Beach Day Latte
Mona Jane O.

Cute little house turned into a cafe. Came in on a Saturday afternoon, place was busy with people either hanging out or doing work. Cozy spot. Ordered the Beach Day Latte and it had a great maple flavor and not too sweet. The only downside with this place is there is not parking on site and limited residential/street parking.

Personal favorite these days!! Cedar House is an actual house that they remodeled into a home café! It's super cozy and offers lots of different types of seats. They have outdoor seating in the backyard, but I like sitting inside at the big table in the back next to the kids play area. The service is standard, and they seem to be more reserved and just chill :) They hold small biz markets on certain days of the week and also have prayer meetings on Friday nights. If you're looking for a community as well as a really good café to work out of this is the spot for you :)

What a home-y feel, literally! It is located in an actual home prob turned into a coffee shop. I just parked on lot in Orange circle and walked over. What got me to stop by was their house syrups! I got a vanilla iced latte with almond milk. I'm assuming it's only one size bc they never asked LOL. It was delicious! The only thing that steers me for next time is how steep the price is for a small $7.50, of course with ALT milk. It's in between maybe a Starbucks grande and tall. TBH it's leaning towards a tall lol.

This coffee shop is nice the people working here were friendly I got the iced vanilla latte with foam it was really good you can taste the coffee it has a great taste I also tried some pastries the morning Bun and the chocolate croissant they were good . The inside is spacious with a lot of places to sit they have seating outside in the front with a patio area for you to enjoy your coffee and pastries .

Love the ambiance and the "homey" feel of this place. It's like walking into a well-designed craftsman home and the open floor plan and spacing is great for a play date, work area, or even a grab and go. Parking is limited to street parking. There is an area for little kids to play inside complete with some toys. The stoneware mugs are cute and you can purchase your own. The staff was friendly enough but there is not really anything in the way of protein rich food (except the quiche). Need to go back and try some other things but so far it's a win in my book

Cute little coffee shop located in orange. There's street parking but I wasn't sure if we were allowed to park on the streets, because there were signs that said no parking. So, I decided to walk to the nearby train station where you can park for free as well! The coffee here is good and service is great! It felt like I was walking into someone's home. Great place to chat, study, and hangout!

Delicious almond croissant and my iced Americano. :)

This has become one of my favorite cafes to go to. It feels so warm and welcoming inside. It can get pretty busy but for good reason! The coffee is gooood. I usually buy an americano or a latte. The almond croissant is my go-to pastry! There is a lot of seating due to having places in front, inside and out back! I also noticed a lot of space for little kids to play which I think is great for parents with toddlers/babies. I'll say the only challenge may be for parking but I find that parking at the train station lot for free is nice. Also some of the neighborhood streets work (but pay attention to street sweeping days). Or if you'd like to get a nice little walk beforehand just part down the street at the parking garage. Only a few min walk.

The atmosphere is amazing. The staff is so friendly. Our drinks were so tasty and the croissant was delicious and so flaky. Parking is a little tricky, but definitely worth it.

I love this coffee shop because of the vibes inside. Parking is hard to find if you're trying to park in the neighborhood (a lot of the closer streets are permit only), but you can park at the train station or the parking structure by Orange Circle. They only have one size for drinks and its pretty small so I think they are a little overpriced. The matcha had a very vibrant color but it would be nice if it had more matcha flavor. There is a prayer room and childrens play area too so it's family friendly.

A Victorian Coffee House with a cozy vibe and outdoor patio. Plenty of seating for those wanting to hangout and enjoy your coffee. The staff is friendly and fast with their service. I ordered the Salted Maple Latte which was rich, smooth and creamy. This is definitely a good place to try out, I highly recommend it.

Honey Vanilla Latte & Banana Nut Muffin

If you love the feeling of having a delicious cup of coffee, warm muffin in a cozy home, this is the place for you. So much seating to come and get work done or to hangout with family and friends. They have a cozy spot for you to bring your kids to play on the rug area. We'll be returning.

Vanilla lattes and passionfruit pastry

I've been passing this place regularly on my commute to work and didn't even realize it was a coffee shop until I searched for local cafes near me! It's such a cute place!!! The outside patio is spacious and decorated in a way that doesn't make it feel like you're sitting right on the street. The inside is very spacious but so cozy; it feels like you're inside somebody's home. There's plenty of cozy sofas to lounge in or tables to work at and they're all spaced out nicely. The girls at the counter were so hospitable and friendly, very easy to chat with. The passionfruit kouign-amann was great and so were the lattes. I got vanilla on the side but didn't even need it as the latte tasted great on it's own. I do wish their sizes matched their prices, though. The cups were tiny, but the prices were standard cafe prices.

Cold brew with maple cold foam

Cute and unique coffee shop that looks like a home in a residential neighborhood. Lots of seating indoors and in the front and back patio, and perfect spot to meet with friends or work and study. We went on a Saturday morning and it was lively but there was still plenty of seating and the noise level wasn't too high. We didn't stay long so we parked on Pixley, the street right next to the shop, but beware they are strict with parking, so if you plan to stay a while I recommend parking in the train station lot!

I wish I lived closer! Second trip, and now this is one of my fav OC coffee/tea spots…read more Brought my friend for her B-day on a Sat mid-morning in Sept. The line goes to the door much of the time, but they keep it moving, keep it kind, and the one barista keeps the drinks coming out so quickly that you barely have time to find a seat! It was pretty full again with half studier/workers and half friend pairs/ groups. We happened to come on the day they had a collab for jeans recycling with Madewell: donate a pair of jeans and get a free 12-oz drink from the "taplist" (regular menu list) plus a coupon for 15% off a pair of jeans! What a great and generous promo for a cause. Inside vinyl shops look fun. I am sad that the stationery shop is gone, but still looking forward to bringing my fam to check our the vinyl and fun drinks. The drinks: We came here just for the Fall Banoffee Latte because we crave/miss this British flavor. It was pretty good and a good sweetness, but I think toffee topping or a little more toffee flavor would've elevated it. I actually liked the free pour of Strawberry Swing even better! Green tea with strawberry flavor and a floral touch without bitterness. Had a taste of my friend's Princess Daisy green tea with mango/passion fruit, and it had a bit of bitter/tea flavor, but it grew on my friend's palate with every sip. The food: Only tried the cinamon sugar donut, which was tasty, solid regualr yeast donut topped with ?buttercream frosting and 8 or so cinnamon toast crunch pieces. The add-it-yourself maple drizzle dropper was a fun touch, though might've liked it a tad more viscous if possible (turned out looking like it rained maple syrup on the donut, heh). Plenty of parking on Orange St public parking lot or along that street. Now they charge at the lot, about $1.45 per hour (oh well, better than LA parking). Looking forward to returning! Maybe for the bananas foster matcha (heard good things from friend of a foodie friend :)).

Writing this review AFTER coming in for the 2nd time…read more Nice ambiance. Very classy, balanced, and not too loud. Feels like a great place to start a morning. The cafe is standard and the roast is a little dark (if that's how you like it). Also, what I thought was intriguing (and I ended up liking) was the "build your own toast" portion of the menu. There are "Built" options of things like the T.O.M. (Tomato, olive oil, and mozzarella - which is great with avocado ) and then you can literally have a build your own toast (you choose the bread, toppings, construct, etc.) Really cool establishment and I recommend you visit for a good coffee and toast!

A mere 1.3 miles away, I find this eight year old coffee shop that has its name origins from the German word for bread. Evidently, they have a plethora of baked foods mainly consisting of flour, water and often yeast displayed in full display next to the counter. I asked one of the staff if the shop makes their own bread and she said a local artisan bakery supplies them. They look amazing and they even have gluten-free options! This is a family-owned business that provides a more than suitable area for working on your laptop with WiFi access, or simply enjoying your favorite hot or cold caffeinated beverage, oh, and I must mention that they have premium blends as well for the coffee aficionado! Spacious indoor area that doesn't feel cramped and the exposed ceiling vents, the jazzy beats that is playing at a perfect volume and plenty of potted plants give it a balanced chill industrial vibe. There are tables outside too that's perfect for early morning or late afternoon when it's not too hot. I ordered the Vanilla Latte hot and asked that they fill up my insulated mug instead of the cardboard cup. Even with the steady stream of patrons, I received my expertly prepared brew by their hirsute barista, who gave me "beard envy" (I can only sport a goatee) :D The crew are friendly, conversing with the regulars. I can tell they enjoy working here! I don't come to Orange very often but would definitely grab coffee here again if I'm in the area and would highly recommend this place. This place is doing something right and by mere observation, I can tell they will continue to do so for years to come! Kudos!

Unfortunately, this visit was one disappointment after another. We arrived at 8:30 a.m. hoping for a peaceful coffee-and-breakfast morning. Instead, we accidentally wandered into what felt like a Janis Joplin tribute concert. The music was blasting at nightclub volume--not exactly the relaxing start to the day we had in mind. But surprisingly... that wasn't even the worst part. The food was incredibly disappointing. I ordered the breakfast burrito, and the potatoes were still raw--hard enough to remind me they were once part of the ground.. My husband ordered the French toast, which looked suspiciously like it took a quick detour from Trader Joe's frozen aisle before landing on our table. There's nothing wrong with frozen French toast... unless you're charging $14 and calling it brunch. Another friend ordered the granola with berries. After a few bites, he gave it a skeptical look, pushed the bowl away, and decided breakfast simply wasn't worth the gamble. The coffee was decent , but honestly wasn't worth fighting the neighbors for a parking spot!
