Everyone told me I needed to go to Mills Ave while I was visiting Tempe. While walking down the street I found CASA. There was a long line of people waiting to get in and loud music playing inside. I decided to check it out. Everyone had the large buckets of cocktails to drink from. They were $15 each. That is definitely a steal to get a large amount for a cheap price. There are heated outdoor lamps to warm everyone up. There is a rooftop area where you can sit and have a nice view of Mills Ave. In addition there is an inside area with a DJ and large dance floor. It felt like being in a small club. The music was on point and kept everyone happy for the entire night. Everyone was dancing and having a good time. This place was amazing. I had a great time here. Also, every time I come here, everyone in front of me gets let in with a smile, and when I reach the front I am asked to lift up my shirt and spin in a circle and in the past I had one security guard that was very adamant about patting me down after removing me from the line. giving this place three stars because the first bartender I got poured 1/2 shot of vodka (I am a bartender so I understand how pouring works, and she poured mine and my friends drinks short) into a plastic cup vodka red bull, proceeded to charge me 14$ for a drink I couldn't even taste alcohol in, and said the red bull was "extra". If you're going to give me the entire can of red bull, sure. If you're giving me 1/2 shot (not even a full shot) of vodka and 1/3 can of red bull, then that price is outrageous. Service and everything is fine. Some security staff is on a power trip however. Came with a group of friends for a block party, and I was told (while sober) that I was too intoxicated to enter. I thought whatever, it'll save everyone trouble if I accept it and move on. My friends and I then left and went to another bar, where we all got in with no issue. We then decided to go back to casa, where I gave my id to the other bouncer. He had no issue with it or myself, so I got in without any trouble. However, the same bouncer that called me over intoxicated deemed my friend, (who is sober) over intoxicated as well. He also chose to not cause extra issues, but the fact that the same guy deemed both of us over intoxicated while clearly not was worth a written review. read more

Received awful service here. Waited in line for 45 minutes and was told at the door that I was not allowed to enter with a baseball (Diamondbacks) jersey on, even though other guests were inside wearing football jerseys and other sports with no issue. The bouncers, who are little men with little egos, stopped the whole line from entering until I turned my jersey inside out in front of everyone. Once I entered, I turned my jersey inside out and ordered a drink. Once I received my drink, I was physically dragged out the front by two security guards and their manager, who told me that what I did was "insanely disrespectful" and that I would not be allowed to come inside to finish the drink that I had not even been able to touch. The bouncers then proceeded to harass and tease me as I waited outside for my friends to finish their drinks so we could leave. I went to casa with some friends and had the worst experience ever. Our bartender was named Nicole and had dark hair. We ordered our drinks and I forgot to ask for a lime. I waited about 15 mins at the bar waiting to ask for a lime. She blantantly ignored me the entire time. I asked again and barked in my face, "No, you can't have a f***ing lime. Get out NOW!" This entire interaction was unprompted and extremely disturbing. I will never be coming back to this establishment due to this wickedly horrible interaction. Nicole needs to be fired immediately. I was surprised at the lack of service, empathy, and understanding. Me and my friends bought drinks all night. When my bf was outside and asked to go back inside, they wouldn't let him. He tried to use the restroom, but instead, he was tackled by multiple security guards, and they quickly called the cops. He stayed overnight in jail because he checked up on me and wanted to use the restroom at a place he was a paying customer at. No statements were taken by any witnesses and the officers couldn't give any direct answer to our questions. Please go anywhere else. I wish I could give it zero stars. read more

We came here for my son's 21st birthday at 12:30am to celebrate with him and his friends at midnight to have a drink. This establishment security is rude and very unprofessional.. This place is a club on Mill. I don't feel comfortable giving it more than two or three stars, but I have to admit I'll be back to dance again. Food? Not that I've ever noticed. Drinks? Large, cheap, and in buckets they might let you take home- it depends on the night. I'm very comfortable going to this place and not spending a dime, so I recommend it for a free night out dancing. Dress code? Depends on your gender and how the bouncer is feeling. To be honest, young women get away with basically anything while guys can get turned away for wearing joggers. I've been let it with workout clothes and a backpack when my guy friends have been told they need pants with belt loops and they have to leave a smaller backpack outside (on the same night). This place is super sexist but if you're a cute girl don't worry about it. Dancing? Yes. Music isn't special but it's not bad either. The floor is small but you also get to dance on a small outcropping around the tables. Kind of dangerous, so don't mix that with too many drinks. Space in general : this place features a strong contender for the world's longest women's bathroom line, manned by a bouncer even on Thursday nights. You won't get a table unless it's a weeknight, you're early, or it's past 1am. read more

I love Casa and have been here several times and get the same bucket each time. Ranch water. Yesterday I went with my family and the bartender tried to charge me $30+ for a bucket. I didn't know this until after she charged my card. My friends went to a different bartender and got the same thing, and their buckets were like $15. I talked to the bartender that served me and she basically called me stupid saying that all ranch water is served with silver tequila and that's why it was so expensive. I explained that my friends got the same thing and theirs were normal price and i've been here many times and this has never happened. She ripped my card out of my hand, "refunded" my card, slammed my card on the bar and said "i'm not giving you a bucket because ALL RANCH WATERS HAVE SILVER TEQUILA, KNOW THIS FOR NEXT TME" and proceeded to give me a small "drink" instead of what I ordered. What the? I've never experienced such rudeness in my life, and my family was appalled. She needs to either be talked to about customer service or fired. I have been a bartender/server for 5+ years and have NEVER talked to a customer with such disrespect. To be honest, I didn't expect much from this place from the looks of it outside. We were looking for someplace to eat with patio seating. There was nobody sitting outside and I was apprehensive about going in. There were plenty of misters going to keep us cool. The menu looked good, lots of Mexican food choices. I was pleasantly surprised when the food came. I ordered the carne asada fries, the portion was huge and they were delicious. My friend ordered the chile verde plata (it was also delicious, came with freshly made tortillas). I ordered the C.A.S.A. margarita, it was ok, served in a strange plastic cup, my friend ordered a Modelo (24oz can). Again, the food was surprisingly good and way better than I expected. We came on a Monday night and it was not packed at all. This place is very close to ASU. I've been told this is a place that you go to to get drinks that come in large buckets so you can get super trashed as quickly as possible. That sounds like my kinda thing so I wanted to try this place out. One thing that really irked me was that for the buckets themselves, they didn't have the prices on the menu so you don't know how much they cost. I ended up ordering a Jack and Coke bucket that cost me $16. A friend who goes to ASU told me that they usually cost like $8-10 so I didn't know where I went wrong and had nothing else to compare it to. The bucket itself took a while to finish for two people but I still don't think it's worth $16. I can get a whole fifth of whiskey and liter of coke for $16 so that's gonna be a nope from me. read more

If I could put 0 stars I would, me and my friend went to Casa because it sounded great. We sat down on the upstairs deck, good vibes and music. Our waitress asked for me and my friends Ids, we showed her and she proceeded to take my friends ID claiming it was fake. She just turned 21 this past November and we were just wanting a drink and some food. Our waitress said she couldn't serve us and when my friend asked where her ID was, she said she'd have to go downstairs and talk to the manager. Once she talked to the manager (Tim was great) she was told the only way to get her ID back was to call the cops. So she had to basically call the cops on herself for them to come check her ID. In the meantime I had no one coming to serve me upstairs. Cops showed up and verified her ID. Tim the manager then apologized and offered her a free drink. She then came back to the table and we waited for about 15 minutes to order and our server never came back to the table or apologized. So we grabbed our sh*t and left. If you have a Nevada ID DON'T go to Casa, it's gonna get taken, you're gonna have to call the cops lmao. Go to Zipps, they had great service, drinks, and no cops involved! :) read more

I've been coming here for the past 4 years. Just visited this weekend for the reopening after a year. It was VERY crowded. Getting in wasn't an issue maybe a 5 min wait. The lines to get drinks though took forever but we had a server come and save the day and get us drinks. Once you get that bucket you are good to go! Outside the atmosphere felt really constricting with all the people out there. But if you go inside it is nice and open. They redid all the lights the furniture and even moved the bar and added new decor! I was very surprised with the atmosphere and it was really great. The DJ felt like he was playing the same song over and over I think they might need to add some songs to the playlist but other than that everything was as amazing as ever! read more
