    Newly installed security entry panels.

I've been a tenant at this location for several years. I live in the neighborhood so it's convenient to pass by as needed to get work related items for my business. Over past few years the building became very run-down. However, recently the entire facility has undergone a top to bottom renovation. They've installed 4 new elevators, painted the walls and floors. Installed new bathrooms and redid the landscaping. Most importantly they've installed new and improved security cameras everywhere. The place is now immaculate. Clean and very professionally run. The new manager, Chaquill and district manager, Doug as well as the staff I've met (Miguel) are all super cool. Friendly but professional. Anyone who had a bad opinion in the past should check out the new facility. I know my property is in good hands.

Opened our unit to find everything tossed, on the floor, empty containers..

DO NOT STORE YOUR STUFF HERE! My husband & I had our storage unit broken into with $3000 worth of items stolen. Our neighboring unit was also broken into (one of his items was left in our unit). Our lock was tampered with in December but not finally fixed until a week a go (right AFTER the theft) however they made us feel it was our fault for the lock not being securely locked. It appears these thefts have been going on for way too long without being rectified.. makes you wonder why not!!??? There are no employees on site from 6-9pm but tenants can still enter at this time. We were informed by employees they think it's a customer who has gate access that comes between 6-9 to steal then leaves through the stairwell which the thieves know has no cameras. The thieves are low life losers & the guy who is in charge clearly dgaf so he's just as much to blame.

Hole from my unit into the next unit and then the next

My storage unit was broken into THREE TIMES in my first year. The on-site staff have been really cool and understanding but their supervisors just don't seem to care at all - I have called and left multiple messages for both local and regional supervisors and have also emailed them and they have not even bothered to respond. Today I finally reached someone in "customer service" (what service?!) and was told that I was wasting my time because, even if I had an opportunity to speak with one of the supervisors, it would not do any good because Public Storage renters take the space at their "sole risk". If anyone at Public Storage sees this and actually reaches out to me, I will update my post and let y'all know what happens.

How high are the storage units? They only give the length and width on the website.

The ones on the 4th floor are about 18 feet.

I'm glad I chose this location because of their deal and most importantly the lady who works there names Regina.

It is moist and mildewed in my unit and smells when you get off the elevator. Then in February, we were robbed, and we just found out TODAY 7/19/ 2025--months later--when we discovered a brand-new Public Storage lock on our unit. We reported that our key no longer worked, only to be told our UNIT had been broken into. Shockingly, they had video footage of the robbery. Even worse--they never contacted us and failed to file a police report, despite knowing that several units, including ours, were hit. We were told someone allegedly rented a unit just to get the gate code and access other units. The contract they make you sign conveniently removes all liability on their end, while prices keep increasing--I'm now paying nearly $500 a month. Their only solution? "Call the insurance company." Absolutely unacceptable. At this point, I'm questioning whether this is an inside job. Beware of this company.

I didn't waste a minute and headed straight over to check it out. That's when I met John, and let me just say: he's the reason this review is getting five stars. From the moment I walked in, John was welcoming, patient, and incredibly helpful. He took the time to answer all my (many) questions, showed me the space, and even offered smart, practical advice on how to move in efficiently. His level of customer service honestly blew me away. To be completely honest, I've never had high expectations when it came to Public Storage--past experiences at other locations were less than stellar. But John completely flipped the script for me. I actually had two other reservations at competing storage companies that I fully planned to visit, but after meeting John and seeing the Cotner location, I canceled them on the spot. That's how good the experience was. If it were my business, I'd consider John a top asset. Someone give this man a raise--he's setting the gold standard for customer service.

Absolute best experience ever! I was surprised at how easy the process was to rent a unit here…read more Very professional, responsible, responsive, CLEAN, and kind. Terry helped me out in deciding which unit was best fit for our needs. She not only made the process easy, but you can see how much care she puts into running the facility. The place is spotlessly clean and tidy, she's friendly and kind to everyone, and we feel very secure with the setup. Once you sign up, they give you a personal code to access the gate entry to parking/loading. You'll be required to enter the code again to enter the building. It's very secure. Thanks Terry!!

This place is only about…read morea 19% scam, but my stuff was secure and it was helpful to have it there because they run a tight ship, and don't let the local riffraff in. Even though I had a lock from another extra space they made me buy a new lock. So whatever the price they quote you - you have to add on a bunch of other things so unlike the airlines and hotels they don't have any rules in this industry of Self Storage. The price you start with will not be the price you finish with and it was quite an extreme jump and I think they get you because that first month everyone thinks you're getting their stuff out and no one does. So to pay 300 bucks for a small closet was ridiculous because I am prettier I could have gotten an entire bedroom in LA for $600 complete with kitchen and bathroom privileges.

I came across Extra Space who had a phenomenal promotion going so I couldn't pass it up! Jocylynn was very professional and pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend this place if you need a safe clean place to keep your items. Just heads up if you go here make sure you use the Santa Monica address if not you'll end up in Koreatown

I had a frustrating experience at this location today…read more According to the hours listed on the app, the gate, and the office door, the facility closes at 7:00 PM on weekdays. I arrived today (Wednesday) at around 6:47 PM, thinking I was still within the posted hours. I only needed to quickly purchase a box and access my storage for a few small items I even mentioned I would be in and out. However, the employee on duty a white male, late 40s, who rides a motorcycle and was handling closing told me they were already closed and that access ends at 6:45 PM. He refused to allow me access to my storage unit. The only thing he did allow was for me to purchase a box, and even then, I was told I could only pay with a debit card because the registers were already closed. If access actually ends at 6:45 PM, then the hours should reflect that everywhere (app, gate, and office door). It's frustrating and misleading for customers to show up within posted hours and be denied access. I understand people want to wrap up their workday, but consistency matters. I'm hoping this gets addressed so other customers don't run into the same issue.
