I only gave 3 stars. 1 for good music, 1 for the cocktail sauce & 1 for the ice tea. Both my wife and I had the "Catfish Snack." That's 3 fried catfish fillets, 1 hush puppy and a generous amount of french fries. The fillets were hand battered, well seasoned, the fries and hush puppies were fresh made and all was served hot. For a "snack," there was more than we could eat. To sum it up, the food exceeded our expectations, the cost was lower than expected, the staff was friendly. We'll be back. read more

This is my favorite Catfish Station location! The staff here is so friendly but you should come here for the food! The food is divine! Best seafood and creole cuisine in Houston, TX! They have such crispy and flavorful Catfish and the gumbo is one of the best I've had from a restaurant! I'm from New Orleans so creole cuisine is in my blood. I must admit, I was skeptical before my first visit but this place delivered! It felt like I was eating in my own kitchen! We ordered the Combination Basket (fried shrimp & catfish) w/ green beans, Shrimp E'toufee w/ dirty rice & potato salad, and a boudain link. The best was the fried shrimp... fantastically seasoned! Catfish was very very good as well! E'toufee was above average - not the best I've had, but definitely delicious. However, we did not love the boudain - it was possibly seasoned with a bit too much file' (sassafras) and/or bay leaf. The green beans were nice and garlicky and well seasoned without being drowned in butter or bacon fat; and the potato salad was unique, but not in a bad way - just a sweet vinegar flavor that made it one of those sides you'll either love or just think it's okay. Prices are slightly on the high side for a "fast-casual" concept, but not totally unreasonable given the quality of the food. Overall, very good lunch or dinner spot that I'll definitely want to go back to. read more

If I could give this place a zero starI would. The food is basic a mediocre as well as the staff. Myself and a girlfriend visited this location recently I had the most horrible experience ever. Starting off the young lady Jessica that was at the counter had a rude attitude she didn't know what she was doing, didn't know how to work the computer system, and didn't know what was all on the menu. She messed up both of our orders. After speaking with two different people trying to correct our orders we were then directed to a mediocre manager who was supposedly on his off day and only came to pick up his check and was pissed that he was dealing with our issues. He supposedly called the general manager but the general manager apparently was too busy it wouldn't come to help us. so we asked for our money back and left our food at the counter. You're better off making the same dish at home. they don't use a lot of seasonings food was Blan! it's sad to say that this is a black owned business when only one black person works there won't be going back in for sure won't be telling everyone to go visit. By the way we ordered to Po boys with shrimp and sausage with a side of shrimp etouffee and the other was supposed to be shrimp and oyster Po boy with fries, she gave us the étouffée sauce just the sauce. These guys run there business very well. As being as small as they are with so much on the menu, sometimes its the quality of food you get that makes a difference. The cheese grits are the absolute truth honey! The immense flavor was breath taking and unexpected! Not sure what kind of sausage was in it, but we are very picky about our sausage and they nail the recipe with that secret ingredient! The fried shrimp and catfish we ordered was great as well! Saw these guys in the Chronicle yesterday. Checked Yelp, 5 stars. We live in La Porte but were near Spring today, so we stopped in for a late lunch. It was great! We had fried catfish and shrimp, fries and coleslaw. All great. The shrimp were better than most places we've eaten, and we live really close to Kemah! The manager was super nice. Not a good visit last week. I know 7:00 pm on a Monday is not prime time for a restaurant. Small crowd with 2 young men working FOH. Ordered the Catfish/shrimp combo. The Catfish didn't taste fishy. I asked my order taker what the country of origin was. He was as confused as a deer in headlights. Told him to go look on the boxes. Five minutes later (probably after making a call he says they've thrown the boxes out for the day and he didn't have access to the freezer. I did reach out to the "Contact Us" portal on the website and after 6 days no response. Texas doesn't require labeling on the menu. However the place in Pasadena and the one in Conroe proudly assure you that the product is from the Mississippi Delta rather than the Mekong Delta. read more
