Great place to play pool. The staff is great and the pool tables are in good condition and you can tell they take care of them. I don't know the numbers exactly, but I would say there are about 20 7' tables and probably 15-20 9' tables, plus they have a 3 cushion table. Prices are very reasonable. My fave valley spot to yap with friends and have a beer and suck at pool! Love this joint for its infinite pool tables. There was a whole pool tournament happening in the afternoon of 6/21 and we STILL were able to get a pool table to ourselves. The bartenders are always kind and accommodating. I'm not sure why this place only has 3.5 stars. That must be because people that don't really play pool are reviewing. This spot is easily in my top 10 pool halls in the U.S. they have a million tables, all diamond and in excellent condition. They have a flat rate $14 from 11 to 5 and they have 3 super tight pocket diamonds, which I've only ever seen one of at any given location. I don't know and don't care about the food and the service is fine. If you are a pool player and looking for a place to shoot around, this will not disappoint. read more

This place is standard billiard per hour. But the vibe of the staff wasn't very welcoming. They said they had servers coming to your table but someone only came and asked how I was one time. I paid for music on the jukebox and my music started playing toward 1:45. Then the staff started vacuuming during my songs. I don't think that is unfathomable to expect an establishment to stay "open" till the time the say they are OPEN. In my thinking, that doesn't mean at mean start cleaning up to be out BY 2. I have been coming to Main Street Billiards weekly now for several years. It is the best place I have played out of in the Valley. First and foremost they keep the tables in excellent shape, I've seen multiple felt replacements and within the past year all of the 7 foot were replaced with brand new tables. They clean the balls and vacuum the felt nightly. They have a good selection of food and the prices are very reasonable compared to other area pool halls. Everyone I have encountered from the staff to management and ownership are friendly, diligent and many have been working there for years. They work hard to keep trouble out of the building and people passionate about the sport coming back. As a female I walk to my car alone after midnight and have never felt unsafe. League play most weeknights is fun and a friendly environment. read more

This place is sketchy. When you close out at the bar they have hand held card readers. The same you see at many restaurants. They charge your card then rather than pass you the reader to leave a tip LIKE A NORMAL ESTABLISHMENT they ask you then put it in themselves. Never in my life have I experienced this before. Seems like a great way to scam people out of money and input your own amount. If you're not going to allow people to select their own tip at least allow them to write it on a physical receipt. Will be keeping an eye on my bank statements for sure. read more

The pool tables are great, the location and environment is good, I'm just pretty bummed out that soda is like $3.50 or something, and there's no free re-fills. So today my fiance was playing in a tournament from 8am til around 7:30pm, so it was an all day thing and I just thought that price for soda was a little insane. The staff are all really friendly, but even asking for a water they handed him a cup of ice. I honestly looked dumbfounded like what do we do with this, lol. Went here on a Friday night, it was packed but they keep the billiards area clear of extra guests so you always have the room you need. At one point there were some guys hanging around trying to play for table while there was a line, they were quickly ushered away from the tables and pointed in the direction of the wait list. They opened more tables as it got busier and the service was AMAZING. Has the feel of an old Smokey billiards bar, but it is incredibly clean and run very efficiently! We did order food and it was truly just frozen items stuck in an oven. Not a billiards place with food by any means, but got the job done. We left happy and content!! read more

Being from out of town I had already been sorely disappointed by The Rack. So I was cautious in my expectations until we pulled up on our Uber and I could a ton of people inside along with rows of Diamond bar tables. Alongside the Barbox tables they had quite a few regulation 9 ft tables both Diamonds and Gold Crowns. Nicely maintained tables. Unusual for me that you had to ask for cues rather then just having them out. Also since it was league night, we had to wait for a table and ended up shooting on one of the Barbox 7ft tables . Again unusual was that you had to buy tokens to pay game by game. Where I come from Pool halls still just charge by the hour even for 7ft tables. It worked out but just unusual. Overall a good pool hall and great to see what appeared to be a thriving league presence. read more

This is a cool place to hang out with friends and play billiards. I came here on a Sunday night with some friends. It wasn't busy. It was relatively slow but still had some people. The atmosphere was very nice. It wasn't noisy and it was just enjoyable for me to hang out with my friends. I don't really know what is their regular prices here but I know on Sundays they used to make it free for ASU students but now it's $5 for the whole day which isn't really bad. They serve drinks and food here too which is cool. I only been here one time but I'll be sure to come back. read more

I have been coming to Main Street Billiards consistently with my husband (an avid pool player) for the last 5 years, and I am writing this review because I feel they have some good qualities, but also some not so great ones. The atmosphere is very pool player friendly, as well as inviting to people just wanting to hit some balls for fun. However, the service has always needed room for improvement. If you are sitting on the back wall (facing the windows), then prepare to almost never be serviced. You will see the servers walking everywhere else, but that area. Good luck trying to flag them down during a pool tournament, they'll never see you or look your way. Sure, we could go up to the bar and get served, but in the middle of a pool tournament that can be a little challenging, hence the purpose of servers to come to YOU. There have been times where hours have passed by and no one checked in to see if we needed anything. If you are charging almost $4 for a drink and working for tips, you'd think they'd want to make sure everyone is served because I can guarantee you that the 15+ people on that back wall would love refills or to be served for the first time since arriving. Again, this place has good qualities (I.e. good tables to play on, good cocktails, decent bar food), but I will be honest when I say I dread coming here for pool tournaments because of the service alone. I hope you guys can do better!! read more

I rated it a two and here's why: First, the location is a bit far to travel to. Second, upon arriving it was quite difficult to find a parking spot especially on busy nights like the night I went. Keep in mind, there is a Filibertos right in front of the place like wow! Which is a plus because we didn't eat before arriving. Once I got into the place, I had to go to the rest room. It wasn't to dirty, but I noticed there were only two stalls. That was unfortunate because there could be more people wanting to use the restroom and there's only two but that didn't matter because by the end of the night the toilets flooded so it was out of order for the rest of the night. Disappointing. We did order a few drinks but, the customer service sure needs a ton of work and attention from management. Like I asked for a recommendation on what drinks I should order and the worker was rude and shrugged an "I don't know". I was like can you ask someone that would know then?". You can tell she was very uninterested and annoyed I was asking these questions. If your not fit to work in customer service, you shouldn't work somewhere where you have to talk to people. Like how do you not know about what you're selling. Its ridiculous. SO RUDE. That's why I didn't order more drinks and it was 6$ each. A bit pricey. Other than all of that, pretty cool place to play billiards and sip with friends or even good for a chill date night. read more

Ok I've been in here a few times before, and it's been good. Today I came in for a drink. I seen the "cook" touching raw food with no gloves on, and served it. Then wash a pan that he cooked "French Fry's in" in the same sink he washes the bar glass in. I never seen him wash his hands or Change the sink water. I won't be back! For many years came here, apparently there is a new crew or new owner. We were discriminated and he refused to serve us as one of us took a minute to find our ID HE RIGHT AWAY very rudely took our pool sticks from our hands and asked us to leave. There have to be the best tables in the Phoenix metro area!! They have nothing but diamond tables with the classic tournament blue felt! The rails were very active and the tables were so smooth. It felt like you were playing in a sheet of glass. I went here to play in a APA regional tournament and had a blast. They have over 30 tables including some 9 footers. The beer selection is nice and the sound system is good. Would def recommend coming and playing here if you are looking for some great tables. It costs a $1 a game and is well worth it. read more
