American 5 star experience I am eternally grateful for. *Tip: Buy your storage unit lock from them, it costs the same as Home Depot. *Tip: They have their own very big shipping truck they allow customers use with advanced notice. This is a great place. I had a great relationship with the owners. Never a problem. I left because I finally purchased a home large enough to put my home back together. What joy. Now decades later I downsized. Now I am in a very painful and costly storage facility, CUBE SMART on Olympic Blvd. Please do not make the same costly and biggest storage mistake of my life. This place is the best! Moves are stressful and trusting your possessions with a storage facility can be iffy. After a less than positive experience at one of the major storage facilities, I decided it was worth the extra cost to store with A-American. I visited several times and every visit was easy and straightforward. The facilities are CLEAN and seem very secure. There's ample parking and I liked the location in West LA. The space I rented seemed even bigger than what I thought I was getting, which was fantastic. Great customer service, there was ALWAYS at least one person at the desk. First let me begin by saying that this isn't the same company that was there the previous year, Oscar told me they'd taken over from the previous owners and, from what I've seen, they've really done a job. I rented here from the beginning of February until about the first week of April as I had an overlap between rentals. I worked mostly with Oscar who didn't pressure me during the initial tour and personally helped prepare my unit for me because it wasn't ready at the time and he hit the deadline no problem. Oscar and his staff were incredibly helpful and always friendly and welcoming and even helped me to save money a couple times. I would never hesitate to go back even if it was just to talk to Oscar. Was able to sign up for automatic debit for the unit so didn't have to worry about paying every month! I had a great year and a half storing with them. I did not think I would feel compelled to write a review for a storage unit but this place is THAT good. I had a very complicated move. I am in chicago and was having separate pieces of furniture delivered to the two units I had here over the past few months. Robin, Chrissy, and everyone else I worked with here were incredibly helpful facilitating each delivery. Nothing was too much to ask. If this were a hotel, it would be like staying at the Four Seasons. They go out of their way for you. I honestly was blown away by the level of service I found here. This is a major disappointment. I love the security it has to offer....but I'm giving this location a 1 Star! I find a homeless guy bathing in the men's bathroom and hogging it like it's own. The management won't do anything about gentlemen like the homeless guy bathing in the sink. He also used the women's bathroom as well. I'm not recommending this location at all!!!!!! read more
