You're greeted when you walk in with a sales associate mentioning the deals, and asking if you need help with finding something. It's very clean and tidy in the store and well-lit. When we walked through the store to peruse the selection, there were a lot of cute button downs and of course now with spring/summer you have dresses, tees, shorts, etc. I also saw some office type clothes like a blazer which I'm now on the lookout for with my new role being essentially fully in-office no remote, so time to update my wardrobe. I ended up snagging the heart button down that was on clearance. They had a decent clearance section for women but I didn't see any for men or kids, just regular priced and/or sale items. I also saw nice accessories and adorable socks. The sales were ranging from 40-60% from what I remember, and when I walked into the store initially I also saw that passport members get $10 off an item when they sign up with email (free). Being in Pickett Shopping Center, there's a ton of parking and plenty of food, entertainment, retail options.

This location is less than a mile from my house, very convenient and has plenty of parking available even on weekends. Even though this is not my fav Nordstrom Rack, (San Marcos, Ca. location has better shoe selection) I found my best deals here by far. Im super petite and tiny everywhere. I wear either a size 00, 0, XXS or XS depending on brand and fit in a size 4 or 4.5 shoes. Being tiny, it's hard to shop for clothes that fits me perfect outside of kids section. I find that I either pay full retail price or get really lucky with highly discounted odd size shoes or clothing regardless of the store I go to. So when I need a wardrobe update, I'll spend hours at NR and comb through the racks carefully if I want to find really high end brand name pieces for super low prices. Last time I went looking for a dress to wear to my brothers wedding in July, I found a super pretty floral dress for NOTHING!!! Original price was 172 on sale for 20 and I had a 40 dollar note sitting in my rewards account, so I paid zero for it... score!!! I've also gotten a blouse for a penny lol... say wha??? How is that even possible? When I came in for the return, she didn't seem happy about it--even though it was still within the return window, the tags were still on, and there was no sign of the items having been worn or taken out of the bag. At first she was looking for an expiration date on the receipt. Once she saw it was still within the time limit, she started processing the return. The items were on multiple receipts, so she said she would do it as one transaction and that I should return everything at once. Up to that point I had no issue; I returned the items. As I was about to walk out of the store, I had a feeling that the amount I received didn't match what I had originally paid. This had happened to me before at the same store--items had gone on sale and they refunded the sale price instead of what I actually paid. I caught it in time last time and got my full money back. So I went back to the line to double-check. I understand it was Saturday around 3 p.m. and the employees were tired. I waited for her to finish with the customer she was helping, then politely explained that I felt this might have happened again and asked if we could verify that the refund matched my receipt exactly. Before calling the manager, she started recording our conversation on her phone without my knowledge. That part was super creepy. Then a manager (a guy with a gold ring in his nose) came over. I explained politely again what I was concerned about, and he said they had paid me the same amount that was on my receipt. I was so annoyed that they had been recording me without my consent that I decided to just leave and double-check the numbers at home. Luckily, everything was correct this time. But I will not go back and deal with that rude cashier or manager again. They've got zero in customer care!

Employees are free to wear whatever they like. It makes it harder to tell who is an employee and who is not. I wonder if this has anything to do with the Coronavirus? Or something else all together. Turns out it does have something to do with the Coronavirus outbreak thing. The company doesn't want people sharing aprons or having to wear the same apron. The steps of safty the company is taking. Speaking of safty, the new look of the floor design is something catch and historical for now. One far off day people will forget about this Covid 19 thing. Nevertheless, the staff members I have met so far are keeping a stiff upper lip. The store looks better than I gave ever seen it before. The store manager is on top of things here. Nicely done.

Tonight took the cake - they were vacuuming a good 2 hours before closing, while customers were shopping. All I could hear was a high pitch whirl coming from the vacuum. Also, DSW employees always ask if you need any assistance or if you were finding everything okay but not once did any of the employees on the floor greet or even make eye contact. Sadly, it felt like they were only concerned about closing. No bueno.
