Tanya was an exceptional professional! Prepared, prompt, and positive! Great people and food! Thank you so much!!!!

Wow! What a great place to eat! They grow their own greens & put them on everything! I started with chai tea, and it came with the cutest tea service & a tea timer. I asked for lots of cream & she actually brought lots of cream! The restaurant week special is what I got, and I didn't even finish half of it. I got the wild rice soup & the short rib - both were outstanding, especially the soup! The grits were excellent. My sister got the cutest bowl of fruit with her pancakes & bacon too, and she had apple juice to drink. No geeens on her food ( : The atmosphere feels upscale - nice flatware & dishes, pretty teacups & saucers. Very elegant. And there's a greens growing case on display! Well worth the price!

A very pleasant surprise! Walking in, the decor and the fact it's in a hotel made me assume it would be mid, but we tried many dishes and they were all quite good. My old fashioned was also delicious. The short rib was probably my favorite, and the seasonal pasta was fresh and unique. The service was great and everyone was very nice and attentive.

We had a reservation for a group of 4 to celebrate my friend's birthday. Service was fantastic from the moment we walked in, with welcoming and friendly greeters and servers. We ordered a few things to share since we all wanted to try a few different dishes. We landed on the margherita pizza, which was a tasty Neapolitan style; the seasonal pasta, which had the tastiest pesto and ricotta; the roasted carrots, which were cooked perfectly; and the meatballs, which were the only letdown since they were fairly dry. For dessert, we had the butterscotch bread pudding and chocolate crème brûlée. Both were delicious but the bread pudding was definitely the star of the show. Overall, definitely a spot I'll be coming back to!

We stayed at the JW Marriot and got the "stay for breakfast" package. The food is high end and VERY good. We tried just about everything on the menu during our 5 breakfasts and they were all fantastic! Even better than the food was the service! We had the same server for 4 of our 5 breakfasts. Eloisa is amazing! So friendly and attentive! She treated us like family (the kind you like). She even brought my wife a birthday card on her birthday! We had the opportunity to meet Chef Kunal. What a great chef! He took the best care of us and the food was outstanding! Our favorite items were the cinnamon swirl french toast and the vegan hash. Although, everything was really good! Chef Kunal is very personable and has a passion for what he does. We also met the restaurant manager, Solomon. He is doing a great job as the cleanliness of the restaurant and friendliness of the staff are a reflection of his leadership. Overall, everyone went above and beyond. The three individuals mentioned above definitely have a heart for hospitality and take pride in what they do!

I had read some concerns about service but our experience was great. Chef came by to check in. Our water was filled twice. The wait staff was wonderful and helpful. Breakfast was upscale offerings. Lots of vegetarian options. Illy coffee and tons of teas. Attached to the Mall of America near Anthropologie.

This is an amazing gem hidden in the mall of America. We arrived here after a morning of enjoying the mall of America and it was a lovely quiet refuge amidst the chaos of the mall. The server and hosts were chatty, smiley, and engaging. We were sat fairly quick inside as requested. Our server took our drink orders and food orders fairly quick. The menu was amazingly still brunch (we did not plan for this but were very happy). I got sourdough, eggs over medium, potato's and chicken sausage. I also ordered a green tea. My tea was phenomenal. They had a whole setup, honey, delicious tea, and a way to ensure you don't over or under steep based on preferences. We snuck in at the last minute which I think may be why my chicken sausage was not warm. My friend got an identical meal almost to me and her toast was burnt but we got a new set free of charge and this was greatly appreciated. My other friend got a burger which he raved about. And I stole a few fries which were so so very delicious (highly recommend). My breakfast potato's were pure white potato's but it also included sweet potato's, and purple potato. Overall I would visit here again as the food and tea were delicious. We did wait a bit longer for our ticket than expected as there was potentially a shift change but this was a bit frustrating and the cause of the reduced star.

The food was presentable and good. I just didn't care too much for the sauce that was on it.Beautiful ambiance, and service was quick .

We had ticket to Cirque across the street and gave ourselves about 70 minutes to get dinner here. They ignored us the first 10 minutes and then we got nervous that we might not have enough time and needed to switch to fast food. A server approached us with a "has anyone helped you yet?" Which was to me an indication of an unorganized system. From there, everything went uphill. The service was fine (not overly attentive, but fine.) A manager helped us determine which food would come out faster (you hate to hurry $30-50 entrees) and they did come out in record time. Everything was tasty, especially the Brussel sprouts! The fish was a scant 3-4 oz portion, but it looked and tasted very good. It was fun to sit outside in June (even if the planes from the nearby airport were a little loud. Hey, at least it reminded us to travel!) We'll give them another try on a day when we are in a more leisurely mood. :)

We came here for date night! The mood was romantic.Awesome lighting! The decor is elegant and comfortable. I ordered the braised short rib with white cheddar grits. The short rib was made well. The sauce was flavorful..so much that if this wasn't fine dining.I might have licked the plate. My wife ordered the Minnesota Wild Rice Soup. She was very happy and I agreed that this was one of the best wild rice soups I've had at a restaurant in a long time. We saved room for desert and tried the butter scotch bread pudding. We were not happy with the pudding. It seemed more like French toast.Really light and airy.Bread pudding in my opinion should be dense. The service was definitely top notch. Our server Daniel knows how to treat his customers. He didn't annoy us by checking in too much and made conversation when he could and it was good conversation...not fluff. We definitely want to come back and try some of the other menu items pointed out by Daniel.Cedar +Stones location at the JW Marriott Mall of America is a plus for me.I will be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Cedar + Stone. I was recommended the Garlic Ricotta pizza (with hot honey) and the crispy brussels and they were both great options, although I'd get something else next time. The vibe is cool, although it was little empty due to the time of day I was there. Shoutout to Alex for the best service and for sharing all his amazing fun facts!

Ask the Community - Cedar + Stone, Urban Table

Do you have to pay to reserve the private room? Or is there just a minimum that has to be met? Or even better, is it free to reserve?

There is a deposit for the private room and there is a food/beverage minimum that has to be met. (As of this writing $500 deposit/$1,000 minimum). The deposit does get applied to the food/beverage minimum though.

This place does get busy so definitely keep that in mind. Luckily I made reservations ahead of time so we had a table waiting for us, otherwise we would have been put on a waiting list since it's a small space. They put us in a corner booth which was nice and spacious enough for 4 people so I'd definitely recommend asking for a booth verse a table if you're planning to come with a larger group. The servers are all very friendly and helpful. I appreciated their attentiveness and sharing what they like best, especially for what's in season based on the time of year. The menu has quite a bit of variety too which is sometimes unexpected when you come to a pub-style location. For appetizers we got Onion Ring and Fried Pickles. They were both really good and served with dipping sauces. Definitely both shareable items so if you're in a group they'd be great options! My entree I chose the Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon served with lemon soy marinade, creamy cucumbers, and jasmine rice -- it was SO good!! I loved the creaminess of the cucumbers especially with the rice and than the lemon soy marinade was just a unique touch to the salmon. Toned the flavors down without overpowering acidity. And the salmon was so dreamy, a beautiful pink color that you just knew it wasn't a farm raised salmon. Plus the portion was very generous!! I'd definitely recommend the Alaskan Sockeye Salmon to anyone interested in visiting here. #eatwildsavewild The only negatives (which are more so just knowledge bombs for you): * Restaurant is VERY loud. It's hard to hear because it is one small room that everyone plus the bar is in. I wished I would have took a picture to show what I mean. Just know that if it's an intimate setting you're looking for this is not the place. So be prepared to talk loudly over the loudness and ask "excuse me?" or "repeat that" many times throughout your visit because you're not going to hear everything. * Timed eating. Because this place is a hit with limited seating, once you get a table and complete your meal/payment you'll kindly be asked to leave so that they can clean up and open the table to next in line. Totally get that and am not put off by this at all, but I could see how it could catch some folks off guard especially if you are out for a meal with folks you may not see frequently-- so just keep that in mind. This is not the place to sit and talk post meal. * Parking is limited. Be prepared to walk a few blocks as the road parking in front of the business is pretty limited especially with the other stores and restaurants in the area. Regardless of those few bullets I highly recommend folks visit George & The Dragon. It's a really cool spot and the food was great! Plus theirs a malt shop right next door that looks yummy too, so definitely worth visiting and getting malts after for dessert.

This location is blocks away from my job as well as close to home. I recently looked over the menu and found that they offered quite a few non seafood options that sounded good enough for me. The menu at this location is a bit different than the others. They have some daily specials, HH and even some seasonal dishes. I went with the Tennessee Hot Chicken sandwich and my mom got the Crispy Lemon Chicken. The sandwich was good, wasn't as spicy as I hoped it would be but still good. I upgraded chips to cajun fries and those were good. The Crispy Lemon chicken was okay to me, my mom enjoyed it but didn't like the mashed potatoes it came with. She said they were too lumpy. We also shared a crab cake - still too fishy for me lol, but my mom liked it. I got a raspberry lemon drop martini and it was a bit watered down tasting but I'd definitely go back and try some other options. Our server was really nice and attentive. I was especially impressed with the sausage patties since they tasted homemade. I got a huge meal for just $16 and bottomless mimosas for $15. You really can't beat that! The service was fast and everyone was friendly. Also, the restaurant wasn't too busy on a Saturday, which made it even better. However, they also take reservations if you ever need them. The decor and location aren't super fancy, but it has a cozy hometown kitchen vibe, but the restaurant and bathrooms were very clean, so no complaints there! I definitely will be back and will consider this as a new rotation in my breakfast options.
