I only had one china cabinet to move and I knew it wouldn't take 3-hours. I communicated with Omar via text, phone, & email. Very communicative. Day of move, Ozzy and Al brought this 130 lb china cabinet with care. It was wrapped well and they also wrapped the drawers and glass shelves separately. As they moved the item from their truck into the dining room, they worked really well with each other, communicating every step of the way and being mindful and considerate of the small things that you wish for in a good mover. We hired The Small Delivery to move a large leather sectional from Encino to where we live in the Valley. Sandro & Ozzy were our two movers, and accomplished the task within the time they quoted us, were early in their arrival window, and securely protected and wrapped the entire couch before starting the moving process. They also helped setup the sectional in a new configuration at our place and took our old sectional to the curb to be picked up by the city. I've used The Small Delivery company for my past four moves, and I will continue to do so. I HATE moving, but moving twice within a month and a 1/2 timeframe, I think I'm getting it down to a science. However, the things I can't do is where TSD steps in. I've worked with Omar mostly, but this most recent move, I had the pleasure of working with Sandro and Allen! It was almost a sideshow where the two of them fed off one another, and we laughed a lot during the process. Don't let that fool you; they got the job done in minimal time, and made sure everything was secure in the truck prior to driving, and putting together the bigger stuff once we arrived at the destination. This was the first time I took advantage of their wardrobe boxes; I normally am able to take care of this myself, but this time, I needed the extra amenity. My stuff was crammed into two or three of these boxes, but everything was in tact when I moved the hangers into the closet. Go figure, I ended up getting rid of a large majority of the clothes once I moved in, but I'm glad they offer these in addition to their regular moving services. Maybe not as good as it gets... but as good as I've found. Omar had Daniel and Juan moved a desk for me. I tried a different moving company and it was pretty much a disaster so I really wanted The Small Delivery Company to, um, deliver. The Pro's... everyone was nice. I hate when companies have the attitude that they are doing you the favor or when the people show up they are surly. Omar was very nice and Daniel and Juan were smiling and personable AND did their job well. They called 30 minutes ahead so I didn't have to hang out for the whole 3 hour window. They were on time and got right to work. They have an hour and fifteen minutes minimum and I never thought that they would get everything done including travel across the valley in that time. They were less expensive than other highly recommended companies and NO hidden bullshit charges like "extra heavy furniture fee" or "packing material fee"... except for... The Con's... the semi-understandable "outside the normal work area fee" of $50. (They told me about it way ahead of time so it was not a surprise AND it still kept them cheaper than other companies.) The other slight downside was that i get the feeling that Omar is swamped and could use another person in the office. It could take a half or full day to hear back on an email and while that does not seem all that long, in this day and age, you should be getting back to people in 1 to 4 hours... in my whiny opinion. Bottom line... a HEAVY desk moved from Granada Hills to Encino with two guys (they also had to move a second desk to the street to make room for the new desk)... $115 plus extra $50 = $165. Plus tip, of course. (There were places that quotes me $139 per hour with a three hour minimum!) read more

I cannot believe it took me this long to find The Small Delivery Company, but I am so glad I did. I needed an ottoman, an end table and 2/3 of a sectional couch removed from my storage unit and brought to my home. I also needed a couple of items moved around in order for the incoming furniture to fit. Omar was easy to work with and communicative. I gave him a ring, and I was provided with a time frame. I was very limited as to which day I could do the move, but Omar was accommodating. I was told that there would be a 2-hour minimum for $95 per hour if I paid cash. No problem. I thought the work would take much longer than 2 hours, anyway... On the day of, they were running a bit behind. Omar was up-front about it and provided me with an updated time frame. Beto and Ozzy did indeed arrive on time. They were so fast -- they wrapped up my items and had everything in their truck in minutes. Delivery was equally pleasant. They took care not to damage anything, and I would say they made the best out of an unfavorable situation -- my stairs, my tiny doorways, etc. They actually finished in under 2 hours, and I was very impressed. They worked diligently and patiently together. I really wish they did large-scale moves, but I will absolutely keep them in mind again for anything short in the future. I booked the Small Delivery company with just one week's notice, for a Saturday. Omar answered the phone over the weekend and was able to give me an accurate quote over the phone based on the items I needed moved. He was very pleasant, answered my questions, and the booking process was super easy. I received a confirmation call the day before and on the day of the move, received a 30 minute courtesy call as promised. The guys who showed up (forgot their names...sorry!!) were super quick but also very careful with my items. Every single move in the past (and I've moved around a lot!!) there has always been something - scuffed furniture, minor damage to walls, etc. - but the guys from the Small Delivery left nary a scratch nor scuff on my furniture or on the walls. At the end of the move, which only took about 2.5 hours with drive time, the total came out to be the lower end of the estimate Omar originally gave me. I did a lot of research looking for movers who would do less than 3 hour minimum. We moved to a different unit within the same building so I didn't think that required 3 hours. I found Small Delivery, which agreed to do our small move with their 2 hour minimum. I emailed for a quote and appointment, communication was easy and quick. Moving day came and Sandro and Ozzie arrived at our place within the given time frame. I told them we were just doing the 2 hours and requested they do the big items first, and then the boxes, and any boxes left after the 2 hours, we would just move ourselves. They were armed with all kinds of equipment, dollies, plastic wrap, boxes with a hanger bar for you to simply move your clothes WITH their hangers, and transport it without having to take them off the hanger. What a lifesaver. Anyway, Sando and Ozzie HUSTLED and moved SO quickly. We were extremely impressed by how efficient, productive, and professional they were. They were also fun to chat with and work well together. They ended up moving EVERYTHING within the 2 hours. We felt a little "extra" hiring movers to move a few floors up, but after this, we 100% felt it was worth every penny and will not hesitate to recommend them to everyone. read more

Gosh I wish I could have given a better rating but my experience unfortunately was not like every one else. Started off well contacted Omar the owner who was very nice and respectful but didn't have a date open for the end of July so I had booked another moving company. I had mentioned to him that I was referred by a bigger mover to call them since I had a small one bedroom and seeing positive reviews on yelp. He then called a few days later said there was a cancellation so I booked it. The day of move was going well so far quick efficient the 2 movers wrapped and covered everything from washer to couch and small bedroom set as well as a couple of boxes since my hubby and I moved as much as we could before the big move. Like another reviewer mentioned they use a plain unmarked smaller truck. Everything we had fit well and we were off from Mid-Wilshire to La Canada Flintridge. When we arrived at our new place the 2 movers started to unload when we notice they had not secured or tide down well the Traeger grill so it tipped on its side and was dented at one end. Traeger grills don't come by the cheap so that was the first issue. Second, when they brought in couch one of the guys used a utility knife to take off wrapping as my husband was standing there watching the guy went a bit to deep and made a slit on our custom made couch. Then the nerve of him trying to deny it while my hubby watched him do it. I called Ozzy over and told him what the other guy did and he called Omar right away. I also called Omar as soon as Ozzy hung up and explained the situation. Omar was prompt to say he would take care of the expense of the couch but not of the grill since the guys didn't mention that to him. Geez! I do I appreciate his willingness of taking care of the couch but not the integrity or truthfulness of his workers. Just know things will happen unfortunately, it happened to us on top of a stressful move during Covid. The movers did use masks and gloves. read more
