The service used to be exceptional, but this time around, the workers (aside from our server, who was very friendly) were a bit standoffish and cold. I also did not receive my included sashimi dish until the very end of my meal, and I only received my water an hour after being there. The water also tasted very strange, almost fermented? (my friends' glasses were normal, so not sure what happened to mine). The bowls and cups were also not as clean as they used to be. Mikiya used to feel like an upscale dining experience, but I fear whatever changes they've been making in corporate or staffing decisions are having a negative impact. I really hope the service improves, it would be a shame to see Mikiya continue down this path!

They announce 'last call' -- when final orders are made for each table before the restaurant closes. I believe it's a good way for customers to pace themselves before leaving near closing. Downside: I don't know if it's been fixed, but the labels at the sauce/veggie (?) table aren't completely visible, so it's hard to identify what kind of sauce is displayed. Service is also a bit delayed/flawed during busy times, so I suggest looking at the traffic. But when one is comfortable enough to climb onto a customer's table in the middle of service, that's not something I can just shrug off. The closest thing currently is the lo mein, which I really like, but I'm still wanting more options. 3. Often, the sauce stations will have some empty bottles on the side, which is often inconvenient since I tend to add most if not all to my sauce.
