The staff was friendly but the food was not good. I ordered the cheese curds as an appetizers, which were delicious but is fried cheese so hard to mess that up. I got the ribeye and it was one of the worst steaks that I have ever had. I ordered medium rare because i understand that by the time i get to eat it it will probably end up being medium. But that steak was medium well, the taste of the meat was not good , so it could have used some seasoning to compensate for it and the sauce provided was pretty bad too. Staff was friendly, which I appreciated. The menu is pretty underwhelming, very touristy bar-and-grill type food. Honestly, I should've known what I was getting into. The kitchen was painfully slow. I ordered a grilled salmon cesar salad and it took close to 30 minutes. When it finally arrived, it was just okay. The salmon was bland and overcooked, and the rest felt very Sysco generic dressing, cheese, and croutons. I was so hungry by the time it came out that it still tasted great in the moment. I had the cedar plank salmon. The salmon was seasoned very well but it was a touch over cooked in my opinion and because of that it was dry. The corn and potatoes were also well seasoned. I'm not sure if it's intentional but the potatoes were kinda lumpy. My wife had the tortilla soup. She said it was "ok" very tomato forward and could use some more herbs and spices. The restaurant was very clean and well decorated for this style of restaurant and our server Joseph was amazing. I would definitely go back and try some other dishes. read more

Perfect spot to grab a drink and recharge while exploring Mall of America. We shared their variety platter -- the cheese curds were amazing, the meatballs added some good protein, and the chips with queso were delicious. I met up with a few friends and we wanted to try something new. Didn't know what to expect coming here, but when we walked in, we were met with a huge dining hall with a few customers enjoying their meals. There was a big bull that people could ride which was fun to look at. The lighting was also pretty dim but added to the experience. We ordered cheese curds and a few burgers. We all agreed that the curds tasted great but mixed feelings on the burgers. I personally thought it was under seasoned and just seemed a bit bland. One of my friends really liked theirs while another friend said it was just okay. We also got some cocktails which were great. Updated review! I have continued coming here over the years and always have a good experience! The vibes are fun, the food is tasty, and the service is typically pretty good. On today's visit, we were not greeted by the host. In fact she looked pissed to be there. I interacted with her a second time to get another kids menu and she seemed super annoyed, wouldn't make eye contact and didn't smile. Definitely not the kind of person you want greeting people into your restaurant... The vibes in here are always good! Lots of tvs, the music is good and they have a bull you can ride! Our server was sweet. It was a very busy Saturday, so it did take her a second to get our drinks refilled but I also understand it was busy. She was friendly and did make sure our order was correct. The food! I got the fish tacos and 1/2lb of chicken wings (4 wings). The fish tacos are one of my faves. Just good flavors and textures! I got a smaller order of wings because I got the tacos too but I believe they go up to 2lbs. Their buffalo is delicious! Good heat but not too crazy! Minnesota approved! My boys enjoyed the grilled cheese and fries. Large kids portions, so my 9 and 5 year old share. I forgot they have a weird assortment of fries... I wish they would pick one and stick to it. We dropped in here for something to eat while we were doing last minute Christmas shopping. There was plenty of seating and our service was good. We started with the nachos which we all enjoyed. My son asked for his burger mid-rare and it was definitely a little too rare. My husband's steak tacos were good but I wasn't super impressed with my shrimp tacos. There were lots of games on and you could watch them easily from our seats. Some younger guys tried riding the mechanical Bull which was entertaining. Fun place for drinks and lunch! To the chagrin of my fiancé, we were at the Mall of America while visiting MN. I decided to try and make him smile by finding a good place in the mall for lunch...and tada! we found CR. It has a riding bull in the center of the restaurant, and the hostess said she held the record of 38 seconds on the fastest setting!! Impressive! We decided to skip the bull and go straight to booze and food. I had the fish tacos, which were perfect. Four tacos! Grilled and blackened fish, crunchy cabbage, a bit of spicy jalapeño, and salsa on the side. My fiancé had a giant plate of BBQ wings with a salad (trying to be healthier?) and my son had a Nashville, hot chicken sandwich. Everyone was super happy with the food. For drinks, I had the watermelon margarita and my son had the Orange old fashioned. Both were delicious. I'm not sure what was worse, the service or the food. Our waitress took the orders of 3 tables that came in after us before taking ours. Everything we tried to order they were out of so we had to try to figure out what they did have which irritated our waitress. Then she forgot our appetizer and said she was sending her manager over when we were finally able to catch her and ask if it coming. We didn't want the manager, we wanted our food. She brought them out and they were cold. Then our food came. Mine was completely messed up and tasted awful. My daughter was served cold pasta and melon and told they were out of all other fruit. At that point the manager came over and very awkwardly stood at our table trying to make small talk. We hadn't complained because at this point we were here for almost 2 hours and just wanted to leave. Bellies full or not. He then doubled back and said he was taking my meal off because it was clear I wasn't eating it. He took the appetizer off and that was it. We visited here for the first time on Christmas Eve. The staff was really friendly and welcoming. The decor was also rich and warm. There weren't many people in the restaurant and we did have to wait a length of time for our food to come out. The problem for us was the cost. We odered 2 beers, 2 shots of Jack and 2 taco orders. I've been to CR a few times in the past but many years between visits. Went recently for HH and they had pretty decent offerings. I went during the week and the mall wasn't as busy as I thought it would be despite it being right before the holidays & winter break. The restaurant was pretty chill. I like the rock-n-roll theme. We ordered from the HH menu, supreme pizza (my mom), chicken tacos, fried pickles & drinks, the Rock-n-Roll Kool Aid & Georgia Peach Crush. My mom enjoyed the pizza, she said she really liked the crispiness of the pepperoni. The tacos were different. More of a wrap vibe. It was tortilla filled with coleslaw, shredded chicken topped with cheese and an avocado slice & a side of sauce/salsa. They were okay but probably wouldn't order them again. For the HH price they do give out generous portions. The Georgia Peach Crush was better tasting than the Kool aid drink but overall they were both just okay. Our waitress was also the bartender. My wife and I came in about 1:30 pm today and sat at the bar. The bartender could have cared less we were there. The food was the worst! I ordered the Cadillac Burger. The lettuce and tomato were on the bottom bun with the hamburgers patty on top. As you can guess the bottom bun was soaked and awful. The hamburger patty was previously frozen, unseasoned and not cooked well. The sweet potatoes fries were soggy and the portion was half what it is at other restaurants. Just avoid it. read more

Decided to stop at Cadillac ranch while visiting mall of America because I wanted to try a Juicy Lucy. It was pretty busy but I was able to be seated near the bar quickly. I ordered a MANGO MOSCATO SANGRIA and JUICY LUCY USDA Choice | American | sautéed onions | pickles | medium-well. Now, I was told to try the Juicy Lucy at the original location ( Matt's bar) but there was no time so I was hoping Cadillac Ranch would not fall short. The Juicy Lucy was delivered to me by the manager whom advised to be careful how I cut the burger because there have been instances where the cheese shot out. Now the juicy Lucy is a burger with cheese in between two patty's. I did a horrible attempt at cutting the burger BUT no cheese escaped and caused a scene. The place reminded me of Cowboy Jacks if I'm being honest, but its all good. Server got us waters and we ordered some pretty simple dishes. My burger was ok but the bottom bun became soggy quick, my fries were of all different cuts which was super weird. It was almost like they dumped the bottom of the fries in my mental cup and served it. My son's flat bread was cut like a 8-slice regular pizza. We hadn't been to Cadillac Ranch in a while, but had a fantastic experience overall. I had the Spicy Shrimp Tacos, my mom had the Fried Seafood Platter, and they were both awesome! The overall vibe of the restaurant is clean, a modern vibe, and the service was impeccable. Our server, Shawn, was probably one of, if not the best I've ever had in a restaurant setting. She was very attentive, brought extra tartar sauce for my mom, a fantastic conversationalist and human being. She was telling me about her travels, her background, and was overall an extremely pleasant person.
