If it's the end of the world and you are looking to have 1 last beer... run/crawl past this place and take your chances. $14 per beer is a stretch anywhere, why pay that at a hotel restaurant/bar. The staff was amazing only because they wanted to make you have a happy face before you have your "check please" face. Maybe don't pay rent on bar sales. 6 draft tall beers... bill $94. Come on. We can do better

My work meetings are done for the week and it's time to go home! But first... lunch. So on the way to the airport I did some Yelp'ing and found this place to be highly rated. Cool, so here's how it went. Atmosphere/Appearance: Located deep inside the Marriott hotel near the Mall of America is this hidden gem usually reserved for those staying in the hotel. I'm a super Yelp'er so I'm not afraid to walk all up in a hotel to visit their restaurant even though I'm not staying there. Lol. This hotel has a private lot so you won't have any hassles parking your car. Once inside the main doors you walk straight until you see the entrance to the restaurant on the right. There really wasn't anything special about the decor and it was sort of your standard hotel restaurant. There is a section where you can sit and look out into the hallway if that's what you want to do. Service: Bambo was our server and he took excellent care of us. I have nothing to complain about whatsoever. Food: It was lunch so I wanted something a little lighter so I opted for the Asian Chicken Salad while adding an extra chicken breast. The salad consists of spicy grilled chicken, cucumber sticks, tomatoes, carrots, peppers, almonds, crispy wontons and served with mandarin dressing. It was absolutely fabulous. It was light, refreshing, delicious and full of flavor. I loved it and would totally get it again. Value: My salad ran me $18.00 and an extra $5.00 for the extra chicken. A $23.00 salad is pretty steep, but we're in a Marriott and you know how hotel food gets... In conclusion, I'm glad that I found this place to have a decent lunch before leaving the great state of Minnesota. I will be back!

Burger and fries.

I ordered the cheese burger and for $20.00 what a disappointment a McDonald's quarter pounder would have been twice as good and half the price. No flavor I am pretty sure it was a frozen pre made patty with no seasoning. The bartender was nice made a good cocktail but I would not eat at this place again.

Blackened walleye

I thoroughly loved the food here. I asked if I could switch my side dishes to the ones that came with the salmon and the waitress did exactly that. I got the blackened walleye with rice, veggies and buerre blanc. It was the most perfectly cooked fish I've had in a long time. Service was great too.

I don't usually eat at Hotel Restaurants. Only in certain circumstances where I arrive late at night and I'm too tired to go out or way too hangry to order delivery. So I came, I ordered to go and I got my food. The ahi tuna was pretty good. I couldn't eat meat that night since it was the Lenten season, but the salad definitely hit the spot. The balsamic dressing was really bity as well, which I like btw. Service was pretty good. We were well taken care of. But just a friendly reminder before I sign off. Make sure you ask for a proper menu from inside the restaurant. There's a lot more to select from in there than the one on display outside of the entrance. Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!

Fantastic restaurant inside of the Marriott by the airport! Got in on a later flight and went for a few drinks and met Cheryl! She was fantastic! Had breakfast the next morning and had great customer service and very good food!

I asked for extra veggies with my hummus, after eating nothing but down home Minnesota cheese curds, pancakes, beer, etc etc all week!!!

This restaurant is inside the Marriott Hotel (near the airport)....I missed my flight so Southwest paid for me to stay here. The people at this restaurant made me feel so welcome and so well taken care of! I was shocked at how quality their menu is---and wine selection! What a high end restaurant for being inside a hotel---I was super impressed. Mary waited on me twice and went out of her way to bring me a huge spread of veggies with my hummus plate (I told her I had been eating "nothing but cheese and meat for four days".... I'll be carrying back this spirit of kindness and genuine hospitality with me back to my own salon, where I also serve people all day. It takes a lot to show up and just be kind day in and day out---but this level of service, combined with high quality food/drinks, makes this place shine above the rest!

Chicken piccata

I needed a solid meal after a long day of traveling. There were several dishes that appealed to me on the menu, but I settled on the chicken picatta with a Caesar salad for dinner. It came with warm rolls, and the server offered extra sauce with the entree which was nice. Everything was delicious and fresh. Not your typical hotel fare. The atmosphere is fine dining, and the servers were knowledgeable about the menu and wine list in addition to being very friendly and attentive. The prices might be a little on the high side, but I was able to make 2 meals out of my entree. My friend had the boneless wings and really enjoyed them as well.

The food was good, but the waiter gave himself a 30% tip when I paid in cash. It created a very uncomfortable situation.

Prices are average, service is great. My friends loved their meal, I liked mine. I ordered the prime rib hash and it had great chunks of beef and two perfectly poached eggs. However I felt that it was a little too greasy for me. Thank goodness that I asked for the hollandaise sauce on the side, otherwise with the grease, it would have been way too rich. Some parts of the beef were chewy and some gristle. One friend ordered the strawberry French toast and it was HUGE! They were generous with the whipped cream too. Another friend ordered the roasted vegetable omelette that came with a side of hash browns and toast. They enjoyed it but it was on the smaller size. It's a large restaurant with plenty bar seating and clean restrooms. There's a shared small parking lot with the hotel but there's also a parking ramp too. It's right across the street from the MOA.

We arrived for an early dinner, just before 5pm. Only one other table seated so we expected quick service. Our server Jaden seemed to be the only server there. We were passed by several times and finally greeted and our beverage order taken. The mulled sangria was so bitter, I do not recommend ordering this $16 drink. We orders the truffle fries to start our meal. Best part and the highlight of our experience...fries. The filet was tough, it was hard for me to watch my husband cut his steak with the knife due to the sawing motion (we ordered it medium). The $18 side of garlic shrimp that we added onto the $58 steak were just ok. Beautifully presented but also mediocre was the short rib. While super tender it lacked flavor and depth even w the Demi glacé. Grits and micro greens surrounded the short rib which were also flavorless and a bit "sticky" in texture compared to other grits I've had. My guess is they were overcooked. We skipped dessert and any other cocktails as we decided to peruse other venues at the MOA who offered holiday cocktails. Disappointed that Cedar + Stone didn't have any holiday offerings and weren't able to craft any from their bar staples. The restaurant is modern in decor, tables offered privacy and ample space but the timing, attentiveness and execution of our meal fell extremely short. No great views and nothing remarkable about the inspiration for design here. Overall, we were disappointed we chose this restaurant for our "staycation" dinner (as kid-free nights to dine out are a rarity for us) and we were really looking forward to trying out the menu. Maybe we caught them on an off night, but given the lack of diners at the restaurant I'm not sure how/why they couldn't deliver.
