We were forgotten about a few times, but eventually managed to order some small bites, including a charcuterie board and some pretty yummy cheese curds. When we finally caught her for our second round, I complimented her glasses since they were similar to mine, partially in an attempt to cheer her up. I was met with a glare and a mumbled "thanks." When she walked away, all four of us kind of looked at each other like... dang, we're not sure what we did. Having all worked in service ourselves, we try to be respectful, stack our dishes, wipe up after ourselves, and generally make things easier where we can. Oddly enough, when it came time to pay, she returned with a completely different attitude... suddenly cheerful, friendly, and telling us to have a great night. Fear not; you can park on the west side of the building, also an overflow lot right there as well, a few spaces on the street in the front or across the street from there is designated parking. I entered through the west side of the building that noted Lucky's, fear not, when I entered and told the host I was looking for the Mudd Room she gave me precise directions to get downstairs! Once downstairs I came upon the nice single toilet ladies room. I proceeded in to the bar, asked the blonde bartender where the music would be? She pointed to the stage @ the end of the bar and said it could be loud right by the speaker so she'd recommend sitting a few tables away. She said the parties near the stage were tabbing out if I wanted to sit there? I said I would take a seat @ the end until they were through. Shortly after I sat down the very friendly brunette server brought me a glass of ice water... thanks! She remained attentive all night, filling my water three times. Despite not looking over the menu she was very thoughtful when she popped by just to say it was last call for the kitchen, did I want anything? I meant to get the gals names, I did not, sorry. Music wasn't too loud; the acoustics and lighting were great since the speakeasy is already dimly lit. I don't anticipate this was my last visit; very much looking forward to catching another gig here or meeting friends for drinks! They are all very quick and friendly. Special requests for something specific is welcomed as well. They also have a large buffet for salads and sides. In addition, there servers will come around providing an assortment of appetizers. Here's what to expect: - You are given a card to place on your table. One side of the card is green and the other side is red. The green card lets the servers know that you are still dining and waiting for the different cuts if meat to come to your table. The red card means you see taking a break or are done dining. You get to flip the card whenever you are ready. - You can make special requests for your choice of meats to be served to your table. You can also make special requests for any appetizers you would like: plantains, mashed potatoes, fried corn bread. - If you're celebrating a birthday, mention this to your server and you can get a complementary dessert!
