Always enjoy every visit to Carvers - the pretzel is a must, their pork green chili soup is excellent, their house brewed root beer is also a favorite in our family! read more

Good Tatanka burger - I tend to avoid bison/buffalo patties as I feel like it's always really too lean for a burger but the other toppings swayed me (get inside of me, green chiles). This one turned out to not be overly dry, which was a pleasant surprise. I went no garlic aioli, not being much of a garlic fan, but unfortunately the burger had some "off menu" raw red onions, which I could have done without. Please put that kind of thing on the menu if you're going to serve it on the burger...some people don't like that. But that misstep aside, the aforementioned juicy and not overcooked burger was good, as was the bacon, cheese, and green chiles. Plus the fries were like...really meaty curly fries? Like...spiral cut potato almost, not "normal fry diameter" but not overly thick like a steak fry. Really good form factor for dipping, I encourage this. As with all these brew pubs, I didn't imbibe, but they have a decent looking list of stuff. I did see a 100+ IBU beer, so finally a place with something my mother would drink, nothing ever has enough hops for her. But with her luck, they'd have been out of it, I don't think she's gotten her first choice on drinks in 10 years now. I could see coming back if I was in the area and just needed this kind of food, this was totally satisfying. read more

Yelp needs to change. No breakfast served since June of last year. Yelp can't change the status. I had a hair in my food didn't take pic. Other then that husband's burger was ok. He shared. read more

I just knew that if I hunted long enough there'd be a beer that'd make me want a second on a recent trip to the southwest. Carver Brewing was the beer hall that made that happen. The bonus of an outstanding cobb salad and nifty sides would make me a return customer if it wasn't an 1166 mile drive. The service was just fine too. read more

Great service, good food! If you're in Durango this is a great spot to stop for beer and food!!!

Great place, as sone you walk in they make you feel welcome, the front of the store has outside seating, indoor seating and they have a great patio on the back, clean restroom, clean tables, great atmosphere and family friendly they have great food base on 2 items we got, the BEER IS GREAT, not a lot of selection but they have something for everyone, outstanding customer service, Max really took care of us. read more

Skip Steamworks and eat here. Better beer, better service, better food, better baked goods.

Alex is a great bartender. Gave us great information on the menu. The food we ordered was delicious that atmosphere was perfect. We just stumbled upon the place trying to watch some football. read more

First and foremost, Carver makes the best beer in the Durango area. Period. Hands down. No competition. To top it off, their food is excellent too. We tried the Hermosa salad and the steak quesadillas. The salad was excellent and the quesadilla was one of the best I have ever had. And finally the root beer and ginger beer are both excellent too. Definitely recommend this place, must visit while in Durango! read more

Nice brewery, with options for dining in the front area or going out back (inside and out) for drinks. Cool atmosphere inside. I would have given it 5 stars but lame options for Stouts and Porters. I had one to choose from. read more

We walked in on a busy night and were expecting a long wait but were surprised to be seated within 10 minutes. As a former waiter I was impressed with how all levels of staff from hostess to the waitstaff worked seamlessly to keep food and drinks moving and they did it all with a smile. The beers were pretty darn good - my favorite was the double IPA. The burger was huge and delicious and the "cork-screw" fries were something to behold. Some of the best fries I've had - seasoned and cooked to perfection. read more

I only review Ranch: I give Carver a 4.8 out of 10 for ranch. The consistency was too runny for my liking. Too much sauce not enough herb and flavor. After a dip or two I switched from dipping my sandwich in ranch to using the tomato soup (which was great btw). A recommended combo - Italian pesto sandwich with the tomato soup. If you're a Midwesterner and NEED your ranch... skip it this time... and dunk straight into the soup. read more

Carver was recommended by some of our friends. We were not disappointed. Food was excellent. Loved the Buffalo wings. Was a bit noisy at first, but being early evening, the place was busy so no real, complaint. read more

They have a delicious stout beer that is not to be missed. You can also sit either outside or inside. We always chose outside to enjoy the weather. read more

Only came for two beers which were enjoyed. We opted to stand at the four top outside bar due to COVID, but benefited from the view of the 1800s Durango store fronts and backdrop of Colorado Mountains. I had the New England Hazy IPA (good) and Erin enjoyed the Scotch Ale. read more

Great place for a burger and beer! We sat at a bar top table that's situated both inside/outside. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. Will return when in the area! read more

Wouldn't know if they had good beers or not. We got seated right away outside. Hostess was super nice. Rude server made eye contact several times and checked on surrounding tables more than once. No "I'll be right with you guys" nothing. Nada. Zip. We left. Bummer wanted to try carver beers. Guess we will head to steamworks. Update: tried again the next day. Ordered a big bike iipa and a Yankee boy ipa. Seated right away in the bar area. Beer only. Bartender was a nice guy and acknowledged us within 5 minutes. Solid beers. We enjoyed both of them. Gave them another try due to the fact that I feel horrible leaving a 1 star review because of 1 awful server. Upgraded to 3 stars from 1. read more

Service was near excellent. We came in with a large group coming off the CO Trail. Our server and the bus staff were on top of almost everything, water refills, clearing plates, etc. Unfortunately, our server didn't check in on us after our meals came. I was told they wouldn't cook bison less than medium to well, "no pink." I switched my order to a beef burger and asked for medium-rare to rare. It was cooked medium-well; no pink to be found. Either the cook doesn't know how to cook anything less than medium-well or they choose to not cook any of the red meat medium or less. Even medium should have a hint of pink. I don't drink so can't comment on the beer but the root beer was quite tasty! read more

Pleasant ambiance with outstanding food. Hubby had smoked wings with amazing blue cheese dressing. I had artichoke dip in a bread bowl. It was delicious. Love the burger here! The twisty fries are so good too! Expect to wait most days. But not too bad.

Had lunch here. Great food - hubby had chicken enchiladas, said they were delicious. I opted for chimchurri quinoa bowl -- healthy and delicious. Friendly staff and good beer, too. Great outdoor seating. read more

Fantastic! Everything about Carver's was fantastic. The service, the food, the beer, the atmosphere. We started with the pretzel and even our picky eater loved it, we should have ordered two! The cheese sauce was so delicious that I changed my order to the mac & cheese- highly recommend. The kids meals were served on frisbees that the kids got to keep, so obviously a win there. We were quoted a 45 min wait, but were able to sit in about 30 min. Even if it were an hour wait, I'd do it again! read more

Yum. In one word, this place is yum. We had a big party and got: nachos, quesadillas, sausage plate, burger, chopped steak, mac n chz. All were yum. Everyone left happy and full. Portions were nice. Service was impeccable. They accidentally left beans on the nachos, but were super great about fixing the error quickly and friendly. Definitely recommend. read more

As out of towner's, our waitress Charrisa provided great recommendations for the restaurant and what to do in town! The Mountain Mac was great after a cold day, and the Tatatanka burger was absolutely phenomenal! Would easily put 10/10 if i could! read more

Love the Raspberry Wheat Ale! I like to add a lemon. I also LOVED the pretzel steak sandwich!

This place was amazing! My gf and I were in town for 3 days, we went to Carver 3 times in 2 of the days. The beer was tasty, the bar staff was very friendly and the food was... Absolutely delicious! The soft pretzel they have right now for oktoberfest was pretty much perfection, so much so that we decided to return for dinner. I had the steak sandwich, omg... I could eat that everyday. My gf had the Buffalo burger which was also very tasty. The house made rootbeer was also a very nostalgic and pleasing. Shout-out to the best bartender, Stephanie, she was extremely friendly and informative when we asked about the area. The gentleman that served us the pretzel for lunch time was also very friendly and knowledgeable, but I didn't catch his name. All in all, it's a must go. read more

Stopped by after a long hike up the Ice Lakes. Had some beer and great food. Green chili burger was great. Wife had salmon which she loved. Service was a little slow and that's the only reason they didn't get 5 stars. But I'll be back for sure. read more

The food and beer were excellent, as was the very friendly service. Good atmosphere in gorgeous Durango. Hopefully we'll be back!!

Living in Durango, I have occasion to eat at many of the restaurants here. Carver Brewing is one of my options when I need something more relaxed with good beer, predictably good food, and service that is always pretty good. Can't go wrong choosing here for a meal. Not necessarily a 'foodie' place imo, but good nonetheless. read more

Every time we eat here, there is always something that goes wrong with our order/food. My son was enjoying his meal up until he threw up. That was when we noticed his milk was spoiled and didn't want anymore of anything. We told the waitress that his milk was spoiled and was given a new one. We weren't charged the milk. I gave it a one star because this isn't the only incident that it has happened whenever we eat here. read more

Everything that I have had is good and I enjoyed it all. Great beer selection from their own award winning microbrewery.

Solid burgers, friendly staff, good beer. Tiny establishment with a somewhat odd vibe with dark green carpet and then commercial tiles and a low ceiling - it reminds me of a strip mall joint. But the decor/architecture aside, it's a solid spot. Always appears busy. read more

Just had the best lunch since landing in Durango! Very friendly service by both Kathy and Rylee! Amazing food! The strawberry salad on special was so tasty and refreshing-- and the bleu burger.. best I've had in town. Very cool take on French fries, they were seasoned perfect and tasted amazing. Oh and on top of all that best margarita I've had since I've been in Colorado-- and I've had a lot. Thanks for the awesome lunch! 10/10:) read more
