- CRAVE at Mall of America I stopped at CRAVE late on a Friday night while visiting the Mall of America. I was dining alone and was seated immediately at a high-top table in the bar area. The bartender greeted me right away, brought over a menu and water, and explained that the three bartenders working that evening would be helping guests as a team. One bartender handled most of my service, while food runners and other staff assisted as needed. The system worked very well, and I never felt overlooked. I started with the Smoky Peach Old Fashioned, which was very good. CRAVE offers sushi along with a wide variety of other entrées, so I decided to order the spider roll and the chicken bao buns. Both were excellent. The spider roll was fresh and flavorful, and the bao buns were another standout that I would gladly order again. One small detail really impressed me. I had been walking around and staying busy throughout the day, so I went to the restroom to wash my hands and freshen up. When I returned to my table, the bartender had a hot towel waiting for me. I was not expecting that level of hospitality from a restaurant inside a shopping mall, and it made the experience feel much more polished. My water and drinks were consistently refilled, the food arrived quickly, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Overall, I had an excellent experience. The food, drinks, and service were all strong, and the thoughtful attention to detail made the visit especially memorable. I would absolutely return. read more

This Crave is located on the 3rd floor of MOA. I went around 3:30pm and they were only serving dinner at this point. Pros: They have a variety of different food options ranging from pastas, fish dishes, and burgers. They have a lot of seating. The burger and fish and chips were great! Service was also pretty quick and staff were nice. Cons: It can be noisy and so was difficult to hear what other people were saying. I would not recommend the poke bowl. I am from Hawai'i and so I am used to eating very good fresh fish. The fish used in the poke bowl did not taste fresh and the vegetables they put in it didn't have any flavor. read more

My mom and I went to lunch today while shopping at the Mall of America! We ordered our Staple Faves from Crave Restaurant . We got Firecracker Shrimp and The Bison Burger with Caesar salad as the side. You have a choice of fries or truffle fries as options as well. This burger comes with a fried egg on top,fried onions, mushrooms, and Cheddar cheese. I order it without egg so it is not in the photo. The sauce shown is blue cheese dressing. Went to the Mall of America location due to advertising- kids eat free! Salad was fresh and poke tuna was good. Service was a bit slow for a Wed night- place was packed. Ambiance is family friendly. We had a booth to ourselves and felt private even though there were many guests. Waitress was very friendly and even gave the kids a fruit cup since the wait was so long for just getting the order. Once order was made- food came out fairly quickly. Overall great value compared to other places in the mall thanks to the kids special. read more

This is our favorite Crave location! The staff is always friendly and helpful. We always sit at the bar and enjoy the interaction with the bartenders. The restaurant has a cozy warm feel. We came here around 2 on a Saturday and had about a 20 min wait which wasn't too bad, they took your number and texted you when the table would be ready so you could walk the mall while you wait. Once we were seated our orders were taken and food came out quickly! Everything was as ordered and tasted great! Went to the Mall of America location tonight and it was overall bad. My one son ordered Salmon and the rice it came with was dried out and hard. The broccolini was burnt and tasted weird. My Kingkong roll was not as good as it's been in the past. This place is too expensive for bad quality food and the server never asked us how the food was once. We went at noon on a Thursday and were able to get right in. Food: 3/5. We got the "harissa dry rub wings" as you can see from the picture they were not dry. They were more of a salty lime flavor than a flavorful harissa in my opinion. The mac and cheese lacked cheese and has no seasoning, and the sushi was overall okay. The peanut sauce on the veggie roll wasn't my favorite, and the avocado on the crunch roll was oddly mushy and not what you'd expect from a hunk of avocado. Service: 4/5. We were sat right away and given water. Our waiter made sure we had what we needed but wasn't overall personable. Ambiance: 4/5. We sat at one of the windows that looked out on the mall. It was a nice wear for people watching. Overall a more pricey option for MOA. It is a nice place for families that like different things and want something a little higher scale. Last week I visited crave at the galleria and the service was excellent! We were seating quickly and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Our group was quickly waited on and drinks were amazing! We ordered the fries to share with the table and they were perfectly cooked and great flavor. I ordered the King Kong roll and it was definitely one of my favorite rolls I have had at crave! I highly recommend it! I will definitely be back because it was the perfect vibe and the decor was very welcoming and warm! The manager even came to check on us to make sure everything was great which I appreciated! We were really grateful that at least ONE restaurant in the mall was open past 9 (visiting for a weekend event and stayed near the airport/mall), so that alone is worth a star. I was determined to try walleye, per internet instructions on local cuisine, and the one I had at Crave was absolutely fantastic. Tender, flavored to match the delicateness of the fish, and accompanied by solid mashed potatoes and carrots. Really nice dish! That said, the other dishes on our table were fine. The ambience was actually nice, too: family-friendly but not kitschy or childish. Overall, it's about what you should expect from a restaurant in a giant mall, except for one thing... it needs to be much cleaner. Crusty dishes that were obviously rush-washed. A solid choice if you like texture in your sushi. Volcano Roll - A tasty roll with bits of scallops sprinkled on top of a snow crab base. Flavor-packed and satisfying. Artichoke Dip - Really enjoyed this! Creamy with generous chunks of artichoke hearts throughout. Rigatoni Vodka - This one was just okay. The flavor was there, but it felt a bit dry and could have used more sauce. Mediterranean Chicken - Two large, well-seasoned chicken breasts over rice with a creamy sauce. Very flavorful and filling. We went to crave on a Saturday at lunch time. The service was great. Everyone was very friendly. Our server was great! She checked on us and was soo nice. The bathrooms were really nice. The restaurant is very large and depending where you're sitting you'll forget you're at the MOA. We got truffle fries as an appetizer and they were very good. I got the pink panther roll and it was very big. It was light and flavorful. My husband got the crave burger. He said it was very juicy however he did not like it. Prices aren't too bad. We were seated just inside the door. It is a cute looking place, but not overly impressive. It seems a bit over priced for what they offer. The food was okay. Nothing spectacular. The sushi roll seemed a bit off to me, but the others at the table said it was decent. The peach flat bread was good, although the peaches were cut in to chunks (giving the appearance of canned diced peaches), rather than slices to create a more complete bite. Ordered shrimp tempura roll that had two tails of tempura that's it, fries came out warm and crispy chicken avocado egg rolls were gross. They were not crispy , avocado brown and you can tell they were previously fried and warmed up in microwave. The drinks from the bar were good. After my flight was unexpectedly delayed, I decided to dine alone at Crave. I was seated and visited by the manager after perusing the menu for about 2 minutes. He stated that my server was delayed briefly due to helping clean a spill at another table. He offered to take my drink and appetizer order, while offering to answer any questions about the menu. As soon as he left, my server, Tara greeted me too. I appreciated the attentive service provided throughout my meal and the food was good. I also enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and hardly noticed it was inside the mall. I only ordered an appetizer and a salad this time, but I will be back! Had a date night at the Mall of America and chose Crave for our dinner spot. It was busy on a Friday night and we ended up sitting at the bar which worked out great. Service was excellent. The food is decent, I'm always happy for any gf options at the mall. Where we were sat was right under a super strong fan blowing air right on us so I was freezing and when I sprinkled ghost pepper powder it was blown into my eyes which sucked, but they were super nice and checked in on me and offered to get me a wet towel or something to try and help. Not really their fault I love spice- but that air flow is a little intense! Service was great though, husband liked his sushi, the pasta I got was pretty tasty just feels like a pretty small portion for over $20. We have always loved our experiences with CRAVE and this location in particular. We always have to come to CRAVE when we are in Minneapolis because my husband loves their sushi. He always says it is the best sushi he has ever had! I got the flatbread pizza this time and it was very tasty. From past experience I also recommend the lemon garlic chicken, it is so tasty!! They also have amazing drinks. I would recommend the pineapple mojito! We have done both sit down seating as well as take out from this location and have had good experience with both. There was a 20 mini wait for dinner....to be expected. Once we got seated I thought for a restaurant inside the mall it was actually super cute. You have the head chef running the food line, the servers were super nice. Even the manager came by and checked in on us and quick chat. The crb and lobster tower was really good and was super excited to get my meal. Now I'm not sure if it was bc I was tired or not feeling that great but for the price of this dish I expected better. Thought maybe the salmon was going to have some amazing flavor but it was just a typical grilled salmon. Pasta was a bit on the oily side. Capers and the artichoke were a nice addition to the meal. Sadly there wasn't much of the burr blanc sauce so the pasta was oily instead of having a sauce. If I was in the area longer I would probably come back and try something else. I have been sick and this is my third day, I USUALLY go the the one in Rosedale mall. But when I first walked in I knew it was going to be a problem. Dishes where dirty most workers looked a mess and not at all clean it like the workers in Southdale. Food was no taste and super greasy. If you want craves go to Rosedale. The one gave me food poisoning. Customer service was great, although she had her hair looking crazy and not clean looking, she was very sweet. I will never go back to this one. read more

Husband commented that it tasted sweet. I let the server (who was very kind) know that it wasn't good, but then her response was that sometimes that it gets salty at the end of the day. Um, so what else back there is just sitting and shouldn't be eaten? Sushi was just ok. Flatbread was just ok. The sweet potato fries were terrible, completely over seasoned with pepper and inedible. Our server was lovely, but I was disappointed in the food - it claimed to be full of flavor and spice and it was neither (Vegan rice dish).
