HIDDEN GEM! This is a cute little bar tucked away on the corner of Dobbins and 7th Ave., I've never been here until today. I asked the bartender for something sweet, and she did not disappoint. I'm not sure what I got, but it's really delicious and tastes like a popsicle! They play pretty good music here. I wasn't here very long, but I will definitely return with more people and have a party here!

"LOVE THE BARTENDER; SUPER NICE" This bar has pool tables; has plenty of tables low lighting has karaoke and sports playing on the TVS. The bartender can make any drink you can possibly imagine and she is super sweet and is very nice to talk to you! She has great recommendations. They have a breathalyzer here so you don't drink while driving they also have a pretty good bar menu with lots of choices. Would I come back yes I would. Tips for management: please make sure you wipe down the tables more frequently because everywhere I put my hands it was sticky.

This bar is your local place to come have fun, laugh, dance, eat and make memories. Been going here over the last 15 years always a good time. Bartender are always on there grind and you never wait long also they play the best music for all genres. Best wings in South Phoenix cash and card accepted ATM inside

What an experience!

My first venture to the diviest dive bar in south Phoenix was almost what I expected. By and large, not only do I love dive bars, but most often I prefer them to other joints. I do, however, have a problem with establishments who refuse to accommodate those of us who don't walk around with cash. I get it - you also own the ATM... but c'mon.... in the long run you'll get more repeat business because your place is divey AND accepts debit / credit than by being stubborn about it. The service was decent, the beers were exactly what you'd expect in regards to quality and price. There was live music, sadly country, but I was in the minority in regards to music preference in this joint. In regards to the clientele, excellent people watching and they were almost all incredibly friendly. If I had a wallet full of cash, I'd go back for the atmosphere but I kind of take a stand against business owners who think they're out-smarting us with their 'cash-only' policy.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly hostess, seated in a roomy booth, and had piping hot chips and fresh salsa dropped off at our table within moments of sitting down. Honestly, the fact that the chips were hot & fresh at the end of the evening was impressive to me! Our waitress was sweet, very friendly & took great care of our group. You never know what you're going to get when it's so close to closing time, but again, I was very pleased with our experience! Typically, even mid-day at other Mexican restaurants, I've gotten chips that are not even remotely warm. At this point, I already knew the dinner would be out of this world!!! Also... the salsa.... Absolutely PERFECT! Just the right amount of spice, the consistency was excellent. YUM! The menu had so many options, it was nearly impossible to choose... I went with the Tostada Verda & I also ordered a side of the Jalapeño Cream Cheese, as I figured it would compliment my Tostada. This addition should not be ignored, I recommend 100%!! It's also good with the chips and salsa ‍ I can't even begin to explain how delicious my tostada was.... Anyone who loves tostadas understands the disappointment that comes along with a SOGGY tostada.... I'm at the point where I expect slight sogginess when I order one of these at a restaurant, because that's the case 75% of the time... NOT THIS TIME THOUGH!! Wow! The tostada was perfectly crisp & didn't have any soggy spots at all.... It melted in my mouth. The fact that Ponchos has mastered the art of keeping that shell on point even when it's piled high with shredded beef, sauces, veggies, etc. is absolutely incredible! !! The meat was out of this world. So full of flavor! & I loved the green chile. Definitely on the Top 3 list of tostadas I've had in my life. After our meal, we were given a quick tour of the place, which was fun. We got to enjoy looking at the photos all over the walls, which really gave it that authentic family owned restaurant vibe. Between this and the wonderful service, it really felt like home. I could easily continue to rattle on about this place, but instead, I'll leave you all with a warning.... If you haven't tried Poncho's yet, YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!

I should of seen it as soon as we got seated. There was a family of three sitting just across from us and where asking to speak to the manager...they seemed upset. Turns out they only have one server for the entire restaurant. The server came and asked us what we wanted to drink, took our order, left to get our drinks.....10+ minutes she comes back....no drinks. It was until 5 more minutes that we got our Iced Tea and Dr Pepper. No salsa n chips yet. The chips n salsa are awesome here but they aren't being served today... Let's wait for the food... The staff here appear to be upset and...this was what the review I started last time I was here. Today's visit over a year from last...is no different. Long wait times, frozen refried food with hard unpleasant shredded meat and the service is lengthy and still terrible. The restrooms get a B- on the Luis Scale and I definitely don't recommend this place. On to the next and Don't forget to tip your servers.

The gal teaching country line dancing has a lot of energy and while the steps aren't the easiest, I like that she repeats the lessons, so my second week here felt a lot better than the first. I have been to Scootin' Boots in Mesa for country line dancing too and found the other place easier, but it was a bit more, $10. Country line dancing is hard for me and I have to really pay attention and focus. Its a great work out and you feel like you have accomplished something! There is a bar here and beers cost $7 for a 12 oz. pour. Bartender was prompt and helpful. Food is available here, your usual bar food, which I have ordered none. I do love that they have these red horseshoe booths, which are super fun. I dont know what this place is like on other nights but I did enjoy this place for the country line dancing lessons. I'd come back and definitely wouldn't mind coming back for their other events also, seems a lot going on here!

The food was decently priced but expect to atleast spend $200-$250 for two people minimum. The menu was small which was not bad cause the food was incredible. We got the pork chop which was cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. The pasta was also really good! There were only two scallops and 3 shrimp on there and it was black squid ink pasta which I have had elsewhere before and it didn't color my lips and teeth like it did with this so if this was a first date, I'd say no to that dish haha but it was delicious. We got a bottle of moscato to share which was a great choice and then we got dessert for free which we did not expect but definitely appreciated as it was delightful. We watched the sunset and it was gorgeous, the sky was like a painting. Pictures didn't do justice so I didn't have night time pics. You'll just have to go see it for yourself! Upon entering, the interior is beautiful and clean, albeit very quiet and the outdoor view of the city is extraordinary. We were seated in a booth with a direct view of the kitchen. For a cocktail, I ordered an Espresso Martini which was made beautifully. We were also served a jalapeño (I believe) Focaccia with some honey butter Madeline's, also very delicious. For my entree, I ordered a Chicken dish and it was presented absolutely beautiful. It took around 45 minutes for us to receive our food and the temperature was not up to par. It tasted fine enough but would have been better fresh off the press and cooked a little longer. Ultimately, the other members of my party asked for refunds the next day as they were not happy with their food either. Our service lacked a little also which is disappointing because we were really looking forward to dining here and I cannot confidently say I will be returning.

She is noticeably friendly and attentive only to customers who are spending heavily and tipping well, while treating others with open disrespect. On multiple occasions, I was spoken to aggressively or ignored entirely when attempting to order, based on the assumption that I wouldn't tip enough. Valerie's behavior at times appeared erratic and overly aggressive, beyond what would be expected in a professional bar environment. I've heard rumors of her looking for a drug called ecstasy ...... I was a regular at this bar and often times I would notice different behaviors. I've heard similar concerns expressed by other long-time customers, and I've also seen separate public reviews online that reference questionable activity being overlooked at this bar regarding drug sales of cocaine openly Whether those claims are true or not, the fact that multiple patrons are raising similar red flags should be taken seriously by management!!!!!! Drugs may be involved!!!!! were times I was pressured or given ultimatums to immediately buy alcohol or leave, something that had never been enforced in my many years coming here. I fully understand this is a business, but the way these rules were suddenly applied felt targeted and personal rather than professional. What crossed the line was when Valerie called me a "bum" and a "low life." No customer should ever be spoken to that way, regardless of circumstances. That language alone was shocking and unacceptable, especially coming from someone in a position of authority behind the bar One night in particular stands out. A visibly drunk female customer initiated an argument with me and put her hands on me. I did not escalate the situation. Despite this, Valerie immediately took the other customer's side without addressing her behavior at all. The woman faced no consequences, while Valerie continued to talk down to me and threatened to call the police on me even though I was not the aggressor and had done nothing wrong. I was told to leave, while the person who started the confrontation was allowed to stay. That made it very clear that fairness and accountability were not being applied evenly. I want to note that the morning bartender generally behaves much more professionally and treats customers without prejudice, which shows this is not an issue with the bar as a whole, but with specific staff members and how they choose to treat people. The Food is great customers are great but the head bartender needs a talk with ownership' she is one of the reasons this bar is on a decline nobody wants a rude bartender who is prejudice
