One of the best churrascaría dining experiences I've had! Casa do Brasil is great all-around, from the meats to the salad bar to the service. To start off, they have all of the meats you'd normally expect from a Brazilian steakhouse. The pincanha was incredible as expected, the fraldinha was great, the lamb chops and shrimp were solid, the sausage was very rich and juicy, the pork rib was pretty good if you got a more fatty/juicy piece. The only meat I'd stay away from personally was what I think was a parmesan pork. I loved the grilled pineapple they brought around-- it's a great palate cleanser and the cinnamon they put on it makes it so flavorful. Their salad bar was pretty loaded too, with many different veggies, cheeses, soups, and smaller cuts of meat. I think a decent meal could be made just with the salad bar. The service was phenomenal-- the staff were always checking in on us to make sure we were getting all the meats we wanted and our drinks were full. We never had to wait long to get a cut of meat we were wanting. Overall, it was a fantastic value given that the lunch buffet is around $42 and you will be absolutely satiated afterwards. I got the Brazilian lemonade (really a limeade) which was sooo refreshing. It was sweet but not too crazy sweet like American lemonade. The salad bar was just OK, but I loved their lobster bisque which had real lobster in it. I would totally skip the salad bar if you're trying to optimize your money's worth and eat the meat first. Very well executed from start to finish. Welcomed by Mgmt at the door, choice of rooms to dine in, staff actually pulling my chair out for me. Very good options at the salad bar.... you can go heavy, you can go light, but don't forget a few pieces of bacon. A hint of sweet and heat really works. Even a mini head of lettuce cut in half and scooped out a bit to hold the bacon, tomatoes and blue cheese crumbles. The meats were all hot, juicy and flavorful. The polenta sticks with aioli and hot bananas were a nice accompaniment, as were the cheese rolls, but didn't / don't load up. The meats keep coming. The ribeye and top sirloin stood out. I came here on a Thursday for dinner and had the full experience, which gives you access to the salad bar and 16 cuts of meat for $60. Thursdays are martini happy hour days (martinis are $9 instead of ~$14), so I had a raspberry lychee martini which was fruity and fragrant. The picanha, the pork sausage, and the leg of lamb were my favorite cuts of meat. The grilled pineapple with cinnamon was also a huge favorite, and a great accompaniment to the meat. I didn't eat too much of the sides (the full experience comes with mashed potatoes, crispy polenta, caramelized bananas, and pao de queijo), though the little bit I tried of the caramelized bananas and pao de queijo was very good. I didn't get much from the salad bar either, but I was happy to see delicious beets. Service was great; our waiter regularly checked in with us to ask which cuts of meat we wanted to try more of, and made sure those were brought to our table. Next time, I might try to come for lunch instead of dinner, since it's $20 cheaper. read more

We decided to try out Casa on Saturday. The salad bar was very clean and stocked with all the good stuff. They have a bar in a separate area with seating. The food was exactly what you wood expect. Meat was seasoned well and as always you have the option of medium or medium rare. I did try a shrimp from That skewer and it was a little over seasoned but not over cooked. The only thing that I was not a fan of is there seating arrangements. Very tight so make friends with the table Next to you because you will hear all their conversations. The ambiance was more of a lively chili's /tgif vibe. Kind of surprised that it was rated that high. I decided to try out this place after doing a Yelp search. It's in relatively close proximity to Estancia, which I consider the best restaurant in this category, and I wanted to try to share my comparison on Yelp. Ambiance - Fairly well lit. Bar area had it's own area and was more dark. Silverware and furnishings were consistent with Estancia. Wall decor was a level below. Parking lot was a bit small, but proportional for a smaller restaurant. Front doors were very similar to Estancia. Salad Bar - Had more offerings than Estancia. The salad bar was a little smaller and stacked two and three deep. Variety was great including raw salmon and tuna cuts. Had a steam line to the side. Offered honey bacon during lunch. Cold pasta, the portions I had weren't well prepared, pasta was a little bit under cooked (less than al dente). Meat - Fairly good. Asked for medium but was served well done. Not sure if wait staff understood the difference: rare, medium rare, MEDIUM, medium well, well. Variety was good. Because of the smaller foot print, not quite the same as a traditional Brazilian steak house. Usually there's plenty of wait staff that go to each table. Here, if there are only a few patrons, some well get served well, whereas others will not be offered any meat for long periods. Anyone having a party of two should be aware that you may be overlooked if you don't speak Spanish to develop a rapport with staff. Service - Below average for the meal price. While they seemed nice, not all patrons treated the same. Had to ask for the platanos fritos, after another couple had received theirs shortly after sitting. Sure, call me a Kevin for identifying some service differentiations, but Caso do Brasil definitely made a permanent impression with me. I will not have any team lunches/dinners at that location, nor book it for any vendor or personal meals. I'm from a larger city and to be honest, I've been in search for a good steakhouse in Austin, let alone, a good churrascaria. I've seen signs of this place opening up and been looking forward to try it with hopes that it stacks up to the cuts and quality I'm used to. Good impression started with the basics - amazing cheese bread and Brazilian lemonade. Basics that can easily be messed up which is a sign of how the rest of the meal will pan out. I mean ALL the meats I had were amazing. Perfect char to the picanha to perfectly seasoned lamb chops and just about every side I had on my plate went straight into my mouth. Service was also impeccable and every person was kind and caring to ensuring dinner was top standard. I will be coming back for lunch, brunch, and dinner whenever the craving hits. read more

The staff was overly enthusiastic to the point of ignoring the colored feed me / skip me cards - and we found it impossible to get more than a few words out at a time for our conversation before being interrupted by staff. Came here for the first time last week and Casa do Brasil is now #1 on my list of Brazilian steakhouses in Austin. The salad bar options and quality are SO much better than the nearby Estancia, and as someone who doesn't eat beef, there are lots more chicken and pork options for me than Estancia and Fogo. The cocktails were also great and the service is similar to any other churrascaria I've ever been too and the price is a few dollars cheaper than Estancia. This place rocks!! I've been here twice since it opened and will continue to come back. The food and the service is so good! They have all the cuts that you would typically expect from your favorite Brazilian steakhouses (my favorites are the ribeye, lamb chops, beef rib, bottom sirloin, and picanha) - all cooked to perfection, and they also have some really great options at the salad / hot bar. It was tough not to fill up on the candied bacon. But, what really separates this place apart from some of the other local options is their service and atmosphere. Everyone is extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive and they will happily help you track down whatever cuts you desire. I also really like the atmosphere here because it feels much more casual than some of the other places I've been to. I can enjoy my lunch in shorts, a t-shirt, and a hat without feeling underdressed. As a meat lover, Brazilian steakhouses are wonderful. Picanha truest is one of the most underrated cuts in the United States, and you can get as much as you want here. I typically go to fogo de chao but I decided to try casa do brasil since it was closer to my house. First of, the service was remarkable. Top tier service, the server was great and manager was amazing. The manger came by the table a few times and made sure we had the best experience possible. The quality and seasoning of the meats were perfect. The gauchos were great, always doing there rotation and made sure we were happy. You could tell this place made a team effort. The ONLY room for improvement that I could think of is the chimichurri. It didn't have enough greens like I'm typically used to. It had more oil than I would have liked. I'm not sure if it was just my serving that was like that. Also the salad bar could have been a little bit better, it didn't have eggplant and not much fruit. I was so pleased with my experience there due to the polite and friendly service of the assistant manager whose name I have forgotten due to being so tired. My bad. He is so nice. Nice, big thick steak fries. One of the few places in Austin I could find serving happy hour until 7 pm, and I just made it in time to enjoy a quick meal. Like I said, I wasn't too hungry, so I ordered crab cakes and some Brazilian empanadas. It was so filling, I only finished one of each. My only caveat would be to ask that your food be served piping hot if that's how you like it because it was lukewarm, but still good. The asst. manager asked if I'd ever been to a Brazilian restaurant before after I asked why so many diners were walking past me with plates full of amazing looking food. He explained that you can order a full meal with their extensive salad bar where you serve yourself, then choose from 16 different types of meat at your table. I had to see this salad bar because everyone looked so happy when they passed me and man! What an array of yummy looking food! I've shared pictures and videos because I haven't tried any yet, but I plan to come back when I'm hungry because if you come during happy hour, it's only $21! Now the meats I didn't see, but based on the salad bar spread, I'm sure it's just as amazing. I am very impressed with this restaurant because you pay this much for far less at food trucks and other local restaurants. Reservations for lunch on our 40th Anniversary. We would not have went if we knew there was a free children's meal with adult meal purchase promotion going on. Although the food was good, it was hard to enjoy with the noise generated by the 5 year old at the next table, singing "happy birthday" to everyone at the table. The staff are not at fault. In my opinion it was the parents. We will definitely ask to be seated away tables with unruly children and avoid days where a free kids meal is being offered. We did not enjoy the "full experience" and had to ask for several of the meats to be offered. Maybe the staff were avoiding our section due to the child. I took my BJJ professor here on our way to a tournament in San Antonio. The variety of meats offered were fantastic, they were seasoned well (except one course where they went too hard with the lemon pepper) and perfectly cooked. The service was top shelf and it is slightly underpriced for what you are getting. The ambiance is upscale with nice furniture and fixtures, bathroom was well attended and nice as well. The sausage was incredible, and most of the beef cuts were very good. I was a bit underwhelmed with the Picanha but Fogo seems to do that particular cut better than anyone. The grilled pineapple with cinnamon and a light sprinkle of brown sugar was way too good. I legit thought about asking them to just give me the whole pineapple and I tend to hate warm pineapple. All of the other meats were not seasoned or salted. Now some of them were way too seasoned(lemon pepper lamb chop).I paid roughly 200 plus tip to spit out a lemon pepper lamb chop.
