Bought a 2018 Forester from this group and within one week it was leaking oil from the CAM shafts, the battery died, the replaced hood shifted about an inch and it was burning coolant severely. Subaru quoted me 4.5K because the issue was blown head gaskets and battery replacement. I took it back to Denver Motors and they told me they "fixed" the gaskets but could not provide receipts of parts or show any proof of work done. This is when Moe admitted to not being a certified auto shop. The problem persisted obviously and Moe and the owners refused to take my call or reimburse me for the battery that I had to pay for. The car was STILL UNDER their measly 1K mile warranty and they were refusing to help. I was promised a simple phone call about a dozen times and never received it. They were rude, condescending, snake-like and an overall terrible business to work with. Please be cautious when considering buying from this group. Eventually, I ended up giving the broken Subaru to Toyota because the cost to fix the vehicle was going to be so high.

The issue caused significant damage and could have become a much larger safety concern. It was an incredibly frustrating experience, and while there may be differing opinions about whether something like this could have been identified during the Blue Certified inspection, I appreciate that Freeway Ford took the time to review everything carefully and hear our concerns. What really stood out to me was how Freeway Ford handled the situation. Even though they weren't required to do so, they agreed to cover half of the repair costs as a gesture of goodwill. That willingness to work with us and help reach a fair resolution says a lot about how they value their customers. I especially want to recognize Dustin, our sales manager. He has been fantastic from the day we purchased the truck through the resolution of this issue. He has been responsive, honest, accommodating, and consistently kept us informed throughout the entire process. It's clear he genuinely cares about his customers and wants to do the right thing. I also want to thank Joe, the service manager, for taking great care of us. He thoroughly inspected the truck, addressed our concerns, and made sure everything was corrected so we could leave feeling confident the issue had been resolved and wouldn't happen again. His professionalism and attention to detail were greatly appreciated. While no one hopes to experience an unexpected repair so soon after purchasing a vehicle, what matters most is how a dealership responds when something does happen. Dustin, Joe, and the entire team at Freeway Ford handled a difficult situation professionally and fairly, and for that, we're grateful. Thank you for standing behind your customers.

On March 31, 2026, Barbee's Freeway Ford of Denver sold me an $80K truck with no title and no…read moredisclosure of that fact. The VISOR VIN app declared that the truck had been for sale for a full 30 days when I purchased it, but I guess BFF never intended to title the truck in their name. On April 13th, when I attempted to register the truck in my state of Arizona, I was told I must have a paper title from BFF. I contacted salesman Shawn Tuggle, and his text response was simply that "...it takes time to get a title." That is not true when you legally own the vehicle you are selling, because you already hold the title. A BFF title clerk called, and she told me it could take weeks to get the title, and if my CO temp tags expired on May 29th, they could be extended. Later that day, Shawn texted that I would receive a call from "Joe the sales manager". Neither Joe nor any other BFF representative (other than the title clerk) ever called with explanation, update, or apology. CO Revised Statute 42-6-112 requires that a dealership deliver a title to the customer within 30 days. At 30 days, the title still wasn't delivered, and I filed a criminal report with the CO Department of Revenue. By May 14th, BFF still had not delivered a title and were in violation of the law, and my CO temporary tags were fast approaching the May 29th expiration. A criminal investigator with the CO DOR informed me that temporary tags cannot be extended for out-of-state sales, contrary to the lie that the BFF title clerk told. That would leave me with no legal vehicle to operate. Salesman Shawn Tuggle sold me the truck knowing that I was purchasing it from Arizona with the intent of immediately travelling the country full-time with a travel trailer, yet at no point did he or any other representative of BFF disclose that the truck had title issues and that these issues would become mine. As a result, the cross-try RV travel that I purchased the truck for would be foolish to commence. Escalating the situation didn't help. My emails to Director of Operations Brent Danner on April 14 and May 14 were ignored, as were May 14th emails to sales and financing managers Doug Lawrence, Ron Garretsen, and Joe Bejarano. Apparently, avoiding difficult topics gets one promoted at BFF. It was not until May 20th, fifty-two days post sale, that BFF delivered a title that should have been delivered at the time of sale. The stress and limitations that FF had caused were very real. I regret buying from Barbee's Freeway Ford of Denver, but I'm sure they have no regrets. They have the eighty thousand, four hundred six dollars and seventy cents that I paid in cash. Mr. Tuggle has his commission, and management was comfortable ignoring me and the hardship they caused. Why not, it takes time to get the title, right Shawn? The CO DOR informed me that BFF would be receiving a warning letter.

READ THE REVIEWS IN ORDER OF LOW TO HIGH FIRST, THROUGHLY REVIEW DOCUMENTS BEFORE SIGNING!!!!…read more I am writing this less than a month after purchasing my vehicle, and I genuinely wish my experience had remained positive. The vehicle had a clearly displayed advertised price at the dealership. However, when I later reviewed my final contract carefully, the sale price reflected in the paperwork was higher than what had been presented to me during the sales process. In addition, the down payment terms did not align with how they were originally explained. The way the deal was structured ultimately increased the total amount financed beyond what I believed I was agreeing to. The document signing process moved very quickly, and I did not feel I was given adequate time to thoroughly review each line item before signing. It was only after taking the paperwork home and reviewing it independently that I noticed the differences between the represented price and the contract price. Separately, I only became aware of the tire issue because one tire began losing air. I cannot say whether the nail was present at the time of purchase. However, when I attempted to have the tire repaired, I was informed that it could not be patched due to tread measuring 2 and 3. That is at or below the minimum legal safety standard in most states, including Colorado. Tires do not reach that level of wear within just a few weeks of normal driving, which indicates this condition existed at the time of sale. This was not clearly disclosed to me now I to over $800. Because of the pricing discrepancies and safety concerns, there is now an active review regarding the transaction. I also want potential buyers to be aware that customers are strongly encouraged to leave a positive Google review while still inside the dealership before yo are given the keys or sign for paperwork. At that point, you have not had time to fully review your paperwork or independently inspect the vehicle. I now understand why some reviews appear to be updated later. I walked in excited and trusting. Less than a month later, I am dealing with unexpected financial and safety concerns. I encourage anyone purchasing a vehicle to independently verify the advertised price against the contract, review every document carefully, and have the vehicle inspected before committing. I truly wish my experience had been different.
