The elevator broke and I was unable to move my belongings. I paid for a moving company for that day and I was unable to use it so I wasted my money. The customer service was terrible and only offered a $50 compensation fee. The day costed me hundreds of dollars. Not to mention my travel fee's. Highly recommend not coming here. They had repairmen fixing windows above my unit that broke. I wasn't informed of this until I entered my unit with confusion. Long story short they lied about a burglary taking place and someone trying to break into my unit when that is not what happened. I ended up going through the biggest nightmare with insurance that was provided through public storage. I was informed by them that I had to file a police report since there was a burglary even though it was not my specific unit that was broken into. Public storage is completely fraudulent!!!!! This place kinda sucks we been renting a storage here for over two years instead of giving you a credit or discount for being a loyal customer they continue to raise your rates and it's more than 15% increase. The only good thing is they give you a heads up so now we are definitely considering moving our storage elsewhere. The first time they increase our rate we ended up staying becoz we found a spot much bigger and much cheaper than where we are currently on so we ended up staying. Now another increase seriously you need to change your business practice so more people will opt to stay instead of leaving. read more

This was my first experience at this location. All team-members I encountered were helpful, pleasant and understanding. To start, I unfortunately arrived very shortly before they were to close and was.told I had under twenty minutes to complete my unloading of belongings to my assigned storage on the 5th floor. I thought it was going to be impossible to do so in such a short time frame. Me and my friend weren't able to complete our unloading in the initial time frame given, but we were allotted more time (10 minutes) to complete our unloading. After doing so, we left the facility with everything unfolding without issues. A BIG shout-out to team-member, Stephanie (hopefully spelled correctly) for the extended time in which to unload. I know she wanted to go home as her work day was ending, but I truly appreciated the helpful extension of time to complete the task. read more

It's pretty hard to screw up a storage facility but the 3636 Beverly Blvd location was flooded and closed for more than two months during the rains this winter. There was no rent reduction or credit for the months of no access. In April, without notice, they raised the rent 30%. I tried to call several times but couldn't wait for more than 30 minutes on hold to get through. Mysteriously, the rent went back to the previous amount in May. After several attempts to use the web site chat feature, I got through to talk to a rep and they said that I was granted a rent reduction in May and that I would not receive a credit for the over-payment. The customer service at Public Storage is a joke. We're moving to Farmer's Market Storage. Those guys are great and they don't let the homeless hang around inside the facility. read more

Overall felt ripped off and lied to. I originally signed up for a 5x6. No one told me there would be a huge pillar in the middle of the storage space (so by definition, I'm not getting what I paid for). Even though it shows 2 units available, I was also told this was the only one available. I then asked for a refund but was told I would lose the $24 admin fee?!! WTH! Got two rent increases this year. At the start of 2022, the monthly rate was 183. Albeit I had paid 182 the year prior for part of 2020 and part of 2021. This year, the Public Storage management have decided to increase my bill not once, but TWICE, without justification as to why my unit is being increased for a second time within a few shorts months after the first increase. The first increase happened during the normal period in which Public Storage increased the cost of my storage unit, which is around May or June. It was increased to 220, a 37 dollar increase. Okay, I was fine with that, it seemed reasonable to me. But in just a few short months after that increase, I received ANOTHER notification that my rent is being increased. This time to 308 dollars. So within a span of about five months the cost of the unit increased 125 dollars. Really? I'm not a whiz at math or anything, but this is at least a 70 % increase within a year. And how immoral is it of the management to do this in the middle of a recession and during a time of increasing inflation. So basically what I've learned this year, after being with Public Storage since 2015 that they will increase your rent at random intervals after nearly 10 years of being an on-time paying customer. This is totally immoral and wrong. WTF, Public Storage? So, to any prospective customers reading this: renter beware. The takeaway being, Public Storage management may increase your fees multiple times in a year to unreasonable amounts at random and there's NOTHING you can do about it. It's pay up or find someplace else. Public Storage is basically, like, 'LOL. Fuck you!' during a recession and inflation! Public Storage suck. read more

Unacceptable, Unprofessional, and Inefficient I have experienced disappointment after disappointment using this facility. The storage units are fine, and no one is rude. But the way they run their business is just unacceptable. More often than not there is only one person working in the office. And, if that one person ever needs to assist a customer at their unit or anywhere outside the office, which happens quite often, they lock the office and no one can get in. All three times I've travelled to this location and had to speak to someone in the office. And all three times I waited outside the office for up to 15 minutes not knowing when someone might come back. This isn't a doctor's office or the DMV. There's no reason to keep people waiting like this for so long. Also, their policy for breaking a lock in the event of a lost key is ridiculous. I have to fill out a form to apply to have the lock broken. And then I have to wait up to 3 weeks to have the district manager come by and break the lock. I know it was irresponsible of me to lose my keys in the first place, but I would never have thought I'd have to go through all this. I showed up to have the lock broken, and they didn't even ask for my ID. I could've been anyone asking to have a unit broken into. I don't think I'll jump through their hoops and wait it out. I'll probably call my own locksmith and have this taken care of. Which brings me to the thought, if they'd permit me to bring in any random locksmith from off property, how in the world can they justify making a paying customer wait 3 weeks to get into their locker. Unacceptable, unprofessional, and inefficient. To sum up, if you want to go with Public Storage, use a different location. read more

Do yourself a favor and throw your stuff on the side of the street before you pay this company for storage. After coming to check on my unit this morning I see that the screen gate had been peeled off my unit and at least 5 other units so whoever had broken in was able to jump in to all of the units and take what they pleased. Obviously I was startled, and asked the manager if they could help me out with camera footage, and see when this occurred. She said to call the police, it was wasn't her issue, even though I was paying her for safe storage, and an additional 15$/mo. For insurance... she said cameras didn't work and if they did they did not point at my unit. I cleaned out my storage and told them I no longer wanted to use their terrible service. This ridiculously unprofessional company is now trying to make me pay for an entire months rent, after I had cleaned my unit out, 15 minutes of being open on the 1st of the month. Let's not forget that they had also unexpectedly raised the rates with no warning, by over 50%, less than 3 months into the contract. Terrible, terrible company. read more

I won't ever come to this storage. On my last day that I took out all my stuff the lady named Sylvia was very rude, impolite, unprofessional, mean and with a cold heart to me. She should considerate working in a prison instead of providing great customer service to customers that are going through a hard time. Storing furniture and all of your belongings is not funny. This lady doesn't have a heart for that. I hope she doesn't go through it one day and if she does I hope she reads this and remember how she treated me and other customers. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! Their storage units leak.... (and they won't do anything about it). Went to move my belongings out after 4 months only to discover that many of them had been completely drenched due to leaks in my unit. There was extensive water damage and some very expensive, beloved items are now essentially ruined. Needless to say, I was rather devastated and even more disappointed when my concerns were met with little more than a shrug, even admitting that other tenants belongings had been ruined too. Reached out to the regional manager but Public Storage is refusing to take any responsibility for the damage nor offer any help. So essentially I paid them to ruin my belongings.... Not exactly good business practices, especially considering their prices aren't cheap. The local staff was excellent for my move-in and everyone has been decent enough since, but I CANNOT recommend this place considering the damage to my belongings (and what sounds like a number of other tenants). Save yourself the heartache and store somewhere else!! read more

I'm like there was a little less than a quarter tank when I picked it up.. he says "dont play games with me.." so I m like. you know what?? FUCK THIS! I just finished moving an entire apt and this guy is gonna give me shit about like 5 drops of gas? First off, he is lying not me second off, thats why everyone should just fill it up to full that way there is no confusion.. I called corporate on his ass and they refunded me my money but I always forgot to write a review here. not that it matters though, the other 4 people who went here also had shitty experiences.
