The initial estimate of "$1800 for the initial pick-up, 4x movers, premium services to help box/pack items, 1-month of storage, plus final delivery" was clearly enticing and convinced me to book instantly. Reviews warned that issues with final billing and disputing the amounts were very common, but I accepted the risk. I will say that all of my items were picked-up and returned with no major damages to report. What is clear is that Clutter is able to advertise these cheap prices because they hit their margins in excessive billing. They will often under-estimate the size of the storage unit you will need so they can upcharge you for the upgrade later. They will always find away to take longer than 6 hours in order to require a 2nd pick-up (either not enough movers, or sending a truck too small for your estimates). My move required 3x total scheduled pick-ups totaling over $3750 in final costs. These do not include the costs of me having to extend the lease of my apt because I scheduled my move-out for the day before my lease ended and Clutter needed an additional 7-days to get all of my stuff out of the unit. I will not use this company again in the future because they have no problem doubling the costs of my initial budget and with them there is always some additional cost or fee that I did not consider that resulted in the excessive billing. My card was automatically charged over 8 separate times during this experience. If you do use this company, be sure to have a credit card with a large credit limit. Also customer service after the initial pick-up is handled by a foreign company that is difficult to understand. They're doing their best, but there were multiple issues in scheduling + billing due to simple miscommunication. read more

Every mover we've had has been friendly and efficient. My belongings were packed safely and returned safely. Scheduling is a breeze.

I will never use this type of storage service. If they do not find or break your items you will not be fairly compensated. I was a customer before the buyout and neither company was fair to customers. I have so many items stolen (I.e. LV purse) from my boxes that they could never be replaced. Also, those items that you didn't get back are auctioned off to others. I hope this is the first and last time I have to store any of my belongings with a storage company. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! DO NOT HIRE! They sent a team out to me earlier in the week to do a walkthrough of my place so they could take photos of everything I needed. They would then schedule the movers to come a few days later, a few days later the movers come, do a walkthrough again and then let me know they are required to go take their lunch break and they left and said they would be back. She apologized for my experience, validated my feelings, provided me with an update on my return appointment, and offered solutions to the concerns I expressed to her. It was not only what she said, but HOW she said it. There's a big difference from just saying "I apologize" to making your customer feel like you truly do care, and Daphne made me feel like I was finally being heard. Thank you to her! My feedback to clutter corp, please use a different customer service solution other than the India based team. I felt like I was talking to robots and nothing was being done. They also had to "reach out to their team" for every question, so they clearly aren't equipped to handle disputes. Weekends seem to be a big problem of yours. Please don't offer weekends if you aren't able to staff requests accordingly. I know I speak for most customers in saying that we rather not have weekends as an option, if it means multiple cancellations. Or make the weekend return option more money so you can pay your drivers more for scheduled weekends. You're setting yourself up to fail by pricing weekday deliveries the same as a weekend I don't think I will ever use clutter again, as the level of stress and inconvenience caused were far too great, but I hope you appreciate staff like Daphne, and change things around to provide your customers with a better experience. The tech communication about pick up and droppoff was perfect. The guys who picked up needed more training to take care of the furniture. They work efficiently- clearly a motive for the company. One strong guy carried the couch which isn't great for the structure of a couch. The couch was placed on the truck upended- is that ok? I watched them wrap it and they were going to leave one edge exposed till I mentioned it. The legs were off of the furniture and they placed it directly on asphalt. The couch without legs was placed on a curve while wrapping so it was half on and off curb. They left some corners exposed. When I mentioned that they said they were supposed to have corner protectors on the truck and didn't. Its a convenient and affordable service. I rented out my home and moved my items to clutter while i looked for a new place, first they took a riduclous amount of time to pack the items so that it would exceed the free 5 hours and charged me over $150. Next i tried getting a file out of my storage, I had to drive 3 hours away to the middle of nowhere to pick up the item and was charged a $150 restocking fee, to pick up my own item. Then most recently, I scheduled to have my items delivered because I have a new place. While scheduling it over the phone the lady made a mistake and canceled it and rebooked it correctly, and they charge me a $100 cancelation fee, for a mistake that they made! They outsource their customer service to India, and the specialists are not helpful at all, they cant solve any actual problem, they just say they are filing a claim and the claims never get resolved. The last straw, it came time for my apointment this past saturday 11/22 they messaged me the DAY OF during the appointment time stating the apointment was being canceled due to a "major operational issue" and rescheduled the the appointment to the next day - November 23rd. I called in and spoke with their India customer service team, all they said was theres no possible way to help and that i have to wait until the next day. Mind you I had paid for help already, and had other people who had taken time out of their day to help and they were telling me this last minute. Then the next day, Sunday, i had re-hired more help and the same thing happened AGAIN. They texted and emailed me stating "Due to operational issues, we will not be able to service your appointment today," and this time they rescheduled me all the way out to December 1st. I now have to change travel plans and miss work, to accomodate this new date that doesnt work for me which is a week day. I called and complained they provided no solution, i told them that date doesnt work they would not budge. They said if i chose a weekend, it's likely the movers will call out of work, so this is why they moved it to a Monday (weekday) because movers dont call out as much on weekdays. So come to find out the "major operational issues" relate to their movers calling out of work day of. This company advertises itself as picking up your stuff and storing it and then allowing you to schedule delivery, but I have had a issue at every step of the way, but the final step has been eggregious. If customers are not allowed to schedule weekend deliveries of their items without significant risk of cancelation because of their movers canceling, and this is a known problem, this should be made clear upfront. instead they say what they need to say to get your money, and them they screw you over on the back end with absolutely no remorse. Meanwhile they charge you for every little thing along the way, even for their own mistakes, but yet they will completely screw over your and make their unreliable movers your problem with no recourse. I used Clutter to help me store and then move a 3 bedroom houseful of furniture, furnishings and personal items in the months of November 2025 through February 2026. Upon receiving my stored items, I found that an antique lamp and been totally destroyed because it was packed with a couple of sheets of bubble wrap by Clutter. I had them pack certain items because of their weight and this lamp was one of those items. I have been in communication with them since February, and I have been given the runaround and no solution to my damage; numerous emails where they first claimed to have never stored the item to claiming that I had packed the item. Although I have provided information to the contrary, and they have reluctantly admitted to damaging my item and offered a settlement, I've been told that I can't access the claim amount because I no longer have access to the storage account (I switched it over to another person after being told that doing so would not affect my claim.) Stay away from Clutter unless you like pain! I wish I could give -100 stars to Clutter. I'm a bit nomadic, so I move a lot and know no move is perfect. However I have never, ever, never had to deal with the amount of problems that came with hiring Clutter. On my move day, only 2 or the 3 movers showed up. Since they were short staffed they couldn't finish my move that day. The movers said they would come back the next day. I said ok, because I had built in an extra day wiggle room. However, after the movers left with part of my belonging I got a call from Clutter saying they couldn't come back for 2 more days. I had to be out of my apartment and had a trip booked so I had no choice but to call another moving company to finish the move and put the remained of my belongings in a local storage facility. On several occasions I tried to have Clutter come pick up my belongings from the local storage and add them to my belongings at Clutter. There was always an issue, so getting my belongs to one place never happened. I ended up paying an additional $1500 ( 5 months) for the local storage company. Then when it was time to move my things out of storage I incurred an additional charge of $500 from my long distance moving company because I had two separate pickup locations. Also, Clutter charges you if you have a moving service pick up your things from them $450. Stay away from this company. Just go with a local service. I've been dealing with a HORRIBLE reconstruction company since January and needed to transfer my belongings from the storage facility that belong to the now fired reconstruction company in a very short window. I researched moving and storage companies, found Clutter and was able to get an appointment within 48 hours! Not only did they come to move my items but they can also store them and the pricing is fair, the employees are so amazing and awesome and they really just went above and beyond for me. MJ in customer service helped understand the situation and get my appointment scheduled perfectly. When we arrived at the facility where my five bedroom home of belongings was being stored they had all of my things out in the parking lot. even though Clutter was scheduled to move of my belongings across two days, the entire company stepped up to help to ensure that all of my belongings were removed in one day and not left in a parking lot overnight. This situation has been a nightmare and Clutter is a ray of sunshine. I'm very grateful for my moving team Juan, Khristian and Antonio and their supervisor Luis who even came to bring another truck. My final return took ~10 minutes, yet I was charged a mandatory $177 "service fee" --despite the "free" promise. They hide behind their fine print terms of service, but their website and marketing all advertise FREE with no qualifiers. It's only when you ask for the return that they charge you and say "oh no, only labor is FREE". This reads like a classic junk fee. But I ultimately decided to hire Clutter for my recent move and storage needs. My first inkling that they are not a reputable company was when the terms of my deal kept changing- sometimes the website said I would get 4 free hours of moving, sometimes 5, sometimes 3. So, I contacted their customer support and was told I would get 6 free hours (again, I should have taken this as a red flag that the number was yet again different, but I thought I'd be ok since I had this in writing from their own team member). After Clutter came and took all my belongings, my bill included only 2 free hours! They are trying to charge me $200 for the other 1.57 hours my move used. I contacted their support team and have been told that, even though they acknowledge I have 6 free hours in writing, and even though they acknowledge that their system was flawed in registering changes to my account incorrectly, they still will not fix the error and I owe them the money. Absolutely shameful- not only the shady business practices, but even the baldfaced lie that they "can't fix it because of their system blah. blah blah" they are shady. Point blank. Don't use them. They will find some way to screw you over, or sneak in extra charges, or pretend it was a "system mistake" but still make you pay for it. Or something. I scheduled a delivery and specifically asked for a 1 PM - 5 PM time window with their customer service. I was told multiple times that they will do their best to accommodate my needs. I called and contacted customer service multiple times about this situation but the driver still showed up early in the morning while I was not at the property. WORST moving experience ever. I hired Clutter to help move and store my boss's entire home for three months while he and his family were away. It took Clutter 4 days to pack up the house... but only because we were told they could only work several hours per day. We also had asked the movers to bubble wrap and label everything which they did not do. But they did box up a garbage can full of trash. Due to the California fires, they ended up moving to New York several weeks ago, and we had to pay $2500+ to get their items pulled out of the warehouse. When our movers (a separate company) arrived to pick up the items, they found several pieces of furniture broken and 13-17 boxes missing (why 13-17? Because we STILL haven't been able to get Clutter to provide an inventory of the items that have been "misplaced" in their storage facility). My boss and I have called, emailed, filed claims, done everything possible to get some kind of resolution - or even just information! - and cannot get anyone to take us seriously. God sent Vivek who once again called me to say he'd take care of it. And he did, he got the charges for the 2 days 9 & 10th and closed my account, which is exactly what I wanted. Be Warned! Do Not Trust Clutter with Your Belongings! I put my entire apartment into Clutter storage on July 26th. The pickup crew was great, handled a huge load without issue. My building is tricky, which is why I scheduled a 7am Saturday slot. They made it work, no problem. Fast forward to August 23rd, the day I scheduled my delivery weeks in advance. At 9:52am I got a text saying the crew was "almost here." By 10:12am, no one had arrived, no calls, nothing. When I called customer service, they told me the driver had been "trying to reach me." That was a lie. Then I got a text saying my appointment was moved to August 31st -- eight days later -- without asking me. After pushing back, they promised a 1-4pm delivery that day. At 2:30pm, I saw the truck down the street with the movers just sitting there. I explained the unloading options (block the driveway with neighbor permission, or use the side street). Both were fine, and the original pickup crew had no issue. They said okay, I even got a text that my appointment "had begun." Then they simply left without a word. Moments later, I got another text saying I was rescheduled for Tuesday, August 26th. I begged for Sunday or Monday delivery. Both refused. I'm now in an empty apartment with nothing -- forced to pay for a hotel, take a day off work, and deal with another $500 storage fee for time they caused. On top of that, Clutter is charging me for what they are calling a cancellation, even though I never canceled anything. This feels like a bait-and-switch scam: completely unprofessional movers who walked off the job, paired with outsourced customer service that can't help in the slightest. Clutter was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I canceled my service and was still charged over $500 not once, but TWICE, for two consecutive months, for a service I was not even using. Getting this resolved was exhausting and infuriating. Their customer service is unprofessional, slow, and completely ineffective. Issues are not handled with any urgency, and you are forced to follow up repeatedly just to get basic accountability. There is zero sense of ownership when something goes wrong. To make matters worse, multiple items were broken during my move, and the damage was brushed off rather than properly addressed. Between the billing errors, lack of care with my belongings, and poor communication, this company showed a total disregard for customers. What is supposed to be a hassle-free experience, is anything but. Every interaction with their India-based customer support staff is a nightmare. It doesn't matter how many times you explain basic issues for them (such as your refusal to sign an acknowledgment that you received a document from them that you in fact never received), all you get is canned answers "I'm afraid if you don't sign you won't. get your things".
