Covet is one of my favorite shops. Offering a huge array of jewelry, plus some accessory, baby, and home décor options, it's definitely worth a stop. Covet is small, but well-merchandised, and since this isn't on a Lou Lou scale, you won't be overwhelmed. The overall style is slightly whimsical, and while I don't lean that way, there are still plenty of options for me, so do not let that deter you. I love Shiraleah bags and there are a few options here, so that makes me happy. The owner, Autumn, is quite friendly and knowledgeable about the items she stocks. I finally stopped by Covet today. It's located on the top floor of a small house, but it's packed with great stuff for gifts, or yourself :) They have a small, but nice, selection of jewelry and clothing. Their home goods are nice, and often whimsical. I'm a fan of imm Living items, so I was happy to see a few pieces in the store which are sold out online. Of course, I had to pick them up. In addition, they have quite a few things made locally, including art and some great smelling soy candles. They also carry some things for men in the bath section. I didn't expect to find ANYTHING for men in there, so that was a happy surprise. I was able to pick up some nice aftershave lotion for the hubs that smelled a LOT better than the lotion men normally seem to use. The rest of their lotions and bath salts were nicely packaged and smelled great. Covet is definitely worth the stop, so I'll definitely be back. read more

Covet! This shop, and it's sister downstairs (urban farmhouse) are my absolute favorites. I can do three or four laps around the store and still find new gems. I love this place for hilarious cards, little "thinking of you" gifts, and definitely new mama gifts. It's the only place I'll go for cards -- the messages hit the mark without being lame or cheesy. Clever, tasteful, purdy, a bit bawdy and always helpful -- and I'm not just talking about the awesome owner, Autumn, of this gem in Ballston. Covet resists the twee element of many a gift store and avoids the aggressively fauxhemian vibe of anthropologie. While there's no wanting for jewelry and candles, the selection is wide enough for the dudiest of dudes. My only wish for Covet -- more foot traffic. But perhaps the hidden-gem element of its convenient, but not Clarendon-walky, location helps amplify how truly rare a find this is. Oh, and there's plenty of parking. read more

A cute little boutique with knick knacks, jewelry, and stationery that would make great gift items. I suppose that what sets this boutique apart from the rest is its whimsical and imaginative baby and toddler section which you usually don't see in a boutique like this. This review is based solely on the fact that these folks are incredibly lame when it comes to their hours. On Yelp, their hours are posted as open until 6 pm on Saturdays. I came at 5 pm and the clerk was closing the shop. I then ask her if they will be open Monday and she says yes, and their hours on Yelp reflect this. I go back today, Monday, just to find that they're closed. Lame! They have lost my business. read more
