Worst dealer experience ever! Run don't walk away from Carvana. I have bought and sold more than 15 cars in my life. I am familiar with the car buying process. I had a car under contract. Sent the documents in a timely manner. According to them, the email address they gave to me AND the credit union is "unmonitored". Why would not just ONE, but MULTIPLE employees give the same address to send loan approval documents? Why have an unmonitored email address? AND then give it out to customers? FRAUD? All of the conversations were recorded. The "executive" at Carvana confirmed the email address and information I was given was provided by THEIR employees. I followed all of their procedures. Carvana said the documents were not seen by their underwriting team to an email address I was given by their employees!, so the car was placed back on sale and available. Someone came in and purchased the car I had a contract and the financing on. I can only guess the new buyer used their financing which they can make more money on. They were unwilling to cancel the other parties transaction even though I had a prior claim to the car. The response I received was "sorry, human error. How about $500 off any car we have?" F YOU! Unbelievable incompetence and/or FRAUD! I have filed a complaint with the Arizona Secretary of State. Buyer Beware!!! Worst dealer experience ever! Run don't walk away from Carvana. My experience using carvana didn't start off great. I liked 3 cars and saved them in my queue to review and decide. Then I singled out one and decided to move forward with the purchase. Once I hit the button to proceed with the financing and got my quote the next steps were torturing and taxing. First off checking the status updates 3x's a day and nothing changed for 2 months. Then only being given 72 hours to submit more information. I was working out of the area and missed my deadlines but noticed they had already withdrawn from my bank account. Then the bank warned me that they had heard of bad reviews and people's bank accounts being drained. ( that was reassuring)!!!! I was under a lot of stress during this process and it took another 2 weeks before I finally got a message that the car was was now available and ready to be picked up. The lack of communication and availability needs to be fixed. I suggested asking for an advocate for assistance and keeping that number on speed dial. One more week of waiting for my scheduled pick up. Then the morning of, it was Saturday and I was the only one there. I was again feeling a little insecure about the whole situation. Finally someone pulls up and they disappear inside. I rang the bell like for 20 minutes while I waited in the cold/ wind.. having to need a restroom . Then I hear a click. The door unlocked but still I see no one. I use the bathroom and waited another 15 minutes before someone came and introduced themselves Aaron he said. He said let me confirm your schedule and be right back. It was Erie and too laxed for my comfortability. Another 15 minute wait before he came back out. Just didn't seem like they were as prepared for my arrival as I was. Then another employee showed up and a second customer. That's where I felt like it was ligit. This was really happening and I could get excited. They gave me a coin to drop in the machine and watch it come down from the hydrolic lift. At least it was the correct vehicle. Lol! It spun around in 360 degrees and one last look and what was about to be mine. It slides over to the exit doors and they gave me the coin used to drop. I get to keep this heavy paperweight ! Lol thanx guys.... then Aaron goes out to turn the car, lights and opens my doors and says take a good look around the vehicle so it's to your satisfaction. Ok!! Looks good, let's GO! BYE! SEEEEE YA!!!.... vrooooommmmm!! Off I went into the morning sun in my 2018 Jaguar XF (black) 29,000 original miles transported from Florida to Denver Co. I'm pleased to say I'm loving my car. 1-1-2024 read more

I began my vehicle order a week before my wife's birthday. I was going to trade in my pickup to get a gas mileage car for my wife. The trade in process was VERY simple, I kept thinking they would alter the value of my trade in for any dog hair inside or somthing, but it was what they said it was. My wife picked the car and then I ordered it. Delivery was scheduled the day of her birthday one week later, but then a few days later I was notified the delivery was delayed a week. I had to resign the contracts online which was inconvenient but very simple. I called them hoping for an earlier date they accommodated and said in 2 days it would be at the delivery hub (Friday at this point). Friday comes and no car, I got an email late Friday night saying delivery was postponed again. It was Monday before I could call them, so first thing Monday morning I called. They have an automated voice recording that will take your number and not leave you stuck on hold. It gives you an estimated wait time, which previously had been accurate. This time it said wait time was less than 5 minutes. 4 hours later I called them again and got the same automated voice line saying wait time under 5 minutes. They called back about 15 minutes later which was fine. They told me the reason for the delay and gave me the earliest possible delivery date. I was a bit off put because it wouldn't be until Friday. At this it was 3 weeks since purchasing the new car, I had already paid the first payment and my insurance was scheduled to be canceled on my truck two weeks before. Though a lot of this review may sound like bad things, I wanted to detail my experience, the drop off day everything went very smoothly and the down payment was taken from my account that day. The delivery fee is included in the financing. I used 3rd party financing through my bank. Carvana was great at communicating while I waited, and never lied to me I felt. The one thing about my new car I disliked was that there was a strong odor of cigarettes we are still working to get out. But other than that I am glad I didn't have to deal with a dealership. I would recommend and would use it again! read more

I really, really wanted to like this process. I've purchased vehicles through both traditional dealerships and through Tesla, which requires a similar ordering process to Carvana. Tesla had the process down and knew what they were doing, while Carvana seems to still be figuring it out. Pros: + Great selection + Easy to secure (not purchase) the vehicle + Delivery was efficient, albeit a week late Cons: - Extremely cumbersome purchase process, which had to be resubmitted due to a technical error on their side. - Delayed delivery by a week due to "logistical issues" with no explanation or assistance since we had made plans expecting the car to be delivered then. - The weight slip required by my state for out of state vehicle purchases was lost and Carvana couldn't locate, so they required me to resubmit. - The required registration information wasn't submitted from Carvana to my state until 13 days before our temporary tag expired. 4 days before the expiration, I contacted Carvana to seek information on how to proceed with obtaining an extended temporary tag, and they stated that I needed to wait until the *day of* expiration to inquire. - Sought a temp tag extension as directed on day of expiration, only to learn that they will not extend the temp tag and issued a refund of $500 for inconvenience. When asked what I should do to legally operate my vehicle until registration is complete, they instructed me to seek public transportation or ride share services... I'm bummed that this turned out this way, as I had hoped to use the convenience of this process for future purchases. Despite being over a decade old, they seemingly don't have the process figured out, nor did they seemingly care about the folks that that really impacts. read more

From the moment I reached out to them, I was impressed with their professionalism and efficiency. The process of selling my car to Carvana was incredibly straightforward. Josh, the Carvana representative who assisted me, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He took the time to explain each step of the process and answered all of my questions with patience and clarity. Absolutely Amazing Car Buying Experience at Carvana Denver! I cannot say enough great things about my experience purchasing a Jeep Gladiator from Carvana in Denver! From start to finish, this was hands down the easiest and most enjoyable car-buying experience I've ever had. Finding the perfect Jeep Gladiator was effortless thanks to Carvana's user-friendly website, which made browsing, comparing, and purchasing completely stress-free. Within minutes, I found exactly what I was looking for at a price that was well below all competitors! No haggling, no hidden fees--just a straightforward, transparent buying process. The best part? My Gladiator was ready for pickup in less than a week! When I arrived at the Carvana Vending Machine in Denver, the experience was next-level! The car buying experience with Carvana was decent with a few exceptions. First, the online purchasing experience was quick and mostly painless. I feel they gave us a fair trade-in for our car and the price of the car we purchased was a fair price. The first issue I had with them was I wanted to pay cash for the balance on the car but the only way to do so is using the Plaid app to link my bank to theirs but Plaid doesn't link to my bank for some reason. Carvana doesn't offer any other options, they don't accept cash, check, credit card or any other form of payment - only using Plaid. Since Plaid doesn't link to my bank my only option was to get a loan to buy the car which, in my opinion, is a huge issue and was extremely frustrating. I ended up getting a loan from them then paying it off before the first payment was due. The other issue we had was receiving the car, they told us we would get the car a week after we purchased which was fine but the night before it was to arrive they told us the car wouldn't be coming for another 10 days due to transportation issues. I think they could have done a better job with getting the car to us sooner and they could have told us a bit sooner there were transportation issues. read more

I had a fantastic experience with Carvana. I had been planning to trade my car in for an SUV at another place. When I got to the part of signing my name the seller became very shady and I decided to back out. My situation then changed and I needed to just sell my car outright. I contacted a couple places about whether they could provide me with a ride home or come and pick the car up but none would. I reached out to Carvana and they not only offered me a great price but would come and pick up the car. I sold a car that was around 5 years old for close to what I bought it for! I have kept it in good condition and the miles were low. They really helped me out of a financial jam! I wish I could remember the lovely woman's name that came to pick up the car. She was so sweet, professional and funny. She answered all my questions and was patient with me when I had to find a couple items for her. The sale was easy and the car was towed away before I knew it. I would definitely use them again to sell or buy a car! read more

We've been looking for a car for months and started with traditional dealerships. After struggling for months to find what we were looking for (and dealing with salespeople), we shifted our efforts over to Carvana. We were a bit unsure of what the experience would be like but it was so wonderful from start to finish. Honestly, I can't say enough great things about going through Carvana. The drop off process was quick and easy and we loved that we were able to drive the car around for a week before committing. We even took the car to a shop to have them check it out and the only thing they could find was that the tire tread was low. When we reached back out to Carvana about that issue they were very helpful in resolving it with us. We felt like cared about customers. We have been driving our car for a few weeks now and we love it! Best prices, best customer service, and best convenience. read more

i absolutely hated there customer service i do not recommend them to anyone there ads are all lies and if ur like me trying to sell or trade or just sell your car go somewhere else besides carvana because they suck and dont know what there doing and they also think its funny to laugh while they leave you voicemails trying to figure out why you ended the call so fast i will never go back to carvana for any car question or reason of any sort because im trying to get a new car before mine gets above plus 100,000 miles so i will never go back to there website again bc they will constantly ask you to put money down even if u dont have money to put down if u were in my shoes trying to get a newer car with lower mileage those people were rude and immature for my liking i will never ever go back for how they treated me on the phone very very rude read more

The experience with purchasing the vehicle is top notch. The delivery was also top notch. The first claim through the ins is a whole different experience. Upon delivery and inspection there were new scratches along the whole side of my vehicle informed the delivery person who did verify they were new scratches. Was notified that I would have to lv my car with a body shop for a week and that I will be reimbursed for a rental car after my car is fixed and the ins claim has been satisfied and then they would see if my rental car would be covered. This is the only hiccup with the process. I really cannot afford to rent a car which will cost almost as much as a monthly car payment. My first car payment is December but now that I have to rent a car I will have a rental car payment almost as much as a car payment for November as well. read more

Pleased with the experience thus far. As a mother of 2 kids, I needed a larger vehicle. I traded in my 18 Honda Accord for a 18 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. I was nervous about purchasing something as big as a vehicle online but it went very smoothly. You can test drive your car within the 7 day window and ensure you're happy with it prior to fully committing. Additionally, I know a dealership would've offered me less for my Accord. The whole dealership experience even at its best is just never good. I've always dreaded the haggling and salesman shenanigans. Carvana informed me there could be delays in registration due to Covid and have been great about updating me through the process. I love my car and would recommend the Carvana buying or selling experience to anyone. read more

I recently purchased a vehicle from Carvana, and my experience has been nothing but frustrating. The car had multiple issues that should have been addressed during inspection. Not only were there engine problems like multiple cylinder misfires, but I also discovered a cracked taillight that doesn't work, and the keyless entry was not functional. On top of that, the AC and heater don't even reach the desired temperature, which is another major inconvenience. This car does not drive well. Its clear the inspection process was not thorough, and I'm now working with the warranty company to cover these repairs. I expected a higher level of quality and transparency when purchasing from a dealership like Carvana. Sadly, this has not been the case. read more

I purchased a 2018 Nissan 370Z back in December 2019 from Carvana. I sold it back to Carvana in September 2024. A very easy peasy transaction. They made an offer, and came back a couple hours later with an increased offer, due to the body style, etc. In this particular situation, I sold it back to them close to the price I originally purchased it. (It had very low miles and the vehicle was babied and garaged.) The Carvana guy that picked up the vehicle was very nice, professional, and on time. My electronic deposit for the sale was in my account the next morning. It was great experience not having to haggle with a slimy dealership or dealing with people who just wanted to drive the vehicle (non-serious buyers). read more

I bought a car from Carvana and it has been a nightmare. They are a rip off. They sold me a Nissan Rogue which has a history of transmission problems, recalls, and multi hundred million dollar class action law suits. They told me to take my car with a bad transmission to an authorized repair shop in Austin which did not fix it. When I moved to Colorado, they told me to take it to another shop where it sat for a week and then they told me to take it to a Nissan dealership. They told me to take it to any dealer and then after this was done, they told me to tow it to another dealership. Do not do business with Carvana or their warranty company Silver Rock. They could care less about customer service. read more

Honestly, I didn't know car buying could be this easy. I was able to trade in my vehicle and purchase new all in one swift appointment. and I love that my new car was delivered to me and they picked up my old one! Only bummer was a small issue with the front bumper (it's hard to see if you are not away of it). But the Carvana advocate that delivered my vehicle promptly submitted the claim to the warranty company who then emailed less than 24 hours later with all of the approved local shops to go to and the process of getting it fixed through them. easy peasy! Grateful the process was smooth sailing and I LOVE my 2020 Toyota 4Runner! read more

My experience was great! I received updates every step of the way. I spoke to a phone representative who walked me through the entire process and what to expect. She was very personable and asked me if I had any questions and assured me that they are here if I have any worries or questions. My car was delivered a day earlier due to the snow! Jerod was amazing! He was very friendly and answered all of our questions. They have let me know that there may be some delays in registering my vehicle due to COVID-19. However, they continue to update me via text. Smooth process all around! From my experience, I would recommend Carvana! read more

Completely, 100%, hands down, the absolute best car buying experience I've ever had. Nothing else even compares. It was a easy as buying an apple from the grocery store. The only thing I don't understand is why did it take the car industry 100 years to figure this out? I can't see myself ever using anyone but Carvana for a used car ever again. If they get into selling new cars, then it would be game over for all car dealerships everywhere. Even after the sale was made, Carvana did things that no company would ever even consider doing for a customer. Wonderful buying experience with customer service that should get 6/5 stars. read more
