HIDDEN GEM! This is a cute little bar tucked away on the corner of Dobbins and 7th Ave., I've never been here until today. I asked the bartender for something sweet, and she did not disappoint. I'm not sure what I got, but it's really delicious and tastes like a popsicle! They play pretty good music here. I wasn't here very long, but I will definitely return with more people and have a party here!

"LOVE THE BARTENDER; SUPER NICE" This bar has pool tables; has plenty of tables low lighting has karaoke and sports playing on the TVS. The bartender can make any drink you can possibly imagine and she is super sweet and is very nice to talk to you! She has great recommendations. They have a breathalyzer here so you don't drink while driving they also have a pretty good bar menu with lots of choices. Would I come back yes I would. Tips for management: please make sure you wipe down the tables more frequently because everywhere I put my hands it was sticky.

This bar is your local place to come have fun, laugh, dance, eat and make memories. Been going here over the last 15 years always a good time. What an experience!

My first venture to the diviest dive bar in south Phoenix was almost what I expected. By and large, not only do I love dive bars, but most often I prefer them to other joints. I do, however, have a problem with establishments who refuse to accommodate those of us who don't walk around with cash. I get it - you also own the ATM... but c'mon.... in the long run you'll get more repeat business because your place is divey AND accepts debit / credit than by being stubborn about it. The service was decent, the beers were exactly what you'd expect in regards to quality and price. There was live music, sadly country, but I was in the minority in regards to music preference in this joint. In regards to the clientele, excellent people watching and they were almost all incredibly friendly. If I had a wallet full of cash, I'd go back for the atmosphere but I kind of take a stand against business owners who think they're out-smarting us with their 'cash-only' policy.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly hostess, seated in a roomy booth, and had piping hot chips and fresh salsa dropped off at our table within moments of sitting down. Honestly, the fact that the chips were hot & fresh at the end of the evening was impressive to me! Our waitress was sweet, very friendly & took great care of our group. You never know what you're going to get when it's so close to closing time, but again, I was very pleased with our experience! Typically, even mid-day at other Mexican restaurants, I've gotten chips that are not even remotely warm. At this point, I already knew the dinner would be out of this world!!! Also... the salsa.... Absolutely PERFECT! Just the right amount of spice, the consistency was excellent. YUM! The menu had so many options, it was nearly impossible to choose... I went with the Tostada Verda & I also ordered a side of the Jalapeño Cream Cheese, as I figured it would compliment my Tostada. This addition should not be ignored, I recommend 100%!! It's also good with the chips and salsa ‍ I can't even begin to explain how delicious my tostada was.... Anyone who loves tostadas understands the disappointment that comes along with a SOGGY tostada.... I'm at the point where I expect slight sogginess when I order one of these at a restaurant, because that's the case 75% of the time... NOT THIS TIME THOUGH!! Wow! The tostada was perfectly crisp & didn't have any soggy spots at all.... It melted in my mouth. The fact that Ponchos has mastered the art of keeping that shell on point even when it's piled high with shredded beef, sauces, veggies, etc. is absolutely incredible! !! The meat was out of this world. So full of flavor! & I loved the green chile. Definitely on the Top 3 list of tostadas I've had in my life. After our meal, we were given a quick tour of the place, which was fun. We got to enjoy looking at the photos all over the walls, which really gave it that authentic family owned restaurant vibe. Between this and the wonderful service, it really felt like home. I could easily continue to rattle on about this place, but instead, I'll leave you all with a warning.... If you haven't tried Poncho's yet, YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!

Their Instagram said it was for take out only, so we ordered from the side window. We asked the employee if we could eat it inside if we ordered additional drinks and food. She said yes...but then said we should've ordered the taco box inside. So we asked if the taco box could've been ordered inside the restaurant then. She said yes. We asked but if we ordered additional food and drinks inside can we eat our taco box inside. She changed it to "you'd have to ask inside". We left confused what the actual policy was. We were going to ask inside but there was a line and it seemed to be moving slowly. The taco box was worth trying! Maybe a little too over hyped on Instagram. (Pricey!) Presentation was nice and they were generous with their sauce.

All-in all, very nice establishment. The frozen margaritas were good. I was very buzzed off three of those. Our waitress was great and friendly. The food was decently priced but expect to atleast spend $200-$250 for two people minimum. The menu was small which was not bad cause the food was incredible. We got the pork chop which was cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. The pasta was also really good! There were only two scallops and 3 shrimp on there and it was black squid ink pasta which I have had elsewhere before and it didn't color my lips and teeth like it did with this so if this was a first date, I'd say no to that dish haha but it was delicious. We got a bottle of moscato to share which was a great choice and then we got dessert for free which we did not expect but definitely appreciated as it was delightful. We watched the sunset and it was gorgeous, the sky was like a painting. Pictures didn't do justice so I didn't have night time pics. You'll just have to go see it for yourself! My girlfriend loved the views, but if I'm being honest, I was a bit underwhelmed. I'm from San Diego and I've seen far better. A view overlooking the freeway just isn't all that impressive to me personally. Still, I've passed this place on the freeway so many times and always wondered about it, so it felt special to finally check it off the list. We arrived about 10 minutes late, and I'll say the host that greeted us was a bit rude. We waited a few minutes before he took us back to our table. I will say there's an odd smell when you first walked in and I'm grateful that we sat outside. Once we sat down though, our waitress was attentive the entire night. We started with the charcuterie board, which honestly felt a little basic to me. The smoked Gouda was fine, but I would've preferred something sharper like an aged Gouda, and a more thoughtfully curated spread overall. The meats were okay, nothing that really stood out. On the drinks side, I tried two. The berry limeade was absolutely delicious, highly recommend that one! The traditional margarita though? Not it. Way too sweet for my taste. I don't think most Americans really know what a true margarita is supposed to be. I was hoping for something less sweet and more authentic. It is what it is, I drank it anyway (more because of the price than anything). But the entrées? Spot on. My girlfriend got the Miso Glazed Sea Bass served over potato purée with asparagus and a citrus beurre blanc. She said it was delicious. I had the Seasonal Ravioli with grana padano, white truffle oil, and added wild mushrooms on top. Incredible flavor, did not disappoint. I will say though, the ravioli plating wasn't all that appetizing. The sauce color came off bland and boring, and a little garnish like some micro greens on top could've gone a long way to elevate it. For a place like this (and the price), I expect the plating to be just as on point as the flavor. I'd say the same for the table setting, lighting and cleanliness of the table, I'd really rate that C level. Our waitress surprised us with complimentary champagne for the birthday, which was such a sweet touch. No clue what it was, but it was so good she ordered a second glass. They also brought us a small dessert that said Happy 40th Birthday for my girlfriend, which was really thoughtful. And the sunset? That part was genuinely beautiful. We got some great photos. All in all, a decent experience overall. It's pricey, and not somewhere I'd rush back to, but for a special occasion every now and then? Worth it to my GF and that's all that matters at the end of the day because it was her birthday celebration.

After the first bad experience, I came back thinking maybe it was just a one-off, but unfortunately the second visit was just as disappointing. The customer service was honestly terrible both times. One visit, we waited over 20 minutes just to have our order taken, and when it finally was, I was told the staff had eaten my cookie because they thought the order was placed as a joke. I genuinely couldn't believe it. Then it took another 40 minutes for my Pazooki to come out. The second time, they completely forgot one person's food at our table. We reminded them multiple times, and the food still never came out. On top of that, the servers were almost impossible to find the entire time even just to get drink refills. We actually would've ordered more drinks and more food, but there was never anyone around to help us. The cleanliness was honestly the most concerning part of the whole experience. The restaurant felt dirty and poorly maintained to the point where I'm genuinely shocked the Health Department hasn't stepped in. It made the entire experience feel uncomfortable and unsanitary. It's disappointing because the place has potential and Ahwatukee could really use a great local sports grill, but based on my experiences, I personally have no interest in returning or spending money there again unless major improvements are made
