Avoid this location. I am writing this review to help people looking for a safe place to keep their belongings. I used this place for the price & paid for that mistake. I don't write reviews like this often. From early on, it was clear the property was poorly maintained--cracked wood doors on units and keypads that worked inconsistently, inadequate lighting, and even the doors to the individual units felt flimsy and unreliable. But things took a real turn for the worse when my unit was broken into. The lock was damaged, door jam damaged and several items were stolen. To make matters worse, I later discovered that the person responsible had been allowed to rent the unit next to mine, using it as a base to break into several nearby units, including mine. The facility notified me the day after the break-in occurred. They did not offer an apology or take responsibility for their lack of proper security or background checks on renters. They never even fixed my damaged unit! When I contacted the regional manager to express my concerns, he also failed to apologize for the unacceptable circumstances. To add insult to injury, instead of an apology or reassurance that security measures would improve, the next communication I received was a notice that my rent would increase. That was the final straw for me. The only reason I'm giving this place any stars at all is because of the young man working the front desk. He was always polite and did his best to help, but he's been handed an impossible job of trying to make this facility look respectable when it's anything but. I don't leave negative reviews often--if you check my other posts, you'll see that I try to be fair and reasonable. But this storage facility truly deserves to be avoided. This is one of the more dated StorQuest facilities I've seen, however, it did appear secure and clean. My primary reason for this review is to acknowledge one of the associates working there named Scott. He was exceptionally helpful, informative, and friendly and as the only associate there at the time, he was running around managing multiple tasks at once. I rarely feel compelled to write negative reviews for places but after 2 months of smoke and mirrors from their management and customer reps, false late charges and payment notices (because of an error in their system apparently after they had to rewrite my unit contract because THE UNIT I RENTED WAS NOT EVEN AVAILABLE WHEN I GOT THERE), my access code to my own unit being suspended as a result of the former, and constant threats of a lien sale and moving my stuff, I need to warn other customers. I began renting here in December and when I showed up, as mentioned earlier, both the unit I had rented and the backup they had were rented by other people. No explanation. I got a far worse unit in a far worse location at their facility. Due to this error on their part, they were supposed to pen me a new contract and void the previous one. Instead, they have sent me constant notices of late payments and lien sales because their system still thinks I am on the first unit and THEIR STAFF HAS NOT FIXED IT ACROSS 2 MONTHS. For reference, I gave their customer service and regional managers 8 OPPORTUNITIES TO FIX THIS, to which they replied that they were "working on it" and that it's just an "error with their new system." 2 months of threats and payment notice harassment, accompanied by false promises and deflection from their staff. Do NOT rent from this location if you do not have to - otherwise you might be entering a world of stress and fear of your stuff being lost at all times due to simple accounting mistakes that their staff refuse to fix. read more

Complete bait and switch. We reserved a 5 x 5 space on their website, only to arrive with all of our stuff and find that the space was "approximately 5 x 5"... meaning that it was about 3' x 4' (if that)! As we stood there and measured it, the guy had the nerve to say it was, "A few inches off of 5x5, give or take." UM... give or take a few feet! He said the space is a little taller, so that should make up for it. Not really how it works, buddy. Also, the space was just a plywood box, not metal walls like other storage places. When we said we wanted the exact amount of space we reserved on the website, he admitted that for an *actual* 5 x 5, we'd need to pay more. He admitted that most people just take the space because they're already there with their stuff to be stored. We took our business elsewhere. Obnoxious. read more

I rented a space here for a few years, and felt I should warn potential renters. Out of the blue I received a late notice on a rent payment I had made on time. I had to call Storquest and leave messages 5 times before I finally got a call back. She told me they had received my check, but could not deposit it because my rent had been raised (this was news to me). They had then added a late fee and a "Pre-lien" fee to the rent increase, all of which had to be paid before I could access my unit. I had never been notified of a rent increase, so I was pretty unhappy with the situation. They had my stuff, so I had little choice but to pay all of this. I moved out immediately and of course will never rent here again. It looks like they figured out step 2. Step 1: Raise rent, don't inform tenant Step 2: Hold rent check, charge additional fees for late payment Step 3: Profit! Remember that your stuff could be held hostage whenever you rent a storage unit, so be careful who you leave it with. read more

The location is great. That is about the only thing that I can say that is positive. The employees are some what professional depending on the day and who you get. They rarely answer the phone (I have been in the office on numerous occasions where the phone rings and they look at the phone but do not answer) If your waiting for a package or mail make sure you do not need it right away, they sometime close the office in the middle of the day at random, claiming to show a unit but when I have been there I have seen them go on an errand to visit the Ralphs, Staples and other businesses near by. And if you think that calling management helps, it doesn't. They make no attempt to correct the issues. So my recommendation, there are cleaner more professional places near this one. read more

This is the first time I've used a storage facility other than Public Storage and let me tell you- you truly get what you pay for. This facility is not air conditioned, the floors are made of plywood and are completely cracked, the large carts are too big for the corridors and the small carts are impossible to maneuver because the casters are broken, and worst of all, the elevators are manually operated so you need to open and close the doors by hand. The only positive aspects of this facility is that the attendant on site is friendly, the hours of entry are longer, and the price. read more

This review is for the lady specifically. Some of the other reviews seems to be pretty good, and I am disappointed that I did not receive the same service because 'Mark' was not there. Unprofessional and un-accomodating! I made a reservation a few weeks in advance for around $50/month for the particular storage unit. They called me and confirmed when I could come in to check out the place. I went in at the scheduled time and date, but the lady was nowhere to be seen. She finally came back an hour later and did not even apologize for being late. (I was sitting in the car for a whole hour) Then she proceeds to try to look up my reservation and said that my reservation had been canceled and the rate was now $70/month, which is almost $20 more than the reserved amount. I was neither notified of the cancelled reservation in e-mail nor told about it during the phone call to schedule my drop-in. I asked her if I could receive the price for which I reserved it at, and she just straight up said 'no, we can't' and did not bother to apologize. This place is unprofessional and not friendly at all! read more

My husband and I found the facilities to be clean, easy access and Mark was VERY friendly and helpful. This made our moving experience so much easier... It would have been nice if it was closer to home but, all in all everything else went smooth. Thank you Mark for being so helpful ! read more

Great storage facility. I had never rented from any storage facility before, Yesenia made it such a breeze, from showing me the unit to renting the space and moving in. She answered all my questions and provided detailed information about accessing the facility. I was blown away by her patience and determination to find me the right unit and answer all my first-timer questions. I had no issues what so ever. Even when it came to moving out, Yesenia went above and beyond for me to make sure I was moved out without any issues. I was in the unique situation where I had to ask the StorQuest manager to direct a fedex delivery into my unit because I was moving from the east coast and wasn't in town yet by delivery time. In short, FedEx completely dropped the ball and all thanks to the manager, Yesenia, my belongings were taken care of and made it into the unit. Yesenia went above and beyond to assure my situation was remedied and she clearly has an eye for customer satisfaction and service. I'm not sure what I would have done had it not been to her quick thinking! I would recommend this place simply because of her quick management. read more
