I have had my things stored her for 3 months. Today I received a notice of rent increase, an increase of $60 from my original rate. I understand that it is a month to month lease, but this is 100% a bait and switch. They advertise one price online, and then when you sign up they hit you with a 17% increase in rent. They are also supposed to provide a 30 day notice of increase, and they sent me a notice today to take effect at the beginning of May. This company is beyond shady and has lost a customer. Was disappointed to find out that 24/7 does not actually mean what it says. I decided to go to my storage unit before work after looking up the operating hours of the building and it stated online and in many other places that the office is open from 9AM-6PM and the access hours are open from 6AM-6PM. Arrived at 6AM and waited until close to 7AM and tried to enter my ifnormation into the keypad to access my unit and had no luck of reaching any answer from the storage company's 3 different phone numbers listed around the building. The keypad stated that the area was closed even though it was past 6AM. Was not able to access my storage unit even though it is a "24/7" business. If the information is outdated and not accurate it needs to be changed as I am not happy I made the trip for nothing. read more

PLEASE READ!!! I wouldn't store anything here! A month ago I got most of my stuff STOLEN from my storage unit. Guess what?! The lock wasn't forced! They either opened with a master key or through the walls and they went through ALL my stuff (clothes) and took almost all of it. Call it coincidence or not but there are no cameras facing the hallway of my unit, just the stairs that access to it (and I wasn't told of that when I rented it!). Funny thing about the manager, when the police came and were asking questions had to leave in the middle of it because his shift was done. He lied to us saying that nobody got robbed besides me. Well, last week I went again and a tenant of a unit closer to mine told me that his lock got forced too and some other tenants from our hallway also got stolen. For what I've counted more than $11k worth in clothes had been taken from my unit and the insurance is just covering $3k or less. This storage company had the decency to charge me the next month fee that, because I didn't take what's left of my stuff in order to let the investigation take its course. read more

These people have a really confused view of "supply & demand." Rent keeps going up, yet there are plenty of open units? I would understand if they were in high demand/short supply, or if I were paying below "street" value, but this is definitely not the case. I could go rent a new, identical unit today for $60 less/month (see photo). Service isn't great; the StorQuest truck is always parked in front of my unit which defeats the purpose of an exterior access container, which we purposefully chose so we could drive right up to the door. And there are STILL people living in the units! My one compliment is that they painted the door of our unit a nice shade of red. read more

When I moved to LA over 7 years ago, I needed a quick place to put my storage. This place was literally across the street from my house. I eventually moved my belongings out of the storage but have had a mailbox at this location for 7 years. They have always been courteous and friendly to me whenever I go to pick up any mail that may be there. I use it only as an extra business address mailbox. The location is clean and it is open 7 days a week and my mail is safe there. All the workers are nice and polite. I used to pay about $15 a month for my mail box but it has increased to about $23 a month. That is fine with me. There is an attendant there to sign for packages for me during business hours and even on Saturdays and Sundays. I would highly recommend this as an alternative to getting a postal box, because it is not a PO box. It is an address and you can have a suite # or box # if you want. It is very convenient. I have used StorQuest for both storage and their mail box services. They have gone through several managers over the several years I've been using them. When Luis (the current manager) started, he was kind, courteous and communicative. I believe he actually likes working there and has always been very helpful when I've interacted with him and when I've seen him interact with other customers. The location is clean and tidy. It's not in the best neighborhood but Luis stands out with his customer service skills, which makes up for the neighborhood. I have recommended this particular location to several friends and told them to ask for Luis. He is professional and it really shows in his management skills. read more

Location is excellent: I was nervous about storing my things in hollywood while i was moving...i thought the prices would be crazy high, but I got a great deal on my first month! And i can easily stop by my unit whenever im in hollywood. Management is friendly and kind. I'm kind of picky... but Luis took me around the whole building until i found the storage unit that I wanted. Also, I made my payment this month late but they gave me a courtesy call to remind me before any late charge! Anddd there is plenty of parking, elevators and carts to use. The associate I spoke with when I first entered the storage facility, Katrina, was fantastic. Amazing. I am not being hyperbolic. I am literally amazed by her helpfulness, kindness, competence, and professionalism. It was my first time using a storage facility and I was admittedly a bit stressed out by moving and also nervous to leave all my things in a strange place. Katrina smoothed over all those worries and left me feeling reassured that everything would be okay. I wanted to hug her but I didn't want to make it weird and then I thought about tipping her but I wasn't sure if that was allowed or what a polite amount would be. I may simply one day invite her to my wedding to repay her. I hope she reads this. I hope her bosses are reading this and give her a promotion and a raise. If I could post a lower rating, I would. We returned to our unit after having our first child overseas, prepared to move all of our belongings into our new home. When we opened the unit, we discovered that a large leak in their roof had dumped a significant amount of water into our unit, damaging many of our most prized items and creating mold throughout. Storquests response? They handed us a pamphlet and we didn't hear from them otherwise for any assistance or help, literally not a single call. They knew this was a problem elsewhere in their unit as flooding had happened before ("I didn't know it reached all the way back here"), yet they showed no empathy or even basic human decency in how they handled the disaster their negligence created. We literally had to hand clean every single item we chose to try to save in order to protect our infant son. When we finally were ready to abandon the unit after the insurance claim was completed? They called 3 times in 4 days to try to get their unit back. We saw very clearly where their priorities lie: if I were you, I'd store my belongings at a facility that has some measure of respect for their tenants. This place just wants your $. read more

Clean, secure and professionally run. Beats the nearby Public Storage (which I've also used) away in cleanliness. Also has infra-red cameras all over the place for security. The customer service, aka Luis, is great and super-friendly. In response to the (mostly negative) review from George, I've heard from folks about how this StorQuest was a few years back, but it's now been cleaned up since Luis came along. Also, I have to give him props for timely response - last night the gate fritzed out while I was stuck inside with my car (not a normal occurrence FYI) and I got him on the phone immediately and he drove in immediately and fixed it right up - so the customer service is simply great. read more
