If I was rating this business on the Manager alone, Abe, I would give it a 10. Abe was gracious and efficient and went out of his way to get me the unit that I wanted. He was terrific. The same cannot be said, however, for senior management. One Saturday I was in my unit cleaning and organizing and not bothering anyone. Abe came to me and said that his District Manager saw me on camera and told him to tell me I was there for too long. Apparently, the only customers he likes are the ones he never has to see. This place was recommended to me by someone that was staying with me. Rented a closest basically for $99/mo. The kicker here is that they make you come into the office when you fill out paperwork online, disregard the pin/security code you create, and issue a new one. Also made me buy a disc lock from them because they need to be able to get into the unit if the fire department wants to inspect it(?)? SUSPECT. The lock quality is crap, the key broke off in the chamber rendering the whole thing useless. They also charge you $100 if you are late getting out of the property. I walked out on time, ran back for 30 seconds to punch out of the gate (a requirement) and made it back to the gate before it closed...$100 charge. And they tried to restrict me to no more than 30 minutes within my own unit. Steer clear of this place. Also, they advertise alarmed individual units...they aren't wired that way. Additionally I was told that I shouldn't change my shirt while there because it could lead to "other things" - whatever that means. Been a customer for 3+ years and it's been amazing the man at the front desk is very sweet and kind also very efficient. The storage is also very clean we always see people around sweeping. when there was a security issue they acted on it very fast and made sure the items in the storage were secure they informed us of what the situation was and overall reassured everyone that their items are secure. I have been a customer of BA Storage since 2019. It started when I rented several U-Hauls there since it was close to my location. This experience was always smooth, the staff were all really nice, yet professional. I have also used the U-Haul App with absolutely no problems. Very easy to use. I ending up renting a storage unit there based on doing comparative shopping plus my experience there... The deal was good and the costs are market rate or less. The storage unit areas may be older but they have always been clean and secure. My only complaint is the lack of light in the unit itself but the hallways are all well lit. The staff has been great since at least 2019. I read some of these reviews and shake my head. I can honestly recommend this place 100% to anyone needing storage. I just had a horrible experience at this business. I was in a great space ready to move had everything organized, all I needed to do is pick up my U-Haul. I first walked in with a smile and said hello and the gentleman there started barking questions at me. They seem to be very unhappy people, but I get it having to deal with others trying to move is probably a tough business. They weren't helpful at all and begin yelling at me as I was asking questions they told me to just go to a U-Haul dealer. If you are looking for prompt service and clean facilities this is not the place for you. If you are looking for rude people and toxic masculinity you'll feel right at home. The insurance won't cover it because they say it has to be a break in not a theft! they are working together to steal money and items. This place is an absolute scam. They will charge you for an entire month, ask for a 30 day notice and never check their messages and won't call you back. Super nice when you move in letting you know 30 days is a courtesy and they they do prorate. But will tell you that's not the case. Never, never use this storage, unless you want to get assaulted. The management is so unprofessional and disrespectful, and now, it turns out, chauvinist. (I see someone else mentioned toxic masculinity in their review, and that about sums it up.) I had a nightmare experience today with the very rude main guy. The door to the office was locked, which it's not supposed to be. I guess he was on the phone, but I waved to other guys in the room to come through the window, and no one did, even though we made eye contact through the window. Finally the main guy opened up the door in a very rude way and told me brusquely that I have to learn to wait, and that he was on the phone. l left my license and took the dolly I needed. I said the door should always be open, and if he continued to be hostile to me (he had raised his voice already at this point), I would report him. This caused him to charge after me out the door, yelling he would change the gate code so I couldn't get out. I managed to get away from him, even though he was following me. I called the central office for the first time at that point, and they said he had no right to change the code. I waited at the gate for my friend, and the manager came back out, shouting in my face, refusing to step back, and following me down the sidewalk to continue yelling. Then he tried to block my friend (who was helping me move my bookcase) from entering the parking lot, on the grounds that I was "selling things." Luckily we managed to get in the lot and get the bookcase in the car, but in the meantime the main guy had the nerve to go upstairs and put another lock on my storage. I finally got his supervisor on the phone and he was told to take the lock off, more than an hour later. But I was basically assaulted as horribly as a woman can be without being physically grabbed, which it looked like he was ready to do. What was totally invasive and harassing is that he would not step back or leave me alone. He followed me and shoved his face in mine. I am filing a formal complaint with the company and possibly a police report so that it's on record that he verbally assaults women and gets very physically threatening, even when I told him to step out of my personal space and tried to walk away. He kept calling me "lady" and telling me I had to listen to him yell as long as he wanted. The company did not seem to understand that this guy is walking poison and a legal liability. What he did was absolutely outrageous. No woman should feel safe on the property. read more

If I can give this storage unit 0 stars I would. I kept my stuff here for 2 months until I was able to move into my new apt and I rented a uhaul when I first got there and the day I was leaving. When I was returning the keys I asked the guy, I think his name was Roberto, if there was anything else I needed to do since I'm moving out and he said no. They charged me over $240 and a whole new month after I had already moved out 2 weeks prior!!! I called and the guy was rude to me and said there's nothing they can do since I signed the contract. Was leaving my storage unit at night and got robbed IN THE FACILITY this place is not safe, they have no cameras anywhere (cops were surprised) and the staff was indifferent and rude. Hearing about other units getting robbed and the lack of cameras makes me think the owners or employees are in on the crime. Sundays aren't for BA's starting line up, to some credit-that is to say when it comes to U-Haul rentals. Maybe renting a storage unit is easier but after reserving a truck online and showing up at 1:00 to find a, "We are out to lunch. Back soon!" sign WAS the first sign. But patience is a virtue Dan! Yes, I agree. But explain that to the other customer who returned his U-Haul shortly thereafter and ended up dropping the keys and hailing a Uber. But 30 minutes after a second firm knock, an employee emerged...with yet another sign, a bright red shirt with the word, "STORAGE" on the back and, "HOW CAN I HELP?" to the front. The answer? Leave. Leave now. And never bother with this sub-par Sunday service. Oh, and security is tight. If one employee is on premise prepare to play the "Can you wait outside? I would give no stars if it allowed me or even negative stars... My father passed away and I notified the storage facility before the due date to clean it out. They said I had to wait 45 days and pay over 500 dollars to get into the unit. They finally settled on 250 and a week to go into the unit. I cleaned it out except for a few boxes and a dresser. They wanted to continue to charge me a monthly fee of 189 dollars or pay the 500. They are rude and unprofessional.. Do not ever rent a storage here. read more

As a return customer the way I have been treated by the facility managers at this location has been absolutely despicable. I rented here previously in 2022 and left after leaving the area for a couple months. No issues. I have no idea what happened to this staff but the people that work there now are passive aggressive, lazy, and downright disagreeable. I don't think I've ever experienced such contempt from any staff member at any Trojan storage location EVER. And my error? Apparently even though the storage supposedly has office hours until 6 pm a staff member called me and begged me not to come in after 5pm (when I get off) because "there wouldn't be enough time to process the paperwork". So I'm like okay I'll come Saturday. And they say sorry, we only honor your reservation for four days. And I'm like really? Then as soon as my hold expires on Wednesday they raise the price by $200. So I try to make a new reservation for a smaller unit now that I've been priced out of the 10x15- and finally it's Saturday. I go to the office and say hey, I made a new reservation. They're like under who? I give my name and they snicker and reply "yeah we canceled that, we're not going to rent you a unit" and laugh to each other. I've never seen such disgusting behavior by employees. The management here must be nonexistent. Sad. Because I really enjoyed my previous lease here. CONS: HORRIBLE customer service and NO appreciation for a long-term renter by self-important Site Manager Marco Borjas. After 10 years renting a storage unit, and always paid on time, my rent check was a few days late due to a scheduling error. My LOCAL BANK sent the check on the 7th; BASS claimed to have not received it until the 14th. Doubtful. Very doubtful. BASS returned the check, claiming their "system" cannot accept late payments, so they charged me a late fee of $20, then 5 days later charged me a "preliminary lien fee" of an ADDITIONAL $20. Apparently, Mr. Borjas was too busy and important even to sign the 2 form letters, which were sent via USPS TO AN INCOMPLETE/INCORRECT ADDRESS. AND, although BASS had my telephone number and email address on record, did they THINK of contacting me in an effective manner to resolve the matter reasonably? OF COURSE, NOT. That is not to mention their OBLIGATORY insurance premium of $9/ month, still being charged 5 MONTHS after I sent proof of coverage under my homeowner's policy. (Now, the say they will contact "Frank," the supervisor, to "waive" the insurance. Not, "waive," BASS. CREDIT for 5 months and discontinue hereafter! Get it together. Incidentally, BASS,... DID YOU FORGET about the time the unit next to mine flooded from heavy rains, leaking into my unit and soaking boxes? Did I act like an a**hole? Did charge YOU? Just rented a UHaul truck from this place and will definitely never do it again. They didn't have the best reviews but decided to go with them for location convenience. Big mistake and would have preferred to pay a little more to not have to deal with the staff working there. The staff signing us out was very mean about my little dog, yelled at me to get him off the chair. Could've asked nicely but demanded it. They are completely rude, discriminatory and impatient. The positive reviews on Google are fake as they mention menu items as though they are a restaurant. My husband rented here long before we met and we finally achieved our goal of cleaning out the stuff and cutting down on costs. We had not been back to our unit for 3 years, almost 4 and to say I was nervous going in, is an understatement. It had been such a long time, I didn't know what to expect. Would rats have gotten to our stuff? Would things be missing? You know, typical storage rental fears. Well, low and behold, everything was in tact, nothing missing, things were hardly even dirty and not a rat dropping in sight! I just want to say this is the best storage unit I have ever been too.I have had my stuff here for 3 months now and from the moment I came here Luis took care of my wife and I and was so kind in helping and assisting us. Stanley who I have had multiple encounters with is amazing as well he is always helpful every time I see him whether it's providing me with waters or my wife with waters or grabbing the compliance dahli for us he's great. Zero Stars. Avoid at all costs. I lived on the same street as this company, so upon moving into my apt a year ago--I decided to come in and get some boxes. They were rude, low on supplies, and seemed generally put off by my entering the establishment. I thought "okay, maybe it was a bad day." Fast forward a year later and I went in and rented a storage unit March 27th. I had to be out my apartment by March 31st, I was on a fixed income, so I was planning on putting my stuff in storage and had some housesitting duties to keep me sheltered for a month. After moving out of my place .2 Miles away--I showed up to BA Storage right after the office closed and discovered a lock on my (empty) storage unit. I had a hired mover on hand, and I had rent a UHaul for the day. I called the number posted for issues with after hours needs, and no one called me back. I talked to a woman from a security center and she called the manager and no one responded. I showed up the next day early in the morning and the female assistant manager was no help. I explained the scenario, and she said "if we don't lock up units without locks--customers will put there stuff in there". I said "I understand the possibility of people sneaking stuff into unlocked and unattended storage units, but in this case--it was unlocked and I needed access to it". Her response was "well, you're here now." I explained that I couldn't move in the day before due to their lock, and I had to pay an additional fee for an extra day with the truck, and I had to pay the mover for his allocated time. That due to their lock I was at a loss "of 100 dollars. The unit itself costs me 100 dollars". She corrected me and said "it's only 93 dollars. What do you want me to do?" I asked her for either a bigger unit for the same price, or free rent next month (I wasn't even sure I would be staying an additional month). She said she couldn't do anything without the managers approval. She contacted him, and after an hour they agreed to give me a refund (that doesn't solve the problem of losing nearly 100 dollars due to their lock). She then went on to say "I can't guarantee it'll go to your account now, or in 25 minutes or in a couple hours". I said "do you have a receipt?" She said "no". She said she had to send an email to her boss for his approval. She wouldn't cc me on the email. She finally agreed to send me an email that said "refund for moving out" or something. She called me a couple minutes ago and said "I refunded your account so I'm moving you out". I still haven't received my refund. I had to ask for the managers name (Frank Freeman), and for her to send me a confirmation (an email) that she's refunding me. Again, this is basic customer service stuff. In short: -Super disorganized -Problem could have been avoided with a simple phone call to me saying "the empty unit is unlocked, so we locked it. Come to the office sometime soon so we can open in" etc. They had my number, and email. -very dismissive, and atrocious customer service skills. -as a Spanish speaker--I was taught to not to carry on Spanish speaking conversations outside of the interaction. It's just good etiquette. The employees would discuss who was to blame in Spanish in front of me. And, not included me in the conversation. It's just rude. again, avoid at all costs. And I may have to take these people to small claims court. I'm currently stuck with 300 dollars in the hole, and a rented truck with all my belongings in it. Again, awful, and disrespectful service. Moving is never an easy experience. Avoid these people: they make them more difficult. And, I lost money due to their thoughtlessness and ineptitude Update: this person responded to my review and pretty much blamed me for their lack of communication. I had no belongings in the storage unit. I told them I'd be back on a certain day, and the employees even admitted that they locked it up and forgot that I said I would be back on the day i noted my initial purchase. My issue with BA storage is the lack of accountability, and lack of courtesy. Giving someone a refund due to the fact that they couldn't use the service they paid for (due to their oversight and overzealousness) is hardly a "courteous" act. Also, "not specializing" in something (moving supplies) doesn't change the fact that they didn't have the stuff. Also, a simple phone call... some people call it a "courtesy call" would have sufficed. And, the fact that I had to wait 24 hours for a refund is laughable. I think the manager's response highlighted the blame game they play. Really awful customer service. Again, avoid at all costs!! (And it cost me a lot!) read more

Pretty bare bones place. No elevators, trash cans, or bathrooms. What I'm frustrated with is that I vacated my unit on the 3rd, was charged for the full month on the 4th, then they confirmed my move out on the 7th. The place was clean and nothing left behind. They don't prorate or refund anything so basically I'm paying for an empty storage this month that they will probably fill and make double their money. That's shitty customer service. read more
