Amazing experience here on a Saturday evening. We had a heavy brunch at Summerly, so after walking around for hours -- we needed a pisco sour! And we received just that. Freaking idiots running this place!! The place was completely empty! They took sooo long to bring the food. Then we asked for something else because my 80-year-old father, who by the way was supposed a pleasant Birthday Dinner!! He did not like the dish it was terrible so of course they wanted to charge me for practically an untouched dish. They insisted I still pay for the dish and I said no I will not. I had to be persistent and stand my ground. There's no reason why I should spend so much money on a seafood dish that wasn't good. Whatever they finally charged it. Then she comes back to ask if we want the spice for the fish tacos, We say no. She then comes back and says oh we can't remove it it's already in the mix! So why the hell are you asking me?? We were supposed to get tortillas with salsa as a beginner appetizer and it came after 2 of the dishes were already eaten!! Coming from a Boricua - the best latin American food I've had in my life. Favorite items: half chicken, yucca frita, amarillos (sweet plantains). Literally was so good. I think about it daily. And it is very spacious, and they were playing all of the salsa hits. Oh, I forgot about the tostones with guac. Wow. You can't order anything bad off of this menu. It is all IMMACULATE. Never order from here. First they didn't get the order from door dash and and after an hour door dash said the order was delivered and it wasn't. Then called the restaurant and they said they never got the order. THEN we place the same order directly from them and they said it would be ready in 15-20 min, we show up 20 min later, have me pay for it and THEN tell me it will be another TWENTY minutes. Then we sit there outside for 25 minutes and they said the "chicken was still cooking." Absolutely appalling disregard for customer service and the fact that my dog fiancé and I are standing outside waiting when they had ONE TABLE of diners. I live in the area and have been going to Andreas since they opened for the food and happy hour deals they have. Unfortunately, yesterday I had a very bad experience with the waitress Michelle and the server (don't know his name) or usual waitress DIANA (I believe is her name she is the best!) was away. Anyhow, when we arrived at about 6pm the place was really hot so we asked Michelle if we could open the windows since we were at the table in the front of the restaurant but she would turn heater off which was fine it got cool pretty quick, she then came to our table with the menus, my family and I a party of six ordered our food and I attempted to order a margarita and Michelle stopped and said to et her put the food order in first and then she would come back to get the drink order- I found that odd because at any restaurant drink orders are done first... after about 15 minutes or so she comes back and takes our drink. My family got our usual margarita and some got mojitos those are part of the happy hour specials. My family and I continued conversating, I look at the bar and I tell my family these drinks are taking really long to come out (mind you the place was empty like most of the week days me and family go). We continue to wait when i look at the bar again and Michelle is taking pictures of the drinks we ordered like we weren't waiting for 30-40 minutes. The drinks literally came at the same time the food came out. I told the waitress the drinks are beautiful but this is why drink orders are taken at the beginning because now it's difficult to eat and drink at the same time. My family were hungry so we ate. After about another hour, an finally finishing my drink we asked for the check... after Michelle ignoring us and checking in on us. When we get the bill Michelle charged us regular price for the happy hour drinks that were suppose to be $9.00 the whole day as they has advertised by the bag and at the front of the restaurant. "All day Happy Hour" Margaritas, Mojitos etc $9.00. after a few more minutes of waiting (mind you the restaurant is still empty only about 2 ppl at the bar) we finally get Michelle's attention to discuss the bill. Michelle acts clueless and says she doesn't know anything about happy hour, so i told her look at the sign at the bar and sign in front of the restaurant. We explained to her that we're regulars and we're usually charged $9.00 for classic flavor margarita or mojito and additional $2.00 if we want a flavor. So she goes back to the bar registers, and after more waiting she's on the phone with the owner, comes back to our table to let us know that promotion is only for the Bronx location and that only classic flavor were apart of the happy hour- so i asked a waitress when did you explain that to us... you didn't even know it was happy hour. The whole time we're there Michelle's attitude was ridiculous and I got fed up and I told her you know something that has been the worst service we've had here and as a reminder we're regulars that are usually a party of 6-8 ppl and you're really rude and we're not going to want to come back. And i asked Michelle to please pass me the phone because the owner needed to know how we were treated since we walked in. After more waiting... the owner I guessed called back and Michelle had the server bring me the business phone. Cynthia the owner explained that the usual waitress DIANA would be getting fired because the additional $2.00 flavor drinks is not a special for the happy hour. I told Cynthia that's not something she should be telling a customer that I wanted to speak with her about my experience today, so I went on and explained everything I wrote on here from beginning to end. Cynthia continued mentioning to me the firing of DIANA- and i explained to her that she needs to fire the waitress and server that took care of us today. Cynthia finally apologized and said due to their error of not properly advertising what was part of the happy hour she would charge us $9.00 for all the drinks we ordered. i thanked her and walked to bar and handed the phone back to Michelle, she took it and i told her Cynthia want to speak with you, at which Michelle puts the phone on the counter looks at me with an attitude and basically ignored. After more waiting... she moved to the back of the restaurant to speak to Cynthia while we waited to pay the bill. She took forever and never came back. the server comes up to me to apologize and i told him he's not helping and we just want to pay. Since Michelle was making us wait more we left the check and cash on the counter with the server- we paid for the regulars price drinks but did not include a tip because of the horrible service. There's a reason this place is empty in Williamsburg on a Friday night. Let's start with the appetizers. We got some boiled potatoes slathered in watered down wasabi paired with (clearly frozen) French fries and shaved and fried Hebrew National hot dogs which the claim is "salchicha." I'm sorry hot dogs are not really sausages. My main course was supposed to be grilled salmon but I don't think it was grilled I think it was mummified. The Margarita was just triple sec and lime juice. They get 1 star for the only good thing there; the caipirinha. Please avoid this place. It was horrible. I've been here twice. Been going here for a while and in the past I would've said that its a hidden gem. But the service is absolutely terrible now. You'll get seated fairly quickly but it will take your waiter about 30 minutes to take your order. Following that your waiter won't return to your table until your food is served. Which was about an hour later. Also the check apparently takes another 30minutes to produce. As a matter of fact I had to go to the bar to request it because apparently the waiter forgot we had asked for it. We had even gone so far as to call the restaurant to ask for it. Everything in the menu is delicious from the steaks , chicken, seafood and the drinks. The poritions are also very generous. Highly recommend to give this restaurant a chance if you havent. We need to talk. First, the bathroom. Instead of soap they dilute hand sanitizer with water. They use toilet paper that feels like millimeter thick sandpaper. Moving on. The chicken was 9 bucks with no sides. They say half I say quarter. It had no flavor besides salt. No pepper, no paprika, nothing. Aji out of the bottle. We were the only table in the restaurant and it took over 45 minutes to get our food. Once the food did arrive, the paella which is $30 was completely dry and undercooked seafood. The peas in the rice were hard and it was all clearly rushed. The enchilada tortillas tasted old/stale and it was more chicken than any other ingredient. Any time we asked for anything the service took forever. Even after we expressed our concerns, we were just met with more delays and they did nothing to better the experience. Peruvian food is one of my favorite cuisine, so I have tried a lot of Peruvian restaurants throughout nyc. I have to say that this was one the best chicken, rice and beans I've ever had! Me and my husband ordered half chicken, rice and beans. The chicken was absolutely perfect, cooked to perfection, moist inside and juicy outside. It was very well seasoned as well. The green sauce was a little on the spicy side but it was flavorful and delicious. The rice and beans were very good and flavorful. They also included salad with our meal which was great. The portion was perfect for 2 people. I will definitely try out other things on the menu next time! Will recommend to my friends as well. read more

We stumbled upon this gem today and had a spectacular meal of Peruvian roast chicken, the best beans I've ever had (and I'm Indian I know my beans), yellow rice and avocado salad. The staff was excellent. Be prepared to wait a slight bit as this food is hot off the presses and made fresh to order. Incredible and much better than Pio Pio, which was a former favorite of mine. The combo would also travel well for take out and we plan to do that during the depths of winter. Try this new neighborhood spot out for a healthy and varied meal! Que rico! read more

Stumbled across this place in Williamsburg and it was extremely worth it. They have a new outdoor dining spot which was empty even though neighboring places' outdoor dining areas were full - I guess the restaurant is relatively new so people may not know about it yet but the food here is amazing! There are outdoor heaters provided too (it was 35-40 degrees tonight but did not feel very cold at all). Cocktails are great too! read more

I love this spot. It has opened recently but I have been to it countless times. The servers are pretty good and the food maintains a high level of quality with every dish. It is also well seasoned. Found this restaurant on Yelp and I can glad we did. It was very clean and welcoming. The Maracuyá Pisco Sour was DELICIOUS. We ate Causa rellena con pulpo (octopus) and OMG was a delicious dish. The fried calamari were cooked to perfection. The hot sauce keeps you coming for more. We also ate a Pescado a lo Macho and the fish was cooked good. The aguadito was yummy . The Tallarines saltado de Pollo were also good. We ordered a ceviche which was okay. I personally prefer the fish cut smaller since it reduces that "fishy" smell. We will definitely be eating at this restaurant again. read more
