Came here after a concert to eat some wings and have a few shots and beers & it was a great time ! Their food is authentic and very delicious zucchini!!! Very friendly staff ! Waited at the bar for about 7-8 minutes on a very dead Wednesday afternoon after work (7:25 pm right now), and I just... didn't get service. A few bartenders or waitresses walked by me, and I was the only one at the bar... I went ahead and left once it started feeling purposeful, without ever being served. Looks unassuming from the outside, inside is total maximalist sports dive bar type vibe. Parking is chill in a private lot shared with some other businesses. Both patrons and staff seem very kind. They offer actual food, snacks, and a good selection of drinks here. Priced pretty reasonably, especially drinks. Chill place to come and just have a conversation. Lemon drop (cocktail) - really pleasant, comes with sugar rim and lemon slice. You can still taste the alcohol but it's not overbearing. Jalapeno poppers - you'd expect the cream cheese to be a bit much, but these were fried nicely and it's pretty good. Not super spicy either. Comes warm, like they'd been in the fryer 30 seconds ago. Loaded skins - tastes better when you're drunk I'd imagine. These were pretty solid however. Comes with a watery ranch. Chicken tenders - surprisingly good classic. If anything, I'd come back and order this again. Chicken was seasoned well. Fries were seasoned well. Everything came hot and fresh. You don't need the dipping ranch it comes with, but if you're feeling saucy that's fine too. Really down to earth place, even if you're not that into sports. Appetizers were solid. They have good happy hour specials and daily specials everyday for less than $12. Onion rings were perfectly crispy and not soggy. Their wings were crunchy, fried and lathered in sauce. It started off OK but then it went downhill. The wings were fine and onion rings/fries basket were ice cold. I told the bartender, and she said she would get a new batch, only to find out they were out of onion rings after waiting again so I ordered tater tots. After abit, I asked the bartender to just give us our check since the server never came around but the one time and I told her the service was bad since no one checked on us while waiting but the one time and wanting another beverage. After waiting to pay, I told the bartender how bad it was and not wanting anything in return, she was rude, crude and downright nasty. Even the table near where I told her about it said the bad service continues! Obviously, she didn't care about our experience and not even an apology but a nasty attitude. Use to love this place... me and my wife would go here for the wing and burger specials.The beer I usually get on draft has been flat and not great and same as the soda. I'd suggest maybe getting something in can or bottle because draft beer isn't it. The last few times we been there the food has gone way down!! They are always doing something different and it hasn't been great. The service from the waitresses is very hit and miss. Sometimes you'll get a waitress who is on top of her game or you'll get the one who seems like she doesn't want to be there. They do have a variety of Sports games on most of the time if not the TouchTunes jukebox is rocking the house. One of my favorite dive bars when visiting my Mesa friends. I have been to the original Woodshed multiple times and can say this one has more going on! Daily Food & Drink Specials, Two Game rooms including Two Billiard Tables, Pinball, Golden Tee, and a Jukebox, and multiple televisions to watch the big game. Make sure you get their Wings or Steak Plate when dining in. If you are only taking in liquid calories, ask for their craft beer selection (they have tons to chose from but keep them in the back). I wouldn't say this is my favorite place to hit in the Valley but definitely a fun one. Good for groups, good for a date, good for people watching, and definitely good for entertainment! If you're in the neighborhood, give them a try. I guarantee you will not be let down. read more

I remember the first time I came to this place and that was over 10 years ago as I was.... wait never mind I don't want to reveal my age!!! The one thing they were known for in the valley were the chicken wings & flavors and when I first came in I was blown away by the flavor profiles and size of the wings. I like the location because its a true local bar that is personal when you keep coming. With so many visits, I've always felt like I wasn't just another person but I had some personal connection with the place. They always have great specials throughout the week and I find it to be a cool spot for late-night. Drinks are poured the old-fashioned way... by hand so expect to get a nice strong drink but they got plenty of draft beers on tap and beer specials that are bound to attract. Tonight we came for a couple of cocktails and I was cravin the wings and fries basket. Server & wings were good but apparently we got the itty bitty chicken committee and the wings in a basket were very small. We did have a few that were the right size but it just didn't balance out hence why the 3-Star review. It's a bar. Not a fancy one. Their beers are pedestrian, but man does the food scratch a particular itch. It's bar food, sure, but that kind of stuff that's laced with crack or something. Okay, I'll admit to being a big big dive bar fan. "The Shed" is basically the model that you can compare others to. The food is great. I haven't had everything on the menu because there's a huge selection. Usually having that large a menu is a detriment but they've got this nailed and obviously refined over the years. The same story for drinks, nice pours, great beer selection, and they even have their specialty cocktails. The service is FANTASTIC! So I came her for my last guilty pleasure meal of the year. There reuben sandwich to be exact on sourdough bread with sweet potato frys for my side. My boy friend got the sourdough cheese burger with added bacon and regular frys with three sides of ranch to go. It Was a busy night. Took about 25mins for the food to come out not bad. When it did the ranch was missing. The server came back out with only two. There pretty good sized so I didint mind that I was still missing one. One I got home I immediately tore into my Reuben sandwich. I could tell something was off ....... There was little to no sauerkraut/ Thousand Island dressing........ Come on now that's the most important part of a Reuben sandwich. Very dissaponting. Kinda made the sandwitch dry. One the bright side the meat was very tender and had explosive flavors that complemented the lightly grilled sour dough bread. This part what saved the sandwich.
