My partner and I came here with his younger brother and the experience was wonderful! The food was delicious, I got the seafood cajun pasta and the blueberry moonshine margarita-which was amazing and got me quite drunk for not tasting like alcohol. My partner got the garlic bacon burger, which he thought was fine but I loved the couple bites I had of it. His brother got the chicken tenders which he loved. The service was amazing. I don't remember his name, but he had an accent and was very attentive and friendly, cracking some jokes when I was especially drunk which really added to the experience. This shrimp salad was no longer on the menu menu so we got the fish tacos instead. She loved them! They were too hot for me and had really good flavor. Saturday, we met some friends for dinner. I'm not thrilled about the menu as I'm not a seafood person, but my daughter and I enjoyed the fried pickles appetizer and I got a side salad. I ordered a beer in a Jimmy Buffet Day glass and my daughter got the drink in a bucket (can't remember the name). The bucket drink lacked alcohol. But, overall, food access service was ok. Sunday, my daughter and I sat at the bar at 6:45. Even though the mall closes at 7, the restaurant closes at 9. At 7, someone was told last call happened 15 minutes prior, we had no idea. But they served them anyway. Apparently when the mall closes, they can't serve alcohol. But they kept serving at the bar. People trying to get a table in the restaurant after 7 were told they're closing soon so they left. When the manager was finally out front, she was seating guests. Long story short, it was just a mess. Oh, and someone was trying to purchase merch, but they said only the manager could do that and she might be done with that. They got her and the items were purchased, but the customer waited 15 minutes. Just seemed like the employees were being lazy and trying to get out early. Desserts were good as well as the drinks. Our bartender didn't let us know she was leaving or going on break, but we were pretty much ignored. Would I return? I don't know. Definitely not towards the end of the day. read more

We had a 6:30 reservation for a party of five at Margaritaville in the Mall of America, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. Our appetizer arrived, but we had already finished it before half of our party even received their bar drinks. At one point, someone in our group had to get up and refill our own waters because our server hadn't returned in over 15 minutes. The alcoholic drinks still weren't there. When our entrées arrived, they were not hot, and no one at the table really enjoyed their food. Our server came back once, but not until we were already well into the meal--too late to mention cold food. She removed a plate but didn't ask about boxes or offer dessert. We waited, expecting her to return, but she never did. Eventually, we flagged down another server to try to locate ours. By 8 p.m., after being largely unattended, someone in our party finally approached the manager. Unfortunately, she was standing at the bar laughing with employees and didn't offer any real solution. She gave a quick "sorry," but it felt dismissive and insincere. To add context--it wasn't even a busy night. It was a Thursday evening with no more than seven tables seated in the restaurant at once and at least three servers on the floor. Having worked as a server and bartender myself in corporate restaurants, dive bars, and mom-and-pop shops, I understand what service should look like, even on a slower night. Came here on a Saturday with a reservation and a party of 6 plus 3 children. My Paloma was great and very strong, but not terribly strong where I didn't want to drink it. My son loved his parakeet punch in a light up souvenir cup. Also, upgraded his kids meal and it was served in a pirate ship, got a light up pirate sword and an ice cream sandwich! Highly overpriced for mediocre food and poor service. the place was not busy at all, but we waited to be served, waited for drinks, waited for our order to be taken. Food came out at all different times and the steak that was ordered medium rare came out well done. Waiter took the steak back to the kitchen and to talk to the manager, but did not come back to give us an update. Had to hunt down the waiter and when the bill came they were going to charge us for two steaks. By this time, everyone else had finished their meal and the person who ordered the steak left to get dinner elsewhere. Definitely will not go back. Bummer! read more

It felt like a food court version of Margaritaville. The TVs in the bar and the patio weren't on even though it was night one of the World Series. Southwest chicken salad was fresh and yummy, the rest felt disappointingly standard. My margarita was really weak and watered down. Went to Margaritaville with a friend of mine on a Monday around 1:30pm. The restaurant was mostly empty but we were told it would be a 25 minute wait. I assume this was because there was not enough staff to handle more tables so it wasn't really a problem. Once we were seated we got waters right away though my friends pina collada took longer than our food to arrive. It was fine. We ordered the chicken quesadilla and the appetizer platter. I really liked my quesadilla aside from the chicken inside. I took one bite of the chicken and had to pick it out- it was mostly dark meat which I don't like. It was a terrible texture. My friend enjoyed her appetizer platter though! Like other Margaritavilles they had a volcano warning at some point during our meal but... they don't have a volcano at this location so the ambiance was a little weird. Still kinda fun. I'd probably not go again but it wasn't the worst place I've eaten at MoA. read more

Had a very attentive waiter who was quick with order and delivery. Sis had typical chicken fingers and fries with BBQ sauce. I wasn't in the mood for a big meal, so I settled for Southwest Chicken Egg Rolls. They were HOT. Had to wait 10 mins or so for them to cool off enough to eat. Nothing too extraordinary that sets them apart from Chili's or Walburgers. Maybe another time, if I was hungrier, I'd try something more appropriate like surf n turf.
