Went there and they had a free buffet of chinese food! Drinks were dirt cheap and cold. Would go there again.

Once you're let inside a side door you have to lock your phones up. My reaction was "you're kidding, right", then I said, let's do it. You keep the key to your numbered box. This is such a perfect way to disconnect from your phone and have ongoing conversations with no interruption. I kept attempting to show our bartender the activities we did while in Arizona, but forgot I didn't have my phone lol. We had a good ole time with our bartender (male, forgot his name but I've learned he's afraid of heights and won't go on a hot air balloon ride LOL!!). He made this drink something near an old fashioned but it was topped with an entire gingerbread cookie, I had about 3. Oh, and the staff all had on Christmas pajamas as uniform. So cute & comfy! Keep in mind we have no sense of time so we were nervous about being late to our reservations for Wren & Wolf.. the hostess assured us she would come get us and escort us to the table in time. And she did. We weren't finished our last drinks but was able to carry them over to the restaurant.

Surprise Father's Day gift to go on a "flight" from NY to Tokyo. This was such a cool experience…read more I'm an airplane junkie so going back in time in a vintage plane was awesome. The vibe is intimate and the staff was amazing. The food was good; my wagyu was cooked nicely but my wife's was a bit overdone. The peanuts pack some heat so they were a bit too spicy. This is a cool date night experience and you get wings, like the old days.

"First Class Seating" is $25 person for admission, a Welcome Cocktail, House-Made Wasabi Peanuts, and a sweet treat. "Captain's Club" is $100/person for admission, a Welcome cocktail, 2 craft cocktails of your choice and 4-course light bite menu featuring King Crab Dumplings, Mini Salmon Lox Bagel, Japanese A5 Wagyu Skewers, New York Style Cheesecake" Additional food/drinks are also available for purchase separately. There are table options to seat up to 2 or 4 people for $50 and $100, respectively. As I was in a party of 2, I cannot speak to if you must purchase a full table as a party of 1 or pay your individual fare but potentially be seated with another party of 1... My partner and I RSVP'd for a Thursday 7:30pm flight from NYC to Tokyo. Per our email, we were instructed to arrive about 15 minutes early to pick up our flight tickets from the downtown restaurant Wren & Wolf. Spoiler alert: Carry On is a speakeasy attached to the back of the restaurant. After picking up your ticket, you walk around the corner to the large orange "plane" door, which opened punctually at 7:30pm to start our experience. We gave our flight attendants (the staff was indeed wearing flight attendant uniforms) our tickets at the front desk, and were given free Carry On pins before being escorted to our table. Despite being a Thursday evening There were overhead announcements and even windows playing animations emulating a real flight experience from take-off to landing! The interior is gorgeous, from the furnishings to the lighting. Craftily, there are many mirrors inside to create the illusion of a larger space. The menu emulated an in-flight menu, with food and drinks based on the trip's theme! We ordered an additional drink each and an onion dip that were all creatively crafted and delicious! All in all, Carry On is the perfect date night or girl's night experience. While it might not be in most people's price range for a casual night out, it is definitely worth trying for a special occasion if possible. I would love to go back and am looking forward to the next destination's theme!

You can only catch the thunderbird sign on the front window. This place is such a nostalgic place/ the retro walls, the wooden panels, the decorum and games, the lighting, everything. Bob Ross was playing on the television at the front, and the arcade games are classic. There are trophy's on the shelves and some cool "mature" trinkets sprinkled around. The guy behind the bar was swell. He was just chipper and jovial and it was great. I had a house marg (was on special for $7) and my friends had some Mantucky Cold Snacks. He said the crowd is usually such good vibes and that the place is well known for the patio in the back (I didn't get to peek outside before we left!) but I did see some warmers from the inside... seems like a nice wide open space to host groups. Made me happy to bee there with good friends. Will definitely be coming back.

They host different themed events on the weekends, and there's usually no cover unless it's a special event. The vibe is laid-back with a retro dive bar feel, and I've noticed a mix of different types of people there, all seeming to have a good time. The back patio often turns into a dance floor when there's a DJ or music playing. Inside, the space leans heavily into the retro theme. There are a few arcade games, a retro-style phone booth, and a living room area that looks like something straight out of the 70s, which adds to the nostalgic atmosphere. Ordering drinks can be a bit hit or miss. The bar inside can get a long line, and there isn't waitstaff walking around taking drink orders. There is a small window connected to the bar where you can place drink orders, almost like an ordering window, which sometimes works better than waiting at the main bar. Parking can also be a bit of a challenge. There is parking in front of the establishment and in the same shopping center, and you can also park across the street. Just be aware that towing can happen in some areas, so it's worth paying attention to the signs.
