Can't beat 30 fried shrimp and fries for less that 20.00 Yep very very good they are pretty quick also

Love Capitans but don't ever.. ever ever ever get the extra spicy flavor! I couldn't even enjoy my boil today and I consider myself to have a high tolerance. Other than that I'm a loyal fan been coming since 2020 when I first discovered it!

Always forget to add the menu , But this place defiantly a good spot for a decent meal and worthy of you buck .. the place can be ghetto at times but other than that Safe to eat in or out

    Fried Swai NOT catfish.

Ordered fish and shrimp combo. Paid upcharge for "catfish" but was still served "swai" which looks different and tastes differently. They lost my trust.

Decent fish at a decent price. I'd recommend the Swai Filets or Catfish. I used to go to Captain Benny's a lot, but the fish is too bland for me and it's not what it used to be. Your food is prepared when ordered! This establishment is also diverse? What do I mean? Stop in and see for yourself and don't forget to try the Swai!

We tried this place for the first time last summer because my brother was visiting from out of town and this was a Yelp referral. It's about a 25-30min Drive from our house. WORTH IT. We've come back several times when we are on this side of town or just have a craving for seafood Hot, fresh and delicious food. Great Prices!! Pic attached was the 2pcs fillet tilapia and fried rice. Hubbs likes the 2pcs fish and fries. Kiddos like the shrimp and fires. Bro had the CajunViet crawfish with hush puppies (sorry I only got one pic, we ate the rest too quickly lol) we've also tried the Fried whole tilapia

One thing that was consistent about this place was every dish being consistently bad. We started with the garlic wings, which were incredibly underwhelming. Tiny, with barely any meat, and the flavor? Not buttery, not garlicky, just bland. The fries were actually the best part of that dish, and even those were forgettable. Their snails with salted egg yolk were a huge letdown. The flavor was strangely reminiscent of mashed potatoes...no cheesy richness, just an odd texture that made it hard to finish. The tamarind eggs were just sour, and not in a good way. No balance, no depth. I couldn't even force myself to finish that one. The only halfway decent thing was the soft bread they served on the side...and that should never be the highlight at a seafood spot. Usually, I can find at least one dish I enjoy, but this was consistently disappointing across the board. The service was friendly, which earns them a second star, even though they messed up part of our order. Houston has way too many great spots to waste a meal here. They need a new chef...

The staff does not fully understand what the menu items come with and thinks that everything is the boil sauce. I order the garlic noodle box with extra garlic sauce. When my food came out it was covered in the ohh la la boil sauce. When I explained that the sauce that usually is with it is clear not red, she said this is what they use. I said it doesn't look like the photo on the board, her response was bc I asked for extra. I said extra does not mean change the type. She then just looked at me. I asked for a remake so it's like the photo. It seems that they rinsed off the noodles bc they were cold and thru the smoked sausage that I bit off and egg that I bit and placed it on top and smothered more red sauce on it! This is the last time, and I will not be bringing my family and friends or suggesting this place to anyone.

It def took us out of our element, but we can appreciate the positive energy. As for the food, I got their signature Krav'n fried rice in the spicy level-- while I thought it was a good level of spice, my friends thought it was too spicy. I'm a bit of a spice freak though so it's hard for me to find something that really makes me sweat. I think the flavor overall was pretty good albeit it needed more salt imo. I find that their signature kravin sauce to be a little too thick (like a gravy texture) and heavy to be incorporated into the fried rice-- because of that texture, it made the fried rice soggy. However, the garlic butter mussels (seafood boil) they offered was delicious and the portion sizes over all (for all the food) were generous for the price. The fried catfish was pretty standard and didn't stray away from what I expected from a Cajun place. It is nice to find a local Viet Cajun restaurant nearby so I would def come back to try their crawfish and other seafood boils. I wouldn't get their kravin fried rice again and would opt in for a different flavor. Overall the experience was interesting and the staff was kind.

Kind of a weird setup though, because the bartender told me I could only use the $20 gift card if I was paying with a gift card... which felt a bit off, but whatever. Overall, this place was just okay. I get the feeling the boils might be the star of the show here, so I'll probably come back to give those a try. I ordered the sampler with fried green tomatoes, boudin balls, and stuffed jalapeños. The flavors were there, but the boudin balls were a little too salty. For my main, I went with the etouffee and asked for both shrimp and crawfish. It was flavorful, with a solid dark roux that I liked. I sat at the bar, and Crystal was my server. She was super friendly but admitted it was her first time making the Bloody Orange Lemon Drop. I gave her a couple of pointers for the second round, and she nailed it - so props for that!
