Loved the artwork with beautiful women!

FUN TIME! I really enjoyed this bar, you can have a fun bar experience with just a +1! They played some pretty good music, mostly remixes of popular songs from the late 90s to current day. There were plenty of pool tables to choose from, just go up to the bar to get some balls! They do hold onto your ID while you have the balls out. I didn't have any alcohol since I was the DD, but my Shirley Temple was excellent, although it's not a hard drink to mess up haha. I'd love to return and practice my skills, since I was losing on this occasion!

Nice spot on Mill Avenue to get away from the noise. I met my husband here on a first date, six years ago. It also was a Sunday night. Sundays are great because only $5 an hour. Also they have long islands for $4 a pop. Tab at the end of the night with tip 27 bucks. Not bad. Pools tables are nice. Bathroom was clean. Over the years it appears less and less staff working but still dope place. We did have to go get our own drinks but price makes it worth it.

Stopped in for a quick drink .. fast service, generous pour, it was early so not crazy busy but still happening.. younger crowd Check out the menu for daily drink specials.. dress code casual

The child who works the front door and needs an attitude adjustment

Went there last night. Service was sub par at best. To get in they have a child working security who makes everyone lift their shirt to check for weapons, no big deal, as long as we're doing it to everyone. I was inside I noticed a large group of males "fist bump" the kid watching the door and walk on in unsearched. I went outside and asked the kid working the door about and he got a uppity attitude with me and said "they're my friends, I don't need to check them". I politely let him know how unprofessional that was as well as potentially being unsafe and kept the attitude up telling me to "get out of his bar" I had a good laugh at that one and had to remind the child that I was already outside and his "authority" ended at the door. He was very rude throughout the whole experience and used profanity towards me and my companions and said he "doesn't give a f$"@k" if we reported this to his management after asking him to refrain from the offensive language. I will most certainly never patronize this business again and it's very disappointing and unfortunate that they let such and immature child represent their business. Management should really reconsider who their hire to be the face of the establishment. Two thumbs down! Here's a pic of the little child who mockingly to me to take it and "show his boss"

I've been coming to Cue Club for the last ten years and I am glad they're still in business amidst the expansion and property value increase on Mill Ave. This has become a gem to Tempe and an awesome spot for Sun Devils, old and new, to come hang out, catch up with friends, play pool, and watch sports... or even the awards show. This place is super verse. The staff here are superb. The drinks are legit and they even have a ski shot that you could do with your friends.... just makes sure you're all close to the same height or someone is getting wet. Lol. All in all, I look forward to starting my night on Mill Ave here before venturing out.

He needs to be fired. Do better cue club. He's disgusting.

Horrible security. First of all, I don't drink and the security guard was being so rude because I seemed "drunk" while he let the girl in front of me in after she blatantly did some coke in line. If you know what the little man syndrome is, that's exactly what he has. I'm stationed here and don't recommend any one going here. It's empty for a reason.

Not having played in a very long time I really enjoyed shooting some pool here. Felt was in great condition, the rails were firm and the rate very reasonable. Corners aren't that forgiving, so make your shots count

This looks like an outdated club. We got our drinks at the bar and sat down for a little bit. Nothing really stood out to me.

Love it! I started out with a cocktail - the Mega Viral! Once you try it, you will understand the name. One of the more innovative cocktails I have ever had... and I ended up having two! So delicious and an experience in itself!! We enjoyed some light bites as well - the Edamame Hummus and Shishito Peppers. Both were fantastic! I love that their menu points out which items are gluten-free... and our server even warned me that the plantain chips in the Edamame Hummus could have cross-contamination... so I very much appreciate that heads up! I opted to order them anyway and I am so glad I did - so good! And I experienced no gluten issues. Awesome! I'm already looking forward to a return trip! The chicken tenders were fire!!! What is lacking on this occasion was service. The server that we had was so unattentative. I have never been in a cocktail lounge in my life and had to beg for drinks. Our server would wait until every drinks was made for all of her tables before bringing out drinks. It was ridiculous. She was nice but seemed high. I ended up only having 2 drinks. We would have ordered more but they have 90min max seating and we didn't event get drinks for the first 30min. No exaggeration. Also one of my drinks I had to send back. My apple martini tasted like soap. It was like they did clean the glass after giving a soap bath. No bueno. So they need to get their service to match the vibe of a true cocktails lounge. Yes it is a 70s vibe but doesn't mean the lackadaisical style service. I would come back and try again. The music, the atmosphere and the food was good. They gotta get these cocktails together and service. We ended up walking to nearby competitors and that was money lost for DDG.

The most recent was…read moreon a Thursday night around 10:30 p.m. This speakeasy is located on Mill Ave., the center of Tempe's party scene. Because of its location, parking isn't easy. If you're looking for free parking, you're going to have a long walk. Outside of that, you'll have to pay for parking in a garage or metered street parking. Ambiance (4/5): Hint hint. Idle Hands is located inside Devil's Hideaway. A true speakeasy shouldn't have signage outside indicating its location. Unfortunately, there's a sign for Idle Hands outside of Devil's Hideaway which takes away the sense of mystery and intrigue that a true speakeasy provides. Outside of this hiccup, it's a cool speakeasy. It's intimate, with 10 or so seats at the bar and about 10 seats in booths facing the bar. There's a projector screen behind the bar that had mystical motion graphics the first time I stopped by (thinking wizards) and Halloween motion graphics the second time (with it being a day before the holiday). There were some other Halloween decorations up. The only area of improvement? The music often doesn't match the vibe. A lot of the music they were playing on my last visit was Irish music that would be fitting for a pub. Service (4/5): I had the same bartender each time. He knows how to make a good drink and is pretty efficient. When you close out, he only gives you the merchant copy. Which is a pet peeve of mine. Let me get that customer copy too. But overall, a good experience. Especially at a college bar. Food (N/A): I've only had drinks both times. Idle Hands actually doesn't have food, but Devil's Hideaway does. And you're allowed to bring food from there into the speakeasy. Drinks (4.5/5): It's pretty surprising to see a speakeasy on a college campus. I was impressed with the creativity of the menu, both in terms of the ingredients used and the fusion of flavors. I've had a different cocktail each time, and they've all been great. My favorite was one served in a box filled with smoke. Talk about a cool presentation! The hallmarks of a solid speakeasy are elevated cocktails, nice ambiance (dimly lit), an intimate space, and mystery/intrigue. While the intrigue is lacking at Idle Hands, and the music can be improved, they hit it out of the park in the other areas. One of my favorite speakeasies I've been to in Phoenix (and surrounding areas). I am, after all, the self-appointed king of speakeasies. The king gives his stamp of approval.

The space is huge with plenty of tables, booths, and bar seating, plus they have a dog-friendly patio, although it didn't seem to be open during our visit. One thing to note is that ordering is done entirely through QR code, so interaction with staff is pretty minimal. Service was still smooth, but it definitely has more of a self-service feel. Their board game collection is massive and there's a $6 per person fee if you want to play. We ended up skipping the games this time and just came for food and drinks. Food-wise, everything was solid. I had the Spellbinder Hazy IPA along with the patty melt and sweet potato fries (a $3 upcharge). The patty melt was excellent and easily the highlight of my meal. The fries were decent, though I wish they had been a little crispier. My wife had the 12 West Super Beaker Tropical IPA and the carnitas bowl. We also shared the fried pickle chips. Parking can be a bit of a hassle since all the nearby downtown Tempe garages are paid parking, but there are at least several options within walking distance. There's even a small paid lot right behind the restaurant. Overall, a really cool concept with good food, drinks, and an impressive game selection.

It's the kind of restaurant that makes getting dressed up feel exciting and worth it, and I absolutely loved that about the experience. It felt like such a perfect date night spot or place to celebrate something special. The servers were also extremely attentive the entire night. Everyone was friendly, professional, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling overbearing. The service honestly matched the upscale atmosphere perfectly and made the whole experience feel even more polished. And OMG... the food. SO SO SO SO SO GOOD. Like genuinely one of those meals where every single bite makes you pause for a second because it tastes that incredible. I got the chicken orzo along with the lime icebox cake for dessert, and both were absolutely amazingggg. The chicken orzo was phenomenal. The lemon flavor throughout the orzo was bright, fresh, and flavorful without being overpowering, and the tomatoes were the PERFECT addition because they balanced everything so well and added a little sweetness and freshness to the dish. But the chicken... wow. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside while still being super juicy and tender inside, which is honestly hard to do. Every component of the dish worked together perfectly. Magnificent is genuinely the best word for it. And the lime icebox cake was the perfect ending to the meal, refreshing, creamy, flavorful, and not too heavy after dinner. The restaurant itself is very cute and clearly designed for photos, which matches what I saw on their Instagram. Service overall was fantastic. The food, however, was just okay. I ordered the burrata and fig plate and was told they'd replace the bread with apple slices. I received five very small slices of apple, and when the plate was set down the waitress said she'd get more if needed. I later noticed I was charged $2 for an additional five slices, which together didn't even amount to half an apple. Ironically, the bread that comes with the dish would have been far more substantial. The burrata was fine, but nothing memorable. My friend ordered the chicken and brussels sprouts and didn't even finish it before having the plate taken away. The flourless almond cake was the star, a bit salty on its own, but with the ice cream and whipped cream it was a delightful combo which were the highlight. Overall, this is a great spot for cocktails, ambiance, and photos, but the food is fairly mediocre compared to the setting.
