Love the build your own salad bowls! I had the spinach, arugula, and broccoli slaw with a bit of basmati rice. Topped it with all the fresh veggies, grilled chicken, crazy feta, and hummus. I love the harissa, garlic, and skhug sauce. Some of the ingredients are a bit salty so you might ask for the sauce on the side. I ordered a side of pita chips, which were partially soft, I expected full crunch. They had plenty of seating inside and service was quick and easy. Finally got to try this place. We ordered to go. 5 stars for the food, subtracting 2 stars for the portions and attention to detail, but adding 1 star back for the post-meal customer support. Food is excellent, we ordered a bowl and a wrap and I can see what the hype is about. The problem we encountered is similar to what others have posted. The portion size was disappointing. As you can see from the picture, they do not pack the bowl. Also, we ordered half chicken half falafel, and they forgot the falafel. Customer service was able to give me a $5 credit within an hour, which is great support. I'd definitely come back, but will check my food before leaving. read more

Brand new location opened in Brea so had to try it of course. Emily was the girl that helped take our order my friend and I went to lunch before our kids got out of school. Decided to try this newly opened location, we had this once and I remember it being so good! Ordered the kids plate since I know I can't finish the whole thing. Got the chicken, with white rice and hummus, my friend got the same. You can choose two sides although they weren't sure if it came with one or two lol. But they were so slammed busy when we came in. It's pretty spacious and there is enough tables inside and outside to have your meal. You can choose the toppings and sides or dressings you want. The green one that was sort of spicy I wish I took a picture of it but wow it was sooo good!! All of it the pita chip's they are crunchy and a bit salty, you can dip them in the hummus or whatever sides you end up choosing or dipping sauce I should say. It's really delicious and healthy food. Filled us up and not too expensive either. The drinks were off brand soft drinks, they also have a delicious lemonade and a few others to choose from. Traveling for work so I wanted to try and get something healthy. Got cava delivered to the hotel. I don't actually think this healthy but it feels like it is. Cava always tastes the same no matter what you get. It's a blob of stuff jammed into a bowl with sauce all over it. It never tastes great that's for sure. Delivered on time and the order was correct. First time trying this chain. The line here was very long but it is a new location. I got a bowl with brown rice, lentils, braised lamb, and hot harrisa vinaigrette. The food was surprisingly very good for a chain. The only complaint I have is that the staff should notify their customers when they run out of items because it would suck to wait 45 minutes just to find out they don't have what you want. read more

Really enjoyed my lunch at Cava in Brea! The food here is fresh, tasty, and high quality. I enjoyed all of the options that they give you in a build your own bowl. I tried the honey harissa chicken and the braised lamb. Both of the meats were very delicious, the lamb was the standout for me in terms of flavor. I also really enjoyed their drinks with fresh cucumber limeade and a variety of natural sodas. The service was a bit slow, but I think it is because they just opened up. Recently opened, so I understand that it is busy and things are missing. Definitely not the best bowl I've ever gotten, because so many things were missing. Service was pretty fast for such a long line, but I had to ask for extra things in order to get a decent serving that I'd get at other CAVA locations. Cava once again never ceases to dissapoint especially at this location. I dont understand whether or not its a management issue, but every time we've been to this location its been mismanaged and slow, and above all else inconsistent. I was charged 17 bucks for a lamb bowl, which was mostly water? I watched the worker grab a healthy and reasonable amount of meat for the price point, and put it back to get almost a third of what she originally grabbed, and grabbing mostly water? Excuse me? It was though it was being rationed, not even reaching the halfway point of the container. All the while watching a family with another worker taking their sweet time, getting loaded with stuff. Then my 15 dollar "shawarma" was like opening an MRE during war times, cold, flat, and hardly flavored. Like excuse me? And they had the nerve to give me a dirty look when I asked for my receipt like they knew Id be complaining about the service. Take this as a real human written review, and someone who sees food like this as unreasonably expensive, and downright disrespectful on the average persons wallet. read more

My recent experience at Cava, checks the boxes Chipotle's doesn't: their well-curated menu has healthier options, their counter servers are more attentive and courteous, and the vibe is certainly more genteel and less harried. Some may argue that Chipotle's servings are more generous, but that varies significantly from place to place. At any rate, I just love the thought of having an alternative to Chipotle's! We tried their steak & harissa and Greek salad chef-curated bowls and were totally delighted by the interesting contrast of textures and spices, and the dressings are terrific (we favor the tzatziki and green harissa)! read more
