A large oatmilk latte

Best coffee I've ever had. Sad to go back to Northern Michigan. Only went two mornings but it was a great place to work and draw. Also, the black and gold stickers on the cups, with the color of my coffee looked as beautiful as it tasted!

Nice place not too far from the VA hospital, heading north. Parked along the street and walked over. Nice spot to enjoy a great signature latte and do some work. Free Wi-Fi, friendly staff and yummy food. I enjoyed a Hazelnut Latte and Avocado Toast with egg and prosciutto added in Great Combo. I would stop in again.

Egg Sandwich

Great place for breakfast. Stopped in on a weekday morning. No wait. Cute cafe. Food was delicious. Would definitely go back if we lived in area.

Latte and macchiatto

Cool little cafe on Crown. The macchiato was nearly perfect. In addition to espresso, they have smoothies, breakfast sandwiches and the biggest biscotti I've ever seen. Lots of tables if you need to work, with the nicest owners taking care of you. Check out the tree at the counter.

Drinks: 4/5 Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Atmosphere: 3.5/5 What we ordered: - hazelnut iced latte - breakfast sandwich - belgian waffles with fruits Came here one day with my friends for some breakfast food and coffee. Honestly it is a cute place to sit and chit chat or get some works done. The server was really nice and catered towards your needs. Their drinks are great but I was not a huge fan of their food. Will come back to try a different dish/drink

Months ago, I tried this place out and I happened to have a negative experience that day but this is a POSITIVE review. I spoke to the owners and they were apologetic and very down to earth. You can tell they care about their customers and their business. They made things right and when I tried them again this time, the food was great. The service was great. I definitely recommend them for the ambiance as well as for breakfast or lunch if you are in the area. This is family owned and operated. Thanks Teri and Tom! #SupportSmallBusiness

We were looking for a quick bite before heading out of town. Decided to stop by Cedarhurst. We were recommended Egg Sandwich and Waffles. We ended up getting Egg, Cheese, Bacon, Avocado on an Everything Bagel and Belgian Waffles with Fruit and Cream along plain hot coffee. The food was amazing - probably one of the best waffles and egg sandwiches I have had in a while. The waffles had alot of fruit on them and was not overwhelmingly sweet. The bagel on the egg sandwich was soft and the combination of eggs/bacon/avocado were great! The coffee was pretty standard but they were very nice about brewing fresh pot of coffee for us. The only I would say is that food here is pricey. I believe the sandwich was close to $8 after each add-ons.

Really nice cafe. Wish it wasn't Covid time. There was limited seating when we went for americano and a london Fog. I really went for a restroom after throwing down at SallyA's. Bathroom really clean. Drinks were great. Really hot coffee just the way I liked it.

Delicious cup of dark roast coffee.

Best breakfast and coffee in the area. Family owned and operated. Ate there every day during my stay. You will be a happy camper.

It was a good breakfast sandwich and hot cocoa, but $17 seemed a bit stiff for 2 sandwiches and 1 drink.

Blueberry Bliss smoothie is great as are the egg sandwiches and Belgian Waffles, but the best part is, they're pet friendly!

I love this place! Definitely in the running for the best coffee in New Haven, and they're dog-friendly, to boot.

Ask the Community - Cedarhurst Cafe

Is is possible to rent this lovely cafe for a brunch gathering of a few hours? If so, how many does it seat?

Hi Kirsten, As much as we would like to, we really can’t rent out the café for brunch because we are open for business 7 days a week. We really appreciate you thinking of us!

Are dogs allowed inside?

Hi Katherine, Yes they are allowed.

Finding a place to park was miserable. I parked in Sally's Apizza small little lot. Despite the…read moresigns thank goodness I did not get towed! Every person we encountered in Ero Cafe was super friendly! I got a Vietnamese Coffee which was good but strong! I also got a cookie butter iced latte. Now that was Yummy! I used the Bischoff cookie on top to eat the whipped cream. The cup was smeared with cookie butter which made my day! For lunch I had a steak panini. The steak was a shaved steak. The cheese pull I wish I would have gotten a picture of. Along with the panini came a unique salad it was well chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, (another veggie or fruit was in there but I could not tell what is was) and a garlic oil. Im not a big veggie person but this salad was delicious. If someone else was driving or nicer weather for a walk I would for sure go back!

All of the food arrived cold, and our table was initially given the wrong order. After it had already been handled, the staff took it back and served it to another table, which raised serious concerns about hygiene. My cappuccino was also served cold, and the coffee itself was very acidic and not enjoyable. Instead of making a new one, they poured it into another cup and reheated it with the steaming wand--even though I had already taken a sip. That felt unsanitary and unprofessional. Overall, there were multiple issues that suggest poor food handling practices. I wouldn't return.

This was some good coffee!…read more This was our first stop off the train from NYC. We needed a pick me up and energy for that infamous food crawl we were about to get into. So thankful it was in the quiet and quaint neighborhood of New Haven. Such a beautiful area. Very close to all the spots I had bookmarked. Cool coffee shop I gotta say. Spacious and clean. Just the actual vibe alone was relaxing. This is one of those locations where you can actually come sit and not be bothered. Few people inside were working on their laptops, some were just conversing with their friends. The barista was super friendly and worked fast. One thing I noticed and was wowed on was they serve wine as well. I mean how cool is that. Felt like I was at France for a minute, where the cafes serve coffee, tea and qwasonts during the day, and cocktails at night. Very chill. Can't thank them enough for how clean the bathroom was as well. All in all great coffee and service.

There were packaged items, hot items and cold items as well. I ordered a honey lavender macchiato and it was absolutely delicious. They took my order and then called me when it was ready. It was a little bit loud in there so I didn't head her call my name but it was still hot when I went and checked to see if she called me. That was not her fault. I could have stayed closer. You need a code for the restroom and there is only one single stall. The code is on the bottom of your receipt. I really like that each thing lists ingredients and calories. Most chairs were up on tables, but a few tables had chairs down and people sat at chairs in the front. When we went up to the register, my friend got excited because they were playing a song she really liked. The employee told her to "calm down" multiple times in a very rude tone. We bought a piece of cake, it was a bit expensive for a small slice ($7.75) but we noticed a student discount with proof of Student ID. One of my friends had her student ID on her so she showed it, my friends also got excited about the discount and we were told to "calm down" again. Then another employee told us that the discount didn't apply to cake or macarons?? Weird. Seems convenient, since those were the only things left in the case. Anyway, we bought the cake at full price, and my friend went to find forks for the group. She asked one of the employees behind the counter and he very rudely said, "Have you tried looking behind you?" So rude. I asked for a plate to make it easier for us to split the cake slice, and the first employee told me they were closed for eating. No mention of that or signs about it before we purchased. We had to leave with our cake and ended up eating it outside on the street. I'm not happy with this place, it looked so cute at first but honestly not even worth the trouble or the money.
