Well I made the mistake of going to the Catfish Station at 18416 Kuykendahl Rd again to buy food for some workers who requested it. Its fast food so the last of service is what it is. I order shrimp and catfish and bread pudding (which is great). The shrimp was fine. But the catfish (which is their namesake) was not. Apparently it was not fully cooked and very wet on the inside. Not sure how old the catfish is but its a surprise since this is supposedly their specialty. But they do have good batter on the catfish. This is not the first time the catfish has been like that. So I won't be going back. I'll just have to drive to the other seafood restaurants. This location is convenient but not worth the risk. Not sure what's going on at this location. read more

We absolutely love this place, we have never been disappointed. Such big portions, I always have lunch for the next day! Hands down my favorite thing besides the catfish is the grits, and I'm not a grits gal! But seriously cheesy with smoked sausage in the grits?!?! What's not to love? I have a minivan full of kids and no one argues when we say mom's craving catfish! We were crazing some seafood and decided lets try this place with a name like Catfish Station; the catfish has to be good. Well the catfish is okay light and fluffy batter but coild use more spicy or salt. It wasn't bad but it was great either. We had the pound of catfish and a pound of shrimp for two adults and two kids its was enough food for everyone to get full. The red beans and rice were delicious just the right amount of flavor. I've visited the other locations. Glad to see this location because it's closer to my house. Food is excellent with an extended menu compared to the other locations. Seafood is consistently fresh! Staff is great. You will not be disappointed. read more

My husband ordered the 5 piece fried catfish with red beans and rice, we brought 2 pieces home, I thought he would make himself sick insisting on finishing the beans and 3rd piece of fish, too much food for $8.99. I ordered the 2 shrimp, 2 catfish, fries snack for $6.99 brought home 1 piece of fish, too full to eat the really good, crispy fries. The hush puppies are so good. Okay I could finish the 'snack' because of the crawfish pie, it was so very good but better because of the ettouffee sauce. I love my husband's fried fish, but when he doesn't want to make me any, Catfish Hut is a great substitute. This was my first time at the location. It was very clean, the staff was friendly, and out good came out very fast. The fish was very fresh. The food was very flavourful. My fish was fried a little too hard. When I brought it to the attention of the employee, he got me new fish out very fast. I'll definitely be back. read more

Stopped by for the first time and tried the catfish and the bread pudding. The catfish was amazing and very clean tasting. My only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is the bread pudding was overly dry and not good at all. Also the remouloude sauce was very good. I went there Friday night with a friend and never even completed an order. The man at the counter seemed irritated that we arrived at 8:45 and they closed at 9. He did not speak clearly so that I could hear and understand. I am 67 and my hearing is not good. His attitude seemed unfriendly that he was having to repeat. Finally I said we are just not communicating and we would leave. I felt unwelcome there and will not return. No smile or welcome when entering. Could have been much more pleasant. read more

I don't normally like grits, but these were good.. Both my mom and I agreed that they were the best grits we've ever had. The fried food was really good too. Normally when I think fried catfish I picture catfish fillets with heavy breading and dripping with grease, but these were nothing like that. This is some of the best seafood Ive had! My husband raves about this place and he's a man of few words. We are from Corpus Christi Texas so we live right off the gulf. We request catfish station whenever we come to Spring. The hush puppies are tender and never dry. They have bits of corn so they're so moist.
